Sprint LS995 .tot and .dll file for sprint users who have bricked their phones - LG G Flex

Here is the Sprint .tot and .dll file to use in the LG flash tool to go back to stock. I am not responsible for anything you guys do with these two files. I am Just providing them for individuals who might need them. Also hopefully it will help us get a recovery on this device. Keep in mind that I bought these files for all of us to have.

This is a zip package. So in order to use them please unzip the package first.
Thank you to wolfgart for the files.

is this so we can get developers to make a custom recovery??????????
it is supposed to be the stock firmware for the revolution which would allow you to flash your system back to stock.
I have scanned the file and there are 3 files contained inside. I have not been able to extract them however. There are 3 img files inside which tally some 700+ meg.

I have not found a way to extract the embedded files either. This is used with a Verizon only tool that is readily available. I wouldn't recommend flashing this unless you brick or destroy your phone (as a last result).

It's a program called: LGNPST. You can Google it and you will find a few download locations.
I looked everywhere to find out how to load this, can somebody with lg experience point me in the right direction. im coming from a droid x, i would just sbf to restore a phone; that was easy
LGPNST does not support this device yet that I know of.
Verizon has a tool as well but I don't think it works with TOT files.

Yeah, you have to have the proper DLL, and we haven't found it yet. Cubed said he'd have a stock ROM out here shortly.
After that, he plans to deodex and release a cleaned version of stock (debinged)

Hi,
this is the factory soft provided by LG to update VS910.
[LGDP2V42]only_VS910_20110430_download
but this soft need a protection dongle (need to be attached to PC) to run. LG Service Centers have this. It will be intersting if someone can find something useful from it.
I don't know if it works or not but...
http://www.mobile-files.com/forum/showthread.php/1384-How-load-TOT-file-with-LGNPST-LAB.1.2
So i guess in LGNPST, you just click browse, then put *.* in file name, hit enter, then select your .tot.
The problem isnt getting the software its the fact that unlike motorola the lg program requires a device specific .dll file so without that file the flash software and firmware are really of no use

Flash KDZ file

Hello,
I have a KDZ file of my cellular company.
A few minutes ago I tried to flash it via KDZU and R&D Test tool with no luck,
I got LG update window instead of flashing window, and then I saw the post with SmartFlash Tool.
How can I flash the KDZ of my specific cellular company using SmartFlash Tool? (I don't understand what are the .bin & .fls. files)
Thanks!

Not at all, but there seems to be a work around, but I cant find the link right now, maybe anyone else can provide it, I think it was somewhere in the P920 section.

Look in "General" and look for a post "Return to Stock"
As a polite reminder, you should never flash a rom if you can not get back to stock easily.

Root ZVA or ZVA>ZV6>Root?

Let me start of by saying I have already done a bit of searching, this is not my first root, but most of my Android knowledge is with HTC phones. I am having trouble trying to downgrade to ZV6 so I can root. I've followed multiple tutorials on how to downgrade with LG up and LG flash tool. LG UP says my LS991ZV6.tot files(have tried 2 and verified md5 before hand) are not proper tot files. Also tried the LG flash tool method with no success. Is there a crucial step I am blindly missing? Thanks.

[RESTORE][TOT] Sprint LG G5 (LS992) ZV3 TOT

Well, another device, another round of TOT files that I need to pull.
NOTE: As of posting there is no known way to flash this yet. I know others are working on this so will go ahead and post this.
That way when it's ready, this isn't holding it up.
By the way, any future releases will be mirrored on Rwilco12.com.
I thought we were hitting space issues and that does not appear to be the case.

Awesome! Thank you!
Does anyone know what the dialer code is to get into the engineering menu. I only ask here because I read that on the G4 there was an option to flash from the sd card. Maybe that is where they hid that ability on the G5. This is my first Lg so please excuse me if my information is not correct.

Hello,
As far as flashing the tot file, could we not do it using the LG flash tool?
I haven't messed with the flash tool since the G3 days so kindly refresh my memory.
thanks

Hello, here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737594 " is a list of epst codes A.k.A ## codes.
I know some of theses work with the LG.. my favorite is the "##3282##" hopefully you can find the one you need in the forum there.
As for the flashing a rom from sd card .. in the stock recovery there is the option to "apply update from SD Card"
As a disclaimer i am not responsible for what happens to your phone for using the above info..use it at your own risk....i know i do!

Just released! http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/megalock-dll-lg-flash-tool-2-0-1-6-t3367222
YAY!!!!! now we just need the dll for our phone to get it to work right. and a way to properly extract the files out of the .tot file
Well I have good news. I got LGup to flash the your .tot file, Garwynn. a bit of a headache but it worked. I'll be posting my work here and a few other places. Here's how:
1. Install LG flash tool from ieatacid from here and make sure you can open it with no issues and see where you can choose the .dll for whatever phone you have (this isn't the program needed but the program needed needs a few of the dlls from it).
2. Install the LGbridge setup from here and let it update. Need this for the proper drivers. while it is installing DO NOT have phone plugged into USB port or it will warn ya.
3. install the LG up lab framework 1.11 and the LGH850_DLL file from here
4. Download and extract the LGUP.zip file from here
5. Install the .reg file and put the LS992 folder in the LG Electronics\LGUP\model folder which will be either in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) depending on whether you have a 32 or 64 bit windows installed
6. Put phone in download mode ( Phone off, vol up while plugging in usb from PC), start LGUP
7. Make sure you see a com # and phone model and at the bottom where it says BIN, select it, at which point you should see 3 dot on the right, select it and choose the .tot file listed above, then hit start and wait for the magic.
I give creds to autoprime for his good work, garwynn for the .tot file, and ieatacid for his LGFlashtool. and if I missed anyone, I am giving you credits and apologizing for not mentioning you
My show up unknown any advice thanks
