[Q] ROM with multi language built in - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Ordered HTC ONE from Telus Canada,
would like to install Kitkat. Can somebody tell me which ROM comes with multi-language input? which meaning I can type (not just display) other language (Chinese) without installing third party apps?
Thanks

Voice recognition

Hi,
French phones have not the Voice Recognition apps (voice dialing, ...)
I would like to try them, but I prefer to avoid flashing a whole new ROM just for that.
Can these apps be extracted from other (US ?) phone and installed on my SFR version (v1.5 , build CRB43) ?
What are the pieces involved ? (apk only ? native libs ?)
Does the UK version have it ? (I think I remember reading it was updated for UK accent...)

[Q]RUU HongKong/Singapore Edition for 802W

Hi There,
I just purchased HTC 802W (China Unicom) with dual Sim card (WCDMA and GSM).
The problem is, I hate the Official firmware (no Google Apps, no Facebook for sense, but full of useless chinese apps(at least for me)).
So I just want to know if I can install another RUU?
because Hong Kong Version or Singapore Version must be more usefull for me.
oh... did somebody try the developer RUU?
Can I install it in my device?
thanks

Samsung Note SM-N9208 Duos

Hello,
I bought N9208 today with the knowledge that it is compatible to my current carrier TMobile. I have several questions for those who have this phone.
#1. Am I able to install the operating system from TMobile? I am basically a noob when it comes to rooting etc etc. The phone comes unlocked.
#2. What is the primary difference between the N9208 and TMobile' N920T. I purchased this phone because it has 2 Sim slot and I like the Titanium color.
#3. What should I be doing first upon receiving the phone? How can I add flash software to this phone?
#4. Does unlock also mean the phone is rooted?
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the patience.

-> Tmobile phone will have Tmobile bloatwares
#3. What should I be doing first upon receiving the phone? How can I add flash software to this phone?
-> Worship its beauty. Flash software???, what year is it man... Flash passed away already.
#4. Does unlock also mean the phone is rooted?
-> no unlock means you can use it with any carrier you can think of. if you want to root, go here , this worked wonder for my 9208.
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the patience.

I think you shouldn't do anything to your phone during a few days, to make sure that everything works fine. With an unlocked phone you'll be able to use any SIM card, and with a rooted phone you'll be able to see, modify and delete system files that otherwise can't be seen, so if a phone is unlocked it doesn't mean that it's also rooted.
To flash a new ROM you can use Odin.

Thank you, the tracking says my phone will arrive tomorrow. I will make sure it works fine with TMobile before doing anything else.
Oh... what do you mean by "To flash a new ROM you can use Odin?" Does this mean I can use TMobile's operating system and not from Taiwan's since this is from Taiwan? Sorry i am really a noob when it comes to this.

You can't use a firmware of the N920T on your N9208, as they are different models. You can only install a firmware that is specific for your device model.

So what should I do? lol I don't want Taiwan's apps. I would like to cater my phone as closely as TMobile's.
I have the N9208 and use it on TMOUS. It does not come with any Taiwan apps, just all Samsung official apps. The traditional Chinese keyboard and handwriting recognition are on by default. I have not tried turning them off since I do write in Chinese sometimes. You cannot install TMO FW as they are two different models. The main difference is that the TMO supports Samsung Pay while the N9208 does not yet since it is not supported in TW yet. It is not rooted by default.

So what should I do? Just leave it alone for now, and not root it? Can the keyboard be changed to simplified chinese?

It's up to you, just know that if you do root, it will trip Knox. That means you won't be able to use Samsung Pay if it gets released in the future and Android Pay unless there is some workaround. Yes, there is Simplified Chinese. You can also always download third party keyboards if you prefer.

Oh, what do you mean by "traditional chinese on by default?" I mostly type in English, so I hope English Language can be on default. I currently have Note 3, and if I swipe the space key, it switches to simplified chinese. Is Note 5 similiar to this that?
I guess I will leave it alone for a bit and see how it does. I read on the T Mobile forum at Tmobile website and it says N9208 does not have "LTE" and that wi fi calling isn't available? Is this true though?
Thanks
I just received my Note 5 N9208, and there isn't simplified chinese. Do I go to google play to download it? Also, the weather, how do I add multiple cities' weather? I am not liking the Samsung keyboard already. Can someone help? thanks

I just mean that when you first use the device the default keyboard and handwriting are set to both traditional Chinese and English. Yes you can deselect Traditional and change it to English. On the Note5 you just click on the globe key and it will change the language. It does support LTE. I posted a picture in a post somewhere, you can look at my history to find it. It does not have wifi calling from what I can tell.

I read elsewhere in the forum that the N9200 (China Note 5) does not come with the google play store and that rooting is often required to get it. I don't want to root. Does the N9208 come with the google play store? I assume yes since it's the Taiwan version, but would love to get some confirmation. Thanks! My plan is to use the phone on AT&T in the US states, and on China Mobile in China (N9208 should be fine for use in China as long as not using China Telecom, from what I've seen on frequencycheck).

Getting International languages support on AT&T version

Hi,
Just got a G925A. This was a compulsive decision based on my next question:
I know that that the international version (G925F) supports many other languages that do not appear in the AT&T version.
Any way to get those languages? in other words:
1) Is there a way to install a specific language on the device? This would easily solve my problem.
2) Is there a way (and is it safe) to flash the G925F version on this device, with or without gaining root?
Thanks!
I believe if you go through keyboard settings there's an option to download more language options

What I Mean is
I mean display languages, not typing languages...
I saw there are apps that can do that (more locale 2 etc), but they require root, and this is problematic (5.1.1).
Any ither advice?
Thanks
My bad, but yeah I'm out of suggestions without being able to edit build prop sorry man

When you update to Nougat 7.0 you can download any language you want. Go to Settings-General management-Language and input - Language- Add language and click on 3 dots on right top corner and choose all languages. Find what you looking for and download.

International ROM with Czech language support

Hi,
I am looking for a way to enable using international languages in setting the SM-N910T. I need to send it to my mom in Prague and she does not speak English (not enough to understand the phone). I installed CM13 ROM on her phone, but now the Gear Fit Manager will not recognize the phone as Samsung phone and will not install. Does anybody know another ROM which supports Czech language (I mean the phone actual language as far as all menus and labels), or a way to install it as an add on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best help I can give you is to tell you to post this is the appropriate forum where you will get more views...which clearly this is not.
