Once you go G Flex you cant use any other phone. - LG G Flex

Hi, I have the G Flex for almost 2 weeks, and have been using it as my daily. After watching and reading the reviews online all the reviewers bashing it, already thinking its not a good phone I was skeptical about it before buying. Now after using this phone all i can say all the reviewers are getting paid by Samsung really well.
This phone is buy far the best and the most comfortable phone with biggest screen by far.
Faster and smoother then any phone in the market right now.
The screen is beautiful with HD screen all the apps are easier to use with one hand with this resolution compairing to full HD screens.
The UI on the G Flex is buy far the best and most castomisable with no hiccups.
Battery is the longest lasting of any phone.
Sound and speakers are very good.
Camera is also very good.
Does not get warm or hot when using it.
It has so many useful features like dubble tap to sleep or wake.
Swipe the navigation left and right to make it one hand use easier.
I have the Galaxy s4 now and when I try to use it. Its slow and in hand it feels like flat and dull.
The G Flexes Curve is so beautiful and comfortable after cuple of weeks that i cant never go back to any other phone.
I had all the top phones last year Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 5, Lg G 2, Htc One, Moto X and still have the Galazy s4 .
This is the best ,biggest, smoothest, fastest phone with a beautiful screen on the market right now. Don't trust the reviews, go buy it and use it, you will love it.

I've been saying this all along...if you buy a phone based on what reviewers have to say about it, you will miss out on alot of good things..
I came from a htc one max, another phone the reviewers hated, but that too was a fantastic phone, that everyone who had one agreed on.
Unfortunately it was on Sprint, and their network was just horrible in our area, so we went T-Mobile and couldnt be happier; I have a flex, and my wife/son have G2's, and we are all happy again..

Imagine if Samsung and Apple made this same exact phone what would have happened. Everyone would be all over this and screaming that this is innovation. Thank you Lg that you made this beautiful LG G Flex.

The G flex is my favorite phone at the moment, had the Korean version a few weeks and getting the AT&T version today. It's a beast. However...
- I don't think Samsung paid reviewers to bash it
- It isn't the smoothest and fastest android phone on the market, that title belongs to the nexus 5 hands down.
Other than that it has the best battery life ever, I love the UI customizability (just like the G2), it is the most comfortable big phone thanks to the curve, call quality is excellent, the display is better than most think (not the best obviously but definitely usable).

I love my G Flex in its current form. I just hope LG can push out the Kit Kat update sooner than later to make an already awesome phone even better

Well the G Flex has so many features that we dont need kitkat. I had the Nexus 5 on kitkat noting special. The proccessor is so fast that it handles anything.

Agreed; "newer" doesn't mean "better"

Sorry but I disagree.
My roommate just went and got one against my recommendation and I'm playing with it to see what I'm going to have to teach him how to use (he's used to TouchWiz).
Its single hallmark feature (the curved display) is the WORST I've ever seen on a mobile device! Its 720p, its not saturated, you can easily see the pixels on the screen without even having to put it close to your eyes, and it has a blue hue to it that is the worst that I've ever seen. It actually hurts my eyes to look at the screen. Big fail.
With that said, the talk about it being flimsy and such is exaggerated. It feels like you could break it, yes. But not any more so than a Note 3 feels and maybe slightly less.
The performance is absolutely stellar. I have to give it to LG on that one. I've never seen such a smooth device.
It really is a shame that they made such poor choices with the display. I was considering getting one myself until looking at that screen for 10 minutes. That was enough to seal it for me that this device is not for me, even with its incredible speed.

did you turn the brightness up to 70+?
makes a BIG difference..

I used the note 3, nexus 5 and the Galaxy s4 and the screen on Lg Flex is beautiful. I put it side by side with the s4 right now the G Flex looks better.

