Update for ATT D950 Today - LG G Flex

I got an update that failed today because of root. I am going to put it in survival mode and try again. Has anyone else got the update?
I installed OTA Root Keeper and am seeing if I can get it to take.

Well I am not getting the update now. I was sitting at my desk when the update hit and it rebooted on its own and the errored out. Interesting?

I got the update about an hour ago. It rebooted my phone and installed 2 updates.
I didn't get any errors.

Yeah just got it like 20 minutes ago. Not rooted yet though.

Just got the update as well... Anybody know what was in the update?

No i'm using stock... I'm still messing around with it to see what changes were made... I do know the 2 updates together we're very small....no kit Kat 4.4....still 4.2.2

Nope, not rooted as of yet.
I haven't noticed anything different after the update. The whole update maybe took 2 minutes, if that.

if anyone can pull this update before you install it and send it to me.. that'd be swell.

I was trying to find where it downloaded. Any ideas where to look? Admittedly I am not very knowledgeable but I know some basics. Im using root explorer to try and find it do I need to plug it in and use adb? It downloaded on my phone im pretty sure but then failed when it rebooted and tried to install.

is the update V10I ??? its been out for a few days now, If so I`m trying to Obtain it and someone wanted to charge me $30 for it.. What a jerk lol.

Auto Update on Rooted Flex AT&T
Just letting everyone know as far as i know i was sleeping the other day and woke up to my phone saying that it had installed 2 updates without any consent from myself. I was a little upset once i saw this cause i had previously rooted my phone. But to my surprise i never received any messages with errors. I also ran root checker and everything seems to beer in working order. I never lost root and now my phone is updated. Hopefully this doesn't prevent me from getting twrp, or cwm. But I'm going keep my fingers crossed.

I saw the update but it never downloaded for me.

**Great...I kept ignoring it and rebooted my phone and now can't get it to pop back up. Keep checking but nothing yet. Maybe someone else will have some luck however I don't think this OTA is anything special. Maybe even just some PRL updates or something.**
Im in SC, and have tried clearing google services and multiple restarts and no sign of an OTA
Im up in ny, and I still have no update. I hope it's not an update to patch the root exploit.
Not OTA, but there is this page with the Sprint PH-720 about halfway down.

I've spoken to Samsung and Sprint about this today and something tells me this update was pulled.

Why haven't I gotten the OTA update yet?

Just about every hour of the day, I have touched my finger on that "Check Now" button in the System Updates page. It keeps saying I am up to date, although my system software number still says it is 4.2.2. I am on stock android, non-rooted, and I live in the USA. I just don't get it.
Also I am EST, so right now it is 9:18 pm as I post this.
It always takes a day or two for the rollout to get to everyone. Just chill, you'll probably get it by tomorrow.

OTA rootkeeper will NOT keep root they changed the way security works in 4.3

Android 4.3 Notes:
Based on Android 4.3 release notes, on Enterprise and Security, Restrict Setuid from Android Apps, su binaries and Superuser apps designed for previous Android generation will simply not work on 4.3:
It means preserving root with OTA Root Keeper won't be possible anymore as new rooting techniques rely on more than just a setuid su binary in /system.
I'll look into solution of course to preserve the functionality if possible, but until then please follow Chainfire's job on SuperSU betas.

You can update while rooted but not with a custom recovery installed. We are able to update while rooted because we don't have a bootloader bypass and custom recovery.

How do you disable the automatic update? I stopped the update. Deleted the .apk using Root Explorer but I still get the notification that it's downloading the update. Perhaps I deleted the wrong .apk??? In any case, I stopped the update but now there's the stupid notification that the update's pending.
I'm not rooted at all and got that same update today. I went through the whole shabang, it restarted and said updated after the whole android is updating deal. Something weird happened after updating when I connected to Kies 3 for the first time ever. Its says "Your device is not supported to update firmware via kies" Current firmware version : PDA: MJ5 / PHONE : MJ5 / CSC : MJ5 (ATT)
Anyone else come across this?? Like I said I'm not rooted and completely stock
D'oh!!! I never froze or deleted anything to stop the update. I didn't care if I got notification or not. I just had the icon this morning and prompts to update. BUT WTH?!?! It forced updated on me. what's up with that?! It normally prompt me to update or postpone, but this time it says restart to update. The only thing to do was hit continue and that's it. I couldn't stop it or cancel it.
So WARNING, if you wanna keep your root, disable the updates.

Chances are from that size it is just the 4.4.4v update.
They are dragging their feet on releasing the 5.0v
Figured as much, though I wanted to hope.
Can't help but wonder why it would show up now after checking for so long and not seeing anything.
And while I'm here, is the update worth it as far as trouble w root goes?
Thanks for the replies btw

Update available h81110n

I just updated LG Bridge trying to do a backup so I can try and root from the one click method. After LG Bridge updated I decided to check for an update and sure as **** there was one. I'm running it now. It is 1.66GB.
Are you noticing any improvements to touch response, performance, temperature, etc?

So far I can't make it all the way through the update process. I'm not sure if it is because of my attempts to root my device with the one click method and now stock recovery isn't on the phone?
UPDATE: Seems as though my drivers got messed up when my computer updated the LG Bridge app. Phone seems to be updating now.
UPDATE: Still just 5.1. Too soon to tell what has been improved upon.

You will most definitely have problems if you try to OTA update while having twrp. You'll have to re-root and re-flash twrp assuming the methods available now are still successful. Once someone packages it into a flashable zip you can keep twrp and root after flashing
