It seems to be somesort of firmware security kicking in, after it has realised the ROM has been modified. It is weird, it only starts after you have modified the ROM and then restart the phone once.
Still trying to figure out a bypass of somesort...

Now using Pie Control, you can swipe at the left-hand side of the screen to bring up the options. Also, Dolphin Browser has replaced Google Chrome.
Version 1.9 will be coming before May 2014. ROM is NOW BETA.

Unfortunately, the on-screen buttons on this ROM Image are not working, namely the homescreen one, this is due to the ROM being heavily modified and some form of security function kicking in. This is why Pie Control was included. If you do not like Pie Control, I suggest you use an alternative like Button Saviour.
I was actually going to include Button Saviour as the button manager for this ROM but Pie Control is more sleeker. Button Saviour is more down your lane - go for it.
Further updates to this ROM will be before MAY 2014.

I can confirm that Ultimate Dynamic Navabar (UDL) does not work with this ROM.
The homescreen button does not work as with the original on-screen buttons.

nothing has been done with the dock. i dont have one and have not started working on it.
everything you listed under 'doesnt work', works (aside from anything related to the dock). not sure what/how you have flashed. there is a bug with pressing back in cam app (listed above) which ill sort out.
chrome is a known issue (its already listed).

Apologies - I was cataloging the keyboard keys on the dock - not rom features. I must have been doing something dumb with the camera as it does work just fine right now. I have editied the post to be clearer. By the way I am a big fan of your work

There is a glitch on asus stock rom and the cromix is that the notification quick control option will overlay a bit when the UI is switced to tablet. Feel annoyed about that.
Is that Obsessive Compulsive Disorder(OCD)?

Odd - Can't seem to download with stock browser or downloader...
I am using this preview as my daily driver as it already works really really well. However I have discovered one oddity:
Trying to download a .pdf file from an Apache webserver fails with:
<Untitled> Download Unsuccessful
Message.
Using the ES File manager downloader worked just fine. Using my S3 works fine with stock browser.
Attempts to fix the problem that failed:
-Reboot (Standard windows fix but hey, you never know)
-Clear all browser data and retry
-Force stop Downloads app/service
Workaround for now is simply to download ES file manager and use its download functionality instead.

i can't reproduce. i just downloaded http://droidbasement.com/asus/tf701t/pdfSample.pdf with the stock browser. no issue. this is running nginx tho.

Interesting. That link works perfectly for me too. The PDF I was trying to access was behind a password I can't share. I'll try to set something up so you can test it too. Wish I had a nexus as another point of reference.

Hi,
This is a problem related to android fragmentation. On few android version, upload icon button will make crash or just 'do nothing' on click of it. Unfortunatly there is no fix for those, that is why we added a field at left of it to enter a link pointing to it. thanks!

Since I discovered all the OMS and Substratum capabilities, I started looking for themes that could make my device more mine.
But since I wasn't able to find something that could make my day with navbars, I started looking on how to create a theme by myself.
This is my first theme for Substratum, and even if I used it for a few days on my phone to make sure it's bug-free, please note that I am a simple android enthusiast and an occasional developer.
If I'd feel the need, I'll try to expand the navbar variations with other combos, but most of all the buttons you may think of are already present in other substratum themes around the web.

please do this.
disable all your applied themes [return to stock], and also clean installed ones.
then restart your device and apply navbars.
once applied and working, set your favourite substratum theme again [being careful not to set com.android.systemui.navbar theming].

Did your phone recently update to OOS 4.5.0? If so, the launcher is updated. You swipe up on the home screen, to bring up the app tray.
I did not update to 4.5.0 yet. (I'm on 4.1.7)
I just came looking for an explanation for this too.
I see that "OnePlus launcher" updated 2 days ago. Ok, so this snuck thru b/c I have auto-update enabled and the launcher is now in the Google Play Store.
EDIT: FWIW, I like this change (much more useful to me than the previous behavior) .. my alarm was in wondering how my phone changed without me explicitly accepting an update. Launcher now being in the Play Store explains it.

It was the launcher update, i did a system update to 4.5 the built in mp3 player was remooved and i just hate google play music, thank u anyway

The stock music app is pretty bad. Missing some basic features in better music players like Pulsar, BlackPlayer, Shuttle+, Retro, Pi, etc.

Yeah, the stock player's complete lack of any playlist support just makes it unusable for me. I don't see how anyone can use the stock player. They must listen to music completely different from how I do (complete albums, random shuffle?).
I actually updated to 4.5 a week or so ago. Didn't even notice the stock music player was removed from the update, until someone on this forum mentioned it!

Installed yesterday and currently it works great, fluid, battery is very well optimized, etc.
The only thing I found so far is that, on a Mi A1, we have touch resistive, and not on screen buttons (task mgr, home, back), that normally lights, but not on this ROM.
Could you please take a look at the issue?

Update: encription of the phone seems to be restarting the phone only. I'm not sure if it's also a known bug.
Also, in Revenge 3.2 buttons lighted up.
Back Gestures Not Working , even there is no option in the power button menu to boot to recovery.
Otherwise the new UI of the ROM is grear.

Recovery menu can still be reached through TWRP.
BTW what back gestures did you mention?

Advanced Reboot is now fixed, please download the new update if you're still using this Custom ROM
is this pre rooted custom rom? im looking for a rom that can turn off root or completely hide so other apps (bank, google play, etc) will work properly.

Blur is enabled by default, disable it. Also, try re-applying the wallpaper. It should smoothen it a bit. The default launcher will lag because of the blur. Use another launcher if you want to use Blur. For me, I use Lawnchair.

No, there is not
Can we use stock mi camera app (because of telephoto lens) on this rom? Also rom looks really promising. Good job guys!

Did anyone try LightningKernel-V9.0 on this rom ?
Hello I am using this elegant ROM daily and the truth is "very good job". The call recording and the particularities it has. Thank you very much already, thank you very much. keep it up.
I am using this ROM since last 4 days, and I have to say, it is the best... pretty stable and usable. Pretty snappy too. Only gesture navigation is having problem rest everything works really well.