I traded in my S4 for the Flex. Nothing wrong with the display on it. Take it off the Auto setting and crank it up to at least 80%. Got lots of battery so no worries there like with the S4. Sure, 720p... big woop. Who else makes a curved 6 inch display that looks this good? I don't know what the bashers are looking at! Pretty harsh words from some of them. This device offers very adequate visuals with this display. Not by any means the best visuals but certainly not worthy of some of the trash talk that has been thrown at it. In 2 weeks of use, this has become my most favorite device ever overall. The size isn't a problem, the Jelly Bean 4.2 works really well, Battery is amazing! It really has to be a personal experience for everyone. It is a unique device after all.

lots of people feel the same way..
Not every one will like every device, and, that's the beauty of CHOICE, especially Android!
If you don't like this phone, that's ok, there are plenty of others to choose from.
Personally, I think this phone is super sweet, has a beautiful screen, is fast as hell, with super battery life. Lots of unique features, IMO, and once we get custom recovery and a rom or 2, this thing will become super popular...but even if it doesn't, who cares, this isnt a popularity contest, and no matter what, its really unique and fun just the way it is right now.

Everyone I've shown my phone were impressed by the large & rich display. Even one one friend tried to bend it

I will never bend my Flex. Guess the screen could get bubbles that go away. I used my G2 today and just picked up my Flex again. I loved my G2 but the Flex just feels a lot better to me. Not to mention just looking at the curve gets me excited. Ok TMI. Lol

Just give us a custom recovery and I'd love this forever phone until someone makes a 6 inch 1080 display that'll get me 19 plus hours of use. Coming from an s3 720 doesn't bother one bit

The screen isnt bad enough as to me not buying this phone. I really really like the screen. Smooth and bright without the super amoled saturation levels

It's us the techy ppl that are more picky about the display but the general consumers don't notice the difference. At my job everyone is praising my G flex display, they have no idea it is 720p.

[Unofficial] Nexus 4 Compliments Thread

There seems to be a lot of people talking about issues with the Nexus 4 and ways to fix them, etc. While that's completely necessary and appropriate, wouldn't it be nice to just have a thread where we talk about how much we like our brand new device? I think so and hopefully the mods will too. Anyway, in the spirit of this thread I'd like to begin with how much I'm liking my Nexus 4:
Things I like:
Screen - The screen is really nice. Even though the screen on my One X had much warmer colors, I'm not at all opposed to the more natural colors of the Nexus 4 (yes, I do believe that the SLCD screens saturate colors, though it's much better and acceptable than the saturation of AMOLED screens).
Call Quality - Call quality is better and louder than that of my One X or Galaxy S II. Though there is a little bit of noise, it's not at all distracting.
Camera - The camera, while not the best on the market, produces quality images. My One X has trouble producing decent pictures using an AOSP ROM, so it's a definite upgrade in this department. Pictures on the Nexus 4 are good to great quality probably 80% of the time.
Things I love:
External Speaker - The external speaker is absolutely wonderful. My first Android device was a Motorola Atrix and, while not the greatest phone I've ever had, I've yet to have a device that beats the loudness of its external speaker. Well, the Nexus 4 is the closest I have found. I was able to still clearly make out the lyrics to songs when I was in a room about thirty feet and two open doors away from the room where my Nexus 4 was sitting. Plus, it sounds very clear even at the loudest volumes. I definitely have no complaints in this area.
Build Quality - The build quality is fantastic. Everyone can rave about the quality of HTC's phones which I do believe are well made, but this device simply feels premium. One thing I admit defeat to with Androids vs iPhones is that iPhones (4/4S, and 5) easily beat any Android device in build quality. This can be argued with HTC devices and possibly a few Motorolas, but I'm entirely convinced that the Nexus 4 has blown the iPhone 4/4S and 5 out of the water. What really has surprised me is how solid the glass is. There is no give like there was on my HTC One X, Galaxy S II, or Atrix. The weight feels very nice in the hand, the metal strip on the side is a nice additional aesthetic, the buttons being the same color as the metal strip is a nice touch, and I really like the feel of the rubber material on the side. Oh, and that wonderful design on the back really grabs attention. Of course, it's very depressing that I have to have a case over it at all times due to the glass back, but I'm confident that a nice bumper and a back screen protector (if that's what it's called) will work wonders.
Android 4.2 - Pure Android is a big reason to buy a Nexus device and the Nexus 4 doesn't disappoint because, well, it's a Nexus device. Android 4.2 is really great. Though it's not a huge improvement over Android 4.1, it doesn't really need to be because 4.1 isn't that old and it's sort of fine with me to just enjoy the awesomeness of Jelly Bean until next summer when we'll hopefully get a glimpse of Key Lime Pie. But it's not like Google to not give use new features with a new Nexus device, and they definitely didn't skimp out. The camera software is pretty great and very much needed. It's just better all around and much more intuitive than in previous versions. I'm also loving the crop options Google has given us and the filters are a nice touch that I've used a few times already (I'm getting into Instagram, apparently).Though PhotoSphere is gimmicky, it's fun as hell and everyone who I've shown the final product to has said something along the lines of "You did that with your phone?" One of the biggest small things I've noticed is the animation when switching between apps. It's ridiculously smooth. I can't remember if this was in a previous version, but I never noticed it on my Nexus 7, so I don't think it was. I don't want to go too in depth here, but all of the Android 4.2 features such as home screen widgets, Daydream mode, and many others, while not being detrimental, are certainly welcome.
So, there you go. I just think that a place where we can all appreciate our Nexus 4 is a great idea, so I made one . No one needs to go as in depth as I did, but if you'd like to, feel free.
We were married on the 29th, but I haven't bought the ring yet.

