Hello everyone. Bought a red HTC One recently and I love it to the fullest! Unlocked the bootloader, installed custom recovery and then rooted my stock rom. However when I tried to S-off by rumrunner method (running hboot 1.55), it fails at 'checking for updates' and then an error message. Most probably because of the lack of access to internet. However firewall disabled and no antivirus is installed. I checked rumrunners site and it is insanely slow today. In fact couldnt access it a couple of times or at times takes a lot of time to load. Can this be a reason? Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just tried to access rumrunner.us and i'm having the same issue, so I guess servers are down atm. The website doesn't reply to any ping request either.

maybe you can try firewater s-off or just wait a couple hours for rumrunner. I've been able to access to site once but it seems very slow atm.

I want unlock this phone… When i try to unlock modem not found or damage modem so my phone can't unlock…
I see imei and bas band both not shown….
I try to flash complete but IMEI and bas band not shown…..
How can i repair this phone…?

You must instal busybox than use getril

download new baseband then install getRIL and match it i recommend v20q you can find it in android development just search it

We have to wait for s-off.
With s-off we are able to change the CID.

Hello guys i root my motorola atrix HD and unlocked the bootloader but i dont know is the sim is unlocked?
i still have the 4.1.1 at&t but have super user.
No sim wouldn't be unlocked. That's something you have to get a code online for. Read through the forums and there are topics about this.

Would be nice but unfortunately not the case u have to buy a unlock code to do so i never had to unlock a sim so i dont have any known sources to recommend but there is many.

If you're lucky there is. On Moto Defy and Bravo if you enter the wrong code 5 times in a row you'd be hard sub locked (can't subsidy unlock after that)....a "feature" to prevent us from trying random codes over and over again till we're lucky.

I got mine unlocked but I have no idea if i should root and unlock boot. I don't know if it will present any complications.
There will be no issues from just doing that. In fact it makes it easier that if you screw up your phone you can flash a backup.

Rooting doesn't do much. You can put the phone back in stock without root and they won't really be able to tell if you voided your warranty I believe. But unlocking the boot, that's different. You get this lovely warning screen saying you've done so, but it does have great advantages. Using different ROMS and recoveries is all I can think of at that point. Other than that, not to much to gain other than root. That's what I did for a while, un-installing the stock Atrix HD apps that AT&T gives you helped with battery life for me, so.

What do you mean by manually OTA update. OTA means Over The Air. Meaning start it manually? Or do you mean through a PC?

Sideloading an OTA does not wipe your data.
You won't lose data, but if you are rooted you will have to root again after side loading (manual) OTA. I believe there are tools out there available (pixel flasher, for ex) to retain root on an update but I haven't used any of them though so I can't recommend one.

Ha, I only meant to put your solution up again since that answered the op question. Sorry for the confusion and misquoting.
Actually manually updating a Pixel 7 by sideloading a full OTA file using Pixel Flasher is pretty simple (if you understand the GUI) and convenient. Considering how long a regular OTA via wifi can take, it's awesome.
please help me , I am having problems with my Pixel 5a . After Re-Lock . My phone only shows a GOOGLE screen. i used the Google Android Flash Tool to Recover and Unlock. but then my device still just shows the screen is bright and has the word Google . In Fastboot it is displayed: Enter Reason: No vaild slot to boot. And when I run Flash-all.bat manually, it shows Fastboot Error: ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT not set and cannot continue. PLEASE HELP ME. THANKS A THOUSAND TIMES.

Make sure your bootloader is unlocked.
You can use PixelFlasher for simplicity, but if you want to use flash_all script, don't double click on it,
open a CMD prompt in that directory (you can just type cmd in the address bar to do so) and type flash-all.bat in the prompt.
You're getting that error because you are running from c:\windows\system32 directory, and Android Platform tools is not in your path.
