Recovery not working after trying to flash twrp with flashify - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Ok I was trying to update my trwp to 2.6.3.3 on my HTC one so I could install the new Viper One Rom. I located the img file in flashify hit flash. It said it was flashed and booted into recovery then it was stuck. Was able to restart my phone but now when I try to go into recovery it gets stuck. How do I fix this. Is there a way to fix this. should I unroot the phone or what I'm lost on what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok so how do I at least get 2.6.3.0 back should I use goo manager to reinstall it. And how can HTC one users install the new roms. I've been using a 4.1 Rom for two long.

Per TWRP Page ( http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/171 )
Download: http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7wls/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7wls.img and copy it to the folder that you have fastboot.exe located.
Download the above file into your platform-tools dir. Turn off your device. Turn on the device and keep holding volume down until a menu shows up. Select fastboot from the menu list. Plug the device into your computer. If you have the right drivers installed, your screen should now say FASTBOOT USB. Run the following command via the command line:

Reboot and you should have TWRP custom recovery.

GooManager from the playstore is the best to keep your recovery updated. it knows what recovery to install for you.

[Q] Htc One BRICKED.

After only four day of having this phone i managed to brick it. I would really like to know if its fixable or if i have a really nice paper weight. Im stuck on a boot loop, I was half way through flashing a rom when it suddenly shut off. Now it will not boot up. I can load into the bootlader but when i try to go into recovery it just sends me to fastboot. When i restart the phone i can see the old recovery (TWRP)for just an instant but then the screen goes completely black. If i plug in to my pc, nothing happens my computer detects it but it says y device is damaged nd it cant identify it. PLEASE HELP Am i out of luck?
Ive looked around but i couldnt seem to find anyone with the same problem as me (Sprint Variant)
Good news it's not bricked i would put this question on the rom thread someonethere sshould be able to help
There's a Sprint One forum as well, so hopefully you found a ROM on there!

I really hope so because on a college budget i cant afford another phone D:
Seen this in a couple of other places. Seems certain recoveries are possibly becoming currupted during flashing a new ROM.
What you need to do it get back into fastbboot, and....
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase cache
the re-flash your recovery, boot into recovery, full wipe and reflash your ROM.

Your phone isn't bricked. There are two tools in this forum that can help you. One is made by hasoon2000(I think that's his user name), and the other is jwtool(I think). Use them to help to flash a recovery if you don't know how to use fastboot.

Edit: Just got done typing the stuff below and saw you can't connect to your device in fastboot? What do you mean by re-installed driver?
Don’t worry, as long as you can still get into hboot your phone is not completely bricked!
The fastboot commands I referred to need to be carried out on your laptop/pc when you phone is connected in fastboot.
Can I assume that as you have already unlocked bootloader and flashed a custom recovery you are already familiar with this and have your computer set up for fastboot commands?
(Apologies if you already know some of this, best not to skip parts out though!)
I’d start with downloading a fresh version of your chosen recovery, and place it in your fastboot directory ready. I’d also do the same with your ROM.
Like you have already done, boot into fastboot. Connect your phone to your pc, and the red text should change to ‘Fastboot USB’.
Then open up command prompt and get to your fastboot directory. (On Windows 7 you just find that folder in Explorer, hold shift and right-click, then choose ‘Open command window here’.)
To check your pc is talking to your phone, type ‘fastboot devices’. You should get a device serial number back if all is well.
Then type ‘fastboot erase cache’ and hit enter.
Then type ‘fastboot erase recovery’ and hit enter.
Then type ‘fastboot flash recovery [name of recovery].img’ and hit enter.
Then type ‘fastboot reboot recovery’ and hit enter.
Hope fully you should successfully boot into recovery now. Once in recovery, mount USB storage and copy over your fresh ROM. Choose to do a full wipe including cache and dalvik, then reflash your ROM.
Reboot.
Let me know how this goes.

I used the hasoon2000 to flash TWRP earlier, but my problems is that my pc wont recognize my phone. When i plug it in it and try to re-flash it it cant find it. When i check my devices it shows up as an android device but it says the drivers are damaged. if i could get it to read it i think i should be eable to reflash somethint.
I APPRICIATE ALL THIS HELP. i really am trying to be as specific as possible :fingers-crossed:
Hey so just a thought and experience I have had with all my HTC phones is when you see that quick glimpse of the TWRP recovery screen then it disappears to an empty black screen......you are sometimes still in a form of recovery but during your Rom flash something (i don't know for sure) changed and it doesn't show the screen only black. So with that long explanation out of the way....have you tried once the screen goes black the
"adb devices "
Mine whenever in this situation would return the output of serial number and recovery so then you can push or sideload the Rom and boot into the system at which point your fastboot drivers will finally be recogniZed.....
Hope this helps a little

I'd say the next step is to re-install your drivers in the SDK. Open up your Android SDK and reinstall them. In Windows Device Manager, find your connected device (probably now with an exclamation mark on it) and right click on it and select 'Update Driver'.
(Assuming you are using Windows 7 here?)

(Win8 but the procces is identical.) All my drivers are up to date. Still no love.
On the dev forum is a thread that includes all the latest drivers (including an app to remove older drivers.)
Find that thread, download the drivers and bmp and driver removal tool. Remove drivers with tool, install the new drivers, reboot, connect phone and see if 'adb devices' finds anything.
Also make sure you're using the latest adb.