This phone is just so amazing. I knew that HTC's build quality was good (Sense sucks), but this had even better build quality and SMOOTH STOCK ANDROID!!!!
Zero complaints with mine. Coming from a Note II and a S III...still think it's my best device yet. I've had it 10 days already.

The wife and I have both been enjoying ours for two full weeks now and not looking back. We jumped ship from sprint and are saving nearly 100 bucks a month and getting much faster data speeds on T-Mobile prepaid. This is an awesome android experience device without any bloatware and the Dev support that is around in such a short time is simply amazing
Build quality is better than gs3 as far as I'm concerned and I really liked mine, I just couldn't justify paying so much a month anymore for 3g. Win win all around for us!

I love how smooth the screen is. It feels like there's a layer of butter between the screen and my finger, but when I go to clean it, there's no butter on it!
Comparing to my previous nexus one, this phone is much much much better. All I can say is awesome! From one core to quad core, 512MB ram to 2GB, a much bigger screen. What else can I complain? Moreover, I spent almost 600 on my nexus one but now only 400 on nexus 4! Overall, I love this phone for sure!

Easily the best phone I've had. Its ridiculously smooth UI is great, and the screen is lush.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what this thread is all about.
Not us giving the Nexus 4 compliments, but us telling stories how the Nexus 4 has fetched us compliments :good:
As for me the only thing I had happen was while I was unboxing my phone, I went to test the camera outside. I leave the box there. When I get back my roomy is pacing around the house saying "WHO GOT THE NEXUS?! LET ME SEEEE IT!" lol.
Agree with all the above. This is my 7th Android device and easily the best I've ever used. No issues whatsoever. Forgot this was an LG device. I swore never to buy another product from them after the G2X and here I am...
As far as compliments go, what I've been hearing is "Gorgeous/sexy device!", "The back is so cool" and last but not least, "I'm still trying to figure out how the hell you got one when they sold out so quickly" lol

Yeah I am more than happy with mine. Makes the nexus 7 that I am posting this on feel seriously sluggish and coming from an i9100 which was by no means struggling I cannot believe how slick this thing is. I have got the ear piece buzzing problem but it is so quiet I wouldn't call it an issue.

