Changing the nav bar icons - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As I have figured out how to get the on screen keys to appear is there a way to change the icons?
If there is please forward me the appropriate links.

which ROM are you using?

I am using OmniROM 4.4.2. I hacked the build.prop to disable the hardware keys and I am using an app called softkeyZ to change the icons.

are you using Dalvik or ART?
Xposed framework does not work on ART and you will face reboots; so switch to Dalvik (if using ART) for using Xposed framework

Dalvik

[Q] Looking for an AOSP status bar & lock screen

As title says...
You guys know of any tweaks/mods/apps that I can't find? I've tried 'Holo Locker' from the Play Store but was too buggy.
Seen a couple of mods for status bar in the themes page but not any close enough to stock...
Thanks.
If you flash the TrickDroid, you can add holo status bar with Theme package, same for the lockscreen!

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for
Only thing is, I managed as far as getting the aosp lock screen, the holo blue status bar icons and the aosp percentage blue battery but the clock in the status bar was still white - did I miss something how to get it blue?
This is all after about 7 attempts in Aroma... *angry face*

Your file: SystemUI.apk.
for use that, replace it in system/app with solid explorer or other file manager or push it with:
Code:
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app
and reboot your phone
Enjoy!

[REQ] Sense 5 4x1 clock/weather background removal

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to remove the black background of the 4x1 sense clock/weather widget. This would make it match the one on the lock screen. Would be really awesome if there is a way to do this.
Also as a second thought is there a way to remove the background on the rosie bar as well but leave the line that is on top of it. This would make it look similar to the top bar (as a separate patch from the clock one)
Thanks in advance for any replies!

For weather clock bg its in htcweatherclockwidget clock_weather_panel and for the dock its in prism home_nav_bar_bg both are jpgs in stock and must be turned into a png and then apply transparency to them
Sent From A Tweaked OutHTC ONE
Thank you for the reply!
I've never modded android files before is there a certain color that represents transparent or do I just bring it into photoshop and delete the background?
Once i have modded these files do I leave them as PNGs with the same title or do I have to make them jpgs again (which I don't think support transparency but I could be wrong)
Sorry I'm a novice at this.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Things I have tried to no avail (I'm noob)
1) exporting the files from the APKs converting to PNG and making it transparent then saving them in the APK as PNG (removing the old jpg)
2) This did not work so I then tried renaming the PNG back to .jpg still keeping the exact title then tried both flashing a zip and manually overwriting the file and rebooting still did not work (manually replacing the APK just caused HTC to crash over and over until I flashed my backup)
3) tried using a morph app that was recommended elsewhere on the forum (NinjaMorph) applied the file change, no change appears on the clock still solid background

Nope.. just sense 4+. Android 4.1.1. Btw, i tried installing the apk inside the zip file, yep it did installed properly but when i select the widget it just says "problem loading widget". I thought it was just that simple..
Anyway, what is vrtheme?

basically it modifies the apk existing already on the system, so for example 4.2 sense 5 might have the same widget but since it's upgraded firmware the apk in this zip might not work or FC, so the VR theme would decompile the apk replace any of the changed files then recompile the apk in line so it works on any number of devices/roms/ect

I see.. for me it's not that easy since i'm still new to this. Anyway, could you do that vrtheme to make the apk work with the One S? That would really be great, since i can't find in the playstore the exact look of the widgets in sense5.. maybe the only way is to port the widgets directly from the files from the One..
I'm looking forward to the vrtheme you would be making. Thanks so much. Kudos to you!

Oh i see.. so i need to be on a sense 5 based ROM to be able for the vrtheme you will make to work properly.. but sad to say as of now, there isn't any stable sense 5 ROM for One S.. most of them are still on beta stage that's why i'm still with Viper. But, is there any way that the vrtheme you'll make will work on sense4+? Or is it really impossible?

Try to delete old one and manually move apk's to system/app.
Emoj's are in textinput-tng.apk (or chn for Chinese key) in res/drawable.
Maybe there is need for MODed framework, don't know that for sure, but I doubt.

Although, there's couple offramework jar files so if you flashed it, maybe they aren't flashed well.

[Flashable] Enable Softkeys

Screenshot:
I made a flashable zip that does the following:
-Enables on screen nav bar
-disables the capacitive keys
Also didn't think I'd actually have to put this in the OP but don't use this on a non stock rom.
I have been too busy to update these for the newest update, however @nilac was nice enough to pick up where I left off, thank him when you get a chance
