if it's a unbranded rom you want, it doesn't have to be UK.

A little understanding is a dangerous thing.... Why ask if you don't want to take the advice....
The EE Rom has no bloat ware and is multi csc know I use it, Now I suggest that you listen or better still read and do your own research as when people are bothered to help you its not polite to throw the results in their faces...

flashed uk i9305 with Portuguese rom

Hello all!
I am a noob so apologies in advance if this is not where it should be and not described how it should be.
My father in law yesterday had an galaxy s3 lte i9305 Orange upgrade and gave it to me! I however am on Vodafone so with my tiny little brain I set out to flash the phone with a Portuguese Vodafone firmware! This has not allowed me to use my UK Vodafone SIM and now left the phone with the custom firmware.
Is there any way at all I can reload the original UK firmware in order to sell the phone??
Any immediate help will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Nick

You don't have to sell it unless that is what you want to do.
You can have it SIM unlocked for about £17 on web.

Take a look at this firmware. It's labeled "Sweden", but under regions, it also says UK. Should work, I guess.

I did have a brief look at this but none of the sites I looked at had the s3 lte just the s3 as an option, are the unlock codes likely to be the same?
I will try this now. The portuguise version I have has th UK option but a few portuguise apps also download and the default language is obviously portuguise. I really would like to restore it to original if there is a way.
thank you very much for taking the time to respond.

You can get the codes on ebay for about £10
Hi guys, I'm a big n00b in terms of flashing as well.
I'll get a i9305 from Hong Kong in a few days, which obviously will have a HK firmware on it. The problem with that firmware is that it only supports 6 languages. I live in Norway and want my phone to be in Norwegian so I wonder if those firmwares from the UK support all languages or only the language of the region included?
Thanks in advance.
To restore original UK Rom download checkfus from the market and write down all the info for pda phone and csc etc and enter them on the pc checkfus app and download the Odin Rom from there!

unlocker dont work on the uk version had to pay for a code £24.99

If you want to install the official Everything Everywhere (Orange) LTE firmware, download and run Check4us. This lets you choose model and region then provides firmware options. Select the UK version, download, flash with ODIN and you are done. All back and working as a new Orange set up. As it's a vanilla Samsung install you might find it works for Vodafone although you will need to search the web for Vodafone APN settings and update the phone accordingly.

Grab your region's version, then flash via Odin.
I find it easier to not flash the latest version, but to an older version (4.1.1) just to make it feel "Stock-ier".

Perhaps in the east that is more than alight. But here if it's not the original CSC and there is no record of a service centre changing it you are screwed.

I've always been a little weary about flashing roms. I just like having the ability to update via kies. I'll probably look into soon though. My little Note isn't even a year old yet D;

[Q] Locked to UK carrier want to use on French carrier.

Hi All,
I've seen a second hand I8190N (S3 mini) for sale that's locked to a UK carrier. I'm wondering if I can just flash the firmware with the unbranded French firmware...
I8190NXXAMG1.LPMAMG2 ( I believe)
so I can use it with French carriers?
I've had a read and a lot of people obviously say use the one for your carrier for warranty purposes. I'm not bothered about warranty in this case.
I did read one post saying you can flash any ROM but the phone will remain SIM locked?
There's so much info out there I'm struggling to find an answer. Anyone know the answer or point me at it?

G973/DS looking for sim free firmware

Hi I've got a UK G973 S10 and although its unlocked it's on three network so there branding and bloat.
Is there any way to flash a sim free rom without voiding warranty or affecting Knox.
If so how? I'm not good at these things but would like to sort this out
Any help will be muchly appreciated.
Thanks

Yes with Odin and the official unbranded ROM of your country.
There is a site with all the available official ROMs
(Samsung firmware .com or something).
But you'll need to check that
1. It's available,
2. Odin is available.
I haven't checked to be honest
And you should find plenty of tutorials on XDA and YouTube.