Love my Nexus 4, I've only 'liked' other phones as they've always had a weak spot that has niggled me.
This beast however doesn't have anything that I don't like, and thus I love it.
Also, it's already a whore. I was the only person in the office of geeks (I work for a software development company) that managed to get one due to the wonky launch. Suffice to say it's been passed around and for all I know jizzed on many times! lol
I was out with some friends the other night and I whipped it out and one of the lasses with us commented 'That's a sexy phone, looks like someone gets paid too much!' the same person also said 'It feels so nice to hold' ... 'insert smart remake here'

Depends on what phone you have now. I have both the T-Mo one and the T-Mo note 3. The bigger screen is nice on the G-Flex, but the screen on the Note 3 looks better to my eye. I do like the curved screen which is one reason I am willing to give the G-Flex a try. However the S-Pen is really nice on the Note 3. Only you can decide what you want. Go into a store and try out the GFlex and see what you think.
Ok so here are my first impressions, first thing i am coming from a Note 3 and like Prod said i notice the lower screen quality right away. From the wallpaper to the hideous LG icons does are the first to things i disliked right away. I was spoiled with the Note 3 1080p so i can really tell the difference kind of disappointed on flex screen. I played a 1080p Movie and it was ok not as bad as the icons, wallpaper and pictures on websites. On the other hand i like the phone itself the curve, buttons, size and feel pretty much everything so far. Phone feels snappier than Note 3 also. If only the screen was a 1080p this would be a really good phone. I have just played with it briefly so this are my initial thoughts. PS if you guys are debating on this or the Note 3 and if its going to be your long term phone go with Note 3, Like i said in other treads i change phones every 3 months or so and ill probably just have the flex for 2 months. One more pic Flex and Note 3.
I'm coming from note 2 and my plan was to get this phone, get the 6 months of Netflix, use it for 6 or 7 months and then use jump! To get the note 4,which should absolutely be a freaking beast.
Either that or get the s5 but I don't want the s5 then jump to the note 4. Besides I absolutely LOVE the way that the flex looks.

Yea one thing the flex does have is looks for sure and the curve, if coming from note 2 it shouldn't be that bad of a transition. I have been looking at some more 1080p movies on it and its good not as bad and there's something about the curve that give the movies a different feel I wasn't a believer on this but its true.

Saw it today at att store today, At person greeting at the entrance said the phone was not in yet, lol. but it was, I noticed on the way out as I was checking out the Mega and Note 3. The phone holds great in the hand and the curve looks great. After reading review here about the screen that's the first thing I looked for and noticed it a little. The Icon in the phone look as if stretched a bit. Then in youtube saw a HD 1080 vedio and was not impressed. Apart from that I would be very happy with this phone.
The phone seemed to fit in my front pocket no problem. I just started wearing glasses last year and sometimes I forget and my eyes start to hurt from reading on the phone. since you have both N3 and G Flex does reading a book look better (or even noticeable) on the Note 3 vs g Flex? I would imagine it would look sharper on the N3. thus causing less eye strain for me.
Have you tried installing Nova launcher to see if it gives you a crisper icons.
Enjoy you G Flex and thanks in advance.
Congrats on the new phone. I'm a phone whore like you. I took a look at the Flex today at a AT&T store since T-Mobile didn't have it yet and a snow storm is coming now. lol I liked it but coming from the G2 I'm not sure. I'll have to think about it some more.

Ok if ur coming from G2 i would figure the change would not be so bad since its the same hardware and u are getting way more screen only thing would be the great screen quality on G2. I like the Flex design and battery life but other then that it's just a stretched out G2. I'm just thinking after the newness wears off I might regret leaving the G2. I had the Note 2 and S4 before. I went to the G2 because it was different.

Two words to keep me from Samsung: TouchWiz, Knox
I currently have and S4 I can't wait to get rid of. I got a G2 then TMO announced the Flex release. I returned the G2 because I didn't want to spend a JUMP. I'll be stopping by a store to see if they have it in stock. With better things coming, I think this is a good move to get flex now and see how the new (non Samsung) devices shake out in the next few months (G Pro among others).
Man I can't wait for mine to come in Friday...then its time to start working on root and building aospa!!!
Reason i changed to was that i have been using samsung for a while and wanted a change. I was initially going to change when g2 came out but non sd made me go to N3, but i figured i was not using much memory so went to flex for something new.

