[Q] **HELP!** Bricked DEFY - RDS lite not working - Defy Accessories

Hi! I have a huge problem. A couple of days ago I decided to install a custom ROM on my DEFY. I am a total rookie in this field, so I googled a little and got some information needed. I rooted my phone with One Click Root method. Then I installed 2ndInit and got an access to Custom Recovery. I downloaded CyanogenMod10, did a backup, wiped all my data and flashed CM10. Everything worked just fine and I was satisifed. But I forgot to do a copy of my contacts and some other stuff, so I decided to flash my backup back and store my contacts on sd card. I opened custom recovery and wiped all the data from the phone. Then I wanted to restore my backup, but my phone got somehow stuck or something and I had to reboot it. Now I cannot access custom recovery any more! When turn my phone on, I can only see Motorola logo. I can only get to so called Android recovery, where I can only wipe my data, and bootloader. So I tried the whole RDS Lite method, just as it was described here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1828639
Everything seemed to work fine, but after getting to around 97% it looked like this:

So I am out of options right now and I have no idea, what to do now. Can anyone please help me? I searched the web and I can't possibly find anything! Please, I really need to fix this.

[Q] anyone else using a stock ROM from a different company?

Is anyone else out there using a stock ROM from a different phone company on their Vivid/Raider?
I'm on Bell (in Canada), and managed to get the AT&T stock firmware to load on my Raider. It took a bit of doing (CID error), but it works well. Titanium Backup was essential to restore my apps & settings from my previous ICS install.
I am s-off with an unlocked bootloader.
I installed Clockwork Mod and ran a full back up onto an 8gb microsd card. Then I put that card away for safe keeping so I can revert back to Bell's firmware. I burnt a copy to DVD to be double sure...
I googled "VIVID_ICS_OTA_ROOTED_CWM.zip" and downloaded it right onto another microsd card. I booted back into CWM and flashed the .zip file and restarted the phone. I saw this file mentioned in other posts but the links were always dead. Doing it this way bypasses any CID errors.
Being that it's rooted, I was able to remove a lot of the AT&T apps I'll never use. I restored my apps with Titanium in about 20 minutes.
The only odd thing was I had to locate the APN entries for Bell so I could get my data back. They are here, just search for it. It takes about 5 minutes.
I've made a safety copy/back up of the AT&T firmware on my system.

Overall, it was a bit of a PITA, but I like the look of the ROM (4G).

I messed up my phone, need some help.

I decided I wasn't going to root/install any roms on this phone, but Samsung recently updated their Samsung Pay app and there has been a huge square at the bottom of my screen for quick access to this stupid ****ing app that I can't uninstall and will never use. So I decided to try and install a new ROM on it and I was following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...m-darthstalker-note5-version-1-aroma-t3212091
I don't exactly know how it happened, I got lost in tons of pages of guides and whatnot, but I eventually installed Noble Kernel, which then gave me the KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING boot stuck error. I then tried to install TWRP because apparently Noble Kernel is the only one you can load via Odin, and now im getting RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING.
All I can boot into is download mode. I tried flashing stock android and odin always fails after less than a second, and it gives no reason why. Ive tried every version of odin, all my USB ports, and different stock image files.

Has anyone gone through this? I have no idea what to do next.
Same issue... is there a resolution

If u can still go in download mode then search for SamFirm in xda or look into general section of note 5 thread. I think ur model is T version. Here u can download the 4 files thru SamFirm and flash thru ODIN method.

error after rooting oneplus 3T :(

Hi There,
Today I've got my new Oneplus 3T. After I've had a Oneplus One I would like this one to root. So I used this instruction and youtube explanation. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQOJR5sUto0 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/development/toolkit-oneplus-3t-toolkit-unlock-t3507729 )
It worked......., but only
After that I stopped the usb debugging (because of the continuos icon on top of the screen) and I installed the new nogoat update (920 mb) after that my phone rebooted and every time I get the error shown in attached picture decoding failed....).
Help me what to do...

Any chance you can re-upload the picture of the error? it doesn't seem to have gone through.
The message in the picture is....
Deoding failed
Tour phone syorage had been damaged. Unable to read data stored on your phone! To continue to use your phone, you need to reset the phone (the entire contents and data of your phone can not be recovered).
I've done this reset but no normale start up....

After root, normal OTA doesn't work. So if you want to update download the entire ROM and update from it.
Follow this guide and start over again. You'll lose your data on the device storage, but its better than a bricked one.

Follow that guide step by step, you should be good to go.

I think I bricked my TF701T

Hi all,
So, I was running fine with CROMi-X KitKat, but wanted to upgrade to Marshmallow (to install sw not supported in KitKat), so decided to try KatKiss 6.0. It's been years since I've played with flashing ROMs, but I did a little reading to refresh my memory. Then I rebooted into recovery (ClockworkMod), backed everything up, then wiped everything, formatted /data, and tried flashing the KatKiss zip file. At that point, it just sat there forever at the ASUS logo screen:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
I've tried several times to boot back into recovery by holding the Vol+ and Power buttons, but it either doesn't boot, or boots to the above screen. I've connected it to my Mac w/ the Android SDK Platform Tools, but adb doesn't see any device listed. [I've got an old Windows laptop (XP?)] I could use if it will do something the Mac can't.]
Any advice on how I can save this tablet?
Have you found a solution finally?
Well, I haven't found a solution, but after letting it sit unplugged for months, I came across it today as I was straightening up. I plugged it in, waited maybe half an hour, and was able to boot it into recovery mode. I was then able to restore from a backup, and damned if it didn't reboot and come up just fine. No idea why it wouldn't boot into recovery before, but I'm happy camper!

Interesting, but how did you manage to corrupt your efs partition? And how should developer Rom help your Problem (if there will be one in future, what is not clear)?
This was completely my fault. İ am not so interested phone OS or softwares but i like investing.
I learn while i broke something
i need my efs partition's recreation but i it is not possible. my only hope is a rom that create itself. I dont know what exactly called, i read at somewhere as "eng mod".