[Q] Help unbricking

Hi,
I have a Sprint htc one that I had previously unlocked, rooted and installed twrp and cm10.1 on. I was trying to restore the factory rom and now I can't boot up. seams like i have deleted all OS'. I can open the bootloader and twrp. I can not find any zip in twrp to reinstall cm10 just to get the phone working again. I have tried the adb function in twrp but it keeps failing. i have also tried to install the RUU file but can not get it to work. it states that my device has 1.31.651.2 and the RUU I'm trying to use is 1.29.651.7. Is there somewhere I can download the 1.31.651.2 image version. Or is there another way to unbrick my phone.

I think the safest at this point where FASTBOOT recognizes your devices but ADB doesn't is to go back to stock flashing a RUU this only requires FASTBOOT.

So no adb in recovery, but fastboot working hmm. So adb devices shows nothing?
Your device is obviously being detected to have fastboot working.
Try adb kill-server to reset adb and then check if it's detectable in recovery, also make sure to mount the data.
Use a different computer if available
Make sure you don't have any tethers installed that would ruin adb like easy tether
Try downloading and reinstalling the adb universal set up drivers.
Try running a RUU if you can
Sorry if i'm not much help I'm still noobish to all this still

Help! Phone won't boot

I ran the Cyanogenmod factory reset and now the phone will not boot. It is stuck on the Cyanogenmod boot logo. If I boot to the fastboot it tells me device is still unlocked with s-off. From there it will not boot further or go into recovery. If I try to go into recovery it sits at the Android boot logo.
If I need to do anything complicated to fix please explain. I haven't messed with the phone other than rooting, unlocking, and flashing roms.
Thanks!

You won't see the device, partitions and all.
It should only be present in device manager.
Try the command:
fastboot devices
it should get you the SN on your phone.
If u are new to fastboot and ADB try this article http://techbeasts.com/2014/01/05/useful-adb-and-fastboot-commands-and-how-to-them/
and this one even better:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2225405
After you understand fastboot and adb, and also performed the 2 commands above, if u deleted the zip archive of your ROM to flash again your phone, you will have to push or sideload a ROM, see point E) from this thread:

I have the google usb drivers installed, the fastboot folder made and the sdk installed and theres no devices listed.

Also try a different USB port from your computer.

Tried different USB, no change. Also that driver when applied still does not seem to work and now I have no "Android" section in my Device Manager. Device Manager updates the list when I plug in or unplug the phone but I cant locate what is being added/removed.

If I boot the phone normally and let it get stuck at the Cyanogenmod loading screen it sees my device. Tells me the serial number and "UNAUTHORIZED".
Booting in fastboot usb - nothing.

Try to see if u can install drivers manually:
Download the Windows7 (64 Bit) drivers here - http://d-h.st/OYI
Unzip to any location you want. Just remember where you put them.
Plug in your phone FASTBOOT to your USB cable .
Open your Device Manager (Windows Key + X and select Device manager) and locate HTC under Other Devices and right click on it and select Update Driver Software
Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
Click Browse and then select the folder you unzipped with the drivers in it then click next.
It should now install your drivers and then in your device manager it will now show up "My HTC" under Android USB Devices.

Still nothing. BTW that driver is older than the others.
Let me clarify a little.
Driver you gave me is installed and phone shows up in device manager when in fastboot usb mode.
However if I type "adb devices" I get the response "List of Devices" with nothing under it. There are no devices listed.
If I boot the phone normally and get hung on the Cyanogenmod Boot screen the command will show my device serial.

Well, if u don't see a new device in Device Manager when u plug your phone, is either Windows or your phone.
U already swiched usb ports.
Try another computer.
If that doesn't work, it's your phone's usb port, and that is a hardware problem.
****, I just realized my problem. I was using command "adb devices" not "fastboot devices"
UGGG *slams head on desk*.
I am in CWM Recovery now.

U still have your ROM zip?
Install that. Do not try factory reset again!
If not, I explained how to push or sideload a ROM

[Q] Updated Firmware and lost root and recovery

I need some help...I updated my firmware and I must of updated with the wrong firmware...did they one with stock recovery or something. Now my phone doesn't have a custom recovery and I do not have root. I tried to download the trwp tool and flash but it says I do not have root. Also when I try to adb connect to my phone it doesn't recognise that the device is there. I am running Insert Coin 4.4.4 version 5.03. Any help is much appreciated! Also I should mention the firmware was from Captain Throwbacks thread with the latest. I am also Soff.
Very strange @Captain_Throwback's firmware should not have stock recovery included.
You can fastboot flash twrp.
ADB = OS/Recovery
Fastboot = Bootloader
My computer won't even recognize my phone now so I can't flash anything through fastboot. The command prompt says waiting for device

Unplug phone
Uninstall everything HTC and reboot PC
Install these drivers
Plug phone in (drivers should install)
If not try this:
On your PC go to device manager and find your phone, right click and select properties
Select the driver tab
Select update driver
Select browse my comp
Let me pick
Look for ADB USB device or similar should be one of the first couple choices
Select MyHTC install and you should be good
Thanks that worked...flashed the recovery successful but wont let me go into it. I think its because I am not rooted. Do I just use the all in one tool to get root back?

If it flashed successfully you should be able to get into recovery.
Are you sure you flashed the correct version? There are several for the M8.
I ended up flashing another version and I got into recovery. Root Checker still says I dont have root so I am going to wipe and reflash my rom. Hopefully that will do it. Not sure what happened but I really appreciate the help with getting the drivers corrected so I could communicate with my device again. With out adb I didnt know what I was going to do.