Not sure if its AT&T network or my phone. But as of recently, when I turn on GPS, it can't find me. It'll get a general area (within 1 mile), but nothing compared to what it used to do (within 30 feet).
I haven't experienced those issues, but I'll use my Nexus 5 today when I travel to be safe.

Lol. I love when people say that. The note has better internals. Yet it lags and the g flex is faster....haha. I'm on gummy ROM and its ridiculous fast and makes use of its 3gb of ram. Not to mention did I say the screen sucks? I guess if your stuck in 2007 when 720p was hot maybe u could like the flex not me I'm in 2014.

I have the Note III, how do you say it has better internals than the Flex?
They have the same Snapdragon 800, they are both Quad cores, they both have the Adreno 330 graphics processor. The ONLY difference is the RAM, oh yeah the Flex has a 3500 mAh battery and the Note III has 3200 mAh battery. So how does the Note III have better internals again?
I'm not sticking up for the Flex here at all (I love my Note III) but it really can come down to the way Samsung and LG skin Android differently.

720p isnt the issue for the bad screen its the P-oled screen why do folks think its the 720p resolution?

i just dumped my note 3 for a gflex, couldn't be happier.
one tenth the bloat, and the stock ui is pretty decent until roms are available.
fanboys will always talk this and that about the screen... but have you seen it in person? how does the screen look to YOUR eyes?
for me, color is more important than xxx ppi or whatnot. love me oled.

Let me preface this. I wanted the gflex very badly and went to the T-Mobile store to see it. I am not a fan boy. I compared to my note extensively and the gflex failed on every level except its form factor was amazing. Loved the look and curve. I didn't notice it to be any more snappy then my note and the screen was the biggest disappointment side by side. If I wasn't looking at my note and then looking at the flex I can maybe see how people could say the screen looks nice...after you get past the horrible grainy screen when the brightness isn't turned up. Also its the combination of p oled and 720p that makes it so bad. The gflex 2 will be a lot better and will consider that next year once the technology is where it should be.

you know, it was a tough call for me. In the end it comes down to personal preference and more importantly how you use the phone. As others have pointed out, the p-oled display reminds one of the GNex for those of us that used that phone. It's got some grain on low brightness settings and technically the Note III (and many other LCD displays like those in the One and G2) are superior. What I did was use the phones together for a week and at the end of that time period I ended up keeping the Flex. I've had the Note 3 since November and have enjoyed the phone very much for a while now but I found in that week where I had them together I had a slight preference for the Flex. I especially enjoy watching vid on the Flex as I don't use it in this context with low brightness settings. Turned up I find the screen is quite nice and the shape makes the experience for immersive for me. Sorry to sound like an advertising wag but this has indeed been my experience. YMMV. I like the Flex for making calls to. I actually still make a fair number of these and the Flex is more comfortable for me here than the N3. So these are my experiences but honestly you can't go wrong with either. Good luck with your decision.

the difference in the screen aren't enough for me to care, color/vividness matters more to me.
I was given a FREE z1s, and haven't touched it because of the terrible screen. seriously, its THAT bad.
for me, the flex is everything i need. the note was a bag of tricks that i hated.
I just picked up my flex last night and all I can say is WOW!!!
Not sure why anyone would complain about the screen on this phone; the screen is GORGEOUS, fast as snot, and would be a GREAT addition to your phone inventory..Who sits there and analyzes there screen all day anyways? This is a cell phone, not a 4k television.
Not sure if there is much reason to dump a note 3 for it, but, if you are torn between the 2, and don't care about S-pen stuff, the Flex would be a fantastic alternative..

You probably never owned the G flex. It's a fantastic device with insane battery life and speed. Yes the display isn't the best but it's still decent. Both the note 3 and flex are great, it's just that the flex offers something different vs the note that has same old touchwiz.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
yep, they are both great devices; if you need a major productivity tool, the note 3 is probably a better choice; if you want a multimedia, fun, unique phone, the Flex deserves a serious look..
After 5 samsung phones in a row, I had a HTC one max which was very nice, but this thing blows that away, especially with tmobile service versus Sprint..
Okay, the display of the Flex is a mixed bag. Before I go any further, I have to admit I'm a fan of the Flex. Not a fan of Touch Wiz or Sammy Radios
What sucks about the Flex's display are the artifacts and ghosting. Its that simple. What is great is the color and 720. 720 you ask, well this is the best 720 android display you will find. After using the note 3 for sometime, then going to the Flex, you notice whites are whiter on the LG. That's something that's more important than splotchyness you might find. At least for me.

Just Give the LG G Flex A Chance Peeps

I'm kind of surprised with some of the negative G Flex reviews and how some people don't even give the phone a chance. Is Samsung paying them? lol The curved design is not a gimmick. It's pretty damn impressive. IMO The phone just feels right in my hands/face and fits better in my pocket. I was impressed with how LG fit a 3000mAh battery in the compact size of the G2 which is what I had before the Flex. Now after using the Flex for a week LG has impressed me even more with battery life. I know the Flex has a bigger battery by 500mAh compared to the G2 but seems to last twice as long as the G2. Why is that? Probably because of the 720p display right? If so I might be the only one but I think LG was smart doing that. I got annoyed at times having to charge my G2 during the day. I just charge my Flex when I sleep. I think the 720p display is sharp and I have no ghosting. As you can tell I'm very happy with the Flex even coming from a G2.
I ignored all the bad reviews concerning the screen display and I'm happy with my flex coming from a N3... Battery life is superior and I'm only on my 2nd week with this phone.

I must of got lucky. I got mine in Columbus Ohio at a tmobile store and no ghosting issue for me. I do have a grainy appearance to the screen. But turn brightness up and your good if it bothers you. I doesn't for me. I tell you this coming from the note 2 to gs4 the screen was the difference maker for me. But took the hit in battery life never again not worth it if you ask me. I rather have a good to mediocre screen. ( which the flex doesn't have a crappy screen at all just a different technology). And just because everybody's using one type of screen doesn't make it a better just differently.
I personally got tired of Samsung and touchwiz. So I switch will I have the flex for ever? No I won't I will jump in six to eight months from now and into something else that give excellent battery life with killer specs. I don't regret getting the flex we already know what coming down the pipeline anyways. Oh wait let me guess.... HTC flagship, Samsung flagship, LG flagship, new nexus and also ios. It never changes people the flex got me because it's different and I personally didn't want to have compositive keys or hardware buttons such as home and back. Grow tired on rooted to gain this feature. That left me 4 choices nexus, Sony, and lg g2 or the lg g flex I went with the flex because it was the newest device that they had available and don't regret it. Yeah the note 3 is a nice device but my last 3 phones were all Samsung and like I mentioned before I grow tired and was wanting other features that Samsung couldn't offer. Just my 2 cents.
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
no ghosting for me either, and with the brightness turned up to 60%-70%, completely grainy free..
I had the same issue with the stupid reviewers on my htc one max; that too was a great phone, but, every doosh bag reviewer found something bad to say about it. Fortunately, I have my own brain, and dont give a rats arse what any "reviewer" has to say about any electronic item I buy.
Sprint network still sucks, and because of that, I had to sell my one max, and our 2 htc one's. We all changed to T-Mobile, and are thrilled with the network coverage and speed outside of Chicago now!
4 Samsung phones in a row was enough for me, and especially with the Knox security Krap they are forcing on every one now..Lg phones are really nice, and my wife and son really like their G2's. We'll see whats out there 6 months from now, but if dev picks up for the flex, I doubt I will want to get rid of it for longer than that; the best battery I have ever seen in a phone. Now, if they would just come up with stereo front facing speakers for this beast!!
Crazy I'm in Columbus, Ohio but I got my Flex online from T-Mobile. Maybe if people don't put a magnifying glass over the phone they might enjoy it. LoL. My only issue if you call it a issue is that I want to carry the Flex naked but it's not easy to do plus risky business.

Just come with that custom recovery and I'll be happy when i can see cm11 on this boy other than that the g flex is a really solid phone i put this phone thru more than i did any other phone and i can honestly say the battery in this phone is great a whole shift at work streaming tune in watching movies and still have more than 50% when i get off

I just got the Flex, my reason was the negative reviews. I have a Note 3, while I'm not convinced yet that it's better. I'm open to giving it a chance. I like my stylus. Lol.
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
I've only read one review that gave it a thumbs up. It was a woman who reviewed it after having it for a week or so. She gave it 8/10 and I tip my hat off to her. She has small hands and looked past the size of the phone, and just reviewed it straight up.
I don't like reviewers who say the phone is comically large, and the curve of the device is a novelty. That's an opinion. Although reviews should have your opinion, it shouldn't blind you from fact. What's large for you isn't large for me. What fits in your purse, fits in my pocket. Blah blah blah. Anyway I like the Flex, not for what it is, but I like it because its just a better device than its competitors.

Picked up the flex the other day to replace my Xperia z ultra. Basically same specs slightly smaller. Screen has some issues but the only thing I hate about the phone is 4.2 and the locked boot loader preventing me from getting kitkat. Btw the LG keyboard auto corrected kitkat to diktat. Lol this phone needs to be loved by all its owners ?

I'm happy with the G Flex. I was going to get the nexus 5, but the battery inside of the G Flex was appealing. The only downside I see about this beast of a phone is that there isn't expandable storage and that it's running 4.2. I do notice some of the screen issues, but I can live with it. I can't wait for development for this phone to really start.
KitKat should be coming out soon. Maybe some of the developers are just waiting on that. I love my Flex and that's all that matters to me. LoL

It's a great phone! I miss it sometimes and wish I could carry 2 phones so I could use the N3 as my daily driver and the Flex as my multimedia toy. Can't wait for the Flex 2 to eventually come out with some good upgrades so I can make the switch back.

Goodbye all

Right after only having my lg g flex for 3 days I have to sell it. Just can't be dealing with the graininess of the screen it's just so bad when you come from a phone such as the nexus it's FHD screen to this one. Its such a shame because the phone is utterly amazing.

Haven't got rid of it yet but the screen doesn't burn in like the first one I had did. It is a rev 1.0 as well so it shouldn't have the grain in issue. Is it a Rom issue or is twit the LCD cause if it's the Rom then I will need to flash something else

I have read some say it can be fixed somewhat with firmware but I believe it is mostly screen hardware issue.
so where or what phone elements are grainy? had my phone for months and cant tell
i am about to say bye to the flex also. the day the nexus x drops, im paying off my phone and buying it. oh how i miss vanilla android and cyanogenmod...... it has nothing to do with the phone, the phone is perfect, but, developement is really slow due to locked down bootloaders,. but whatever. im just about over it. this phone would have been very very awesome with a working cm rom. so if i also dont get the chance to say it, bye flex world.
Said goodbye to my g flex last night. Traded it to a coworker for the Nexus 5.
Went from a phone with barely any development to a great Dev phone. Although I did really like the G flex. The not being able to flash ROMs like a madman was killing it. So good luck to the community here and thanks to the devs that did work and attempt.

How do you cope with the significant drop in battery life doesn't that bother you a little bit? You have basically gone from best to worst in that regard =)
I've had a Nexus 5 a while ago. It's an awesome device because of the development. But I have other priorities today like battery life which I hold higher than anything else after a few years with Andriod.

Haven't had it but 24 hours lol. Battery life isn't that big a deal for me. I'm happy with the Nexus so far. Also it works better for me being able to keep it in my pocket at work and not feel like I'm going to snap it, working in machinery all night.
Having Android L, multirom, newest P.A and any other ROM also make it a much better choice. Looking into getting an extended battery for it also.

Took mine back 3 days after buying it. Coming from a lg g2 the screen clairity was something i couldn't deal with. When i was setting up the phone the games i redownloaded mostly gameloft games looked like sh÷t and the camera was not as good as the lg g2. Took that phone back and got a note 3 love it. Hopefully lg get the next version right because this phone could have been great. To be a big phone it feels perfect in the hands compared to the note 3. Enjoy the nexus 5 its a good phone.
