I think that you can flash that Globe version too (just pay attention is it P or not (firmware and your phone), it is just difference in bloatware from that provider.
Try looking on samsung-updates.com too.

its i9070 only. i found some fw in officialrom.com i think and it has same build version from live.samsung-updates.com.
the problem with my phone is that i was running twrp and a custom rom tried installing carbon over it. it was a success but then i dont like much the carbon custom rom so i tried to reflash it thru recovery. boot to recovery using quickboot(phone got a busted volume keys) i found out that twrp was replace with cwm so i wipe data/cache/factory and flash it with cocore+twrp then reboot system and it got stock in boot logo. but i can go to download mode volume down+home+power. only problem is volume up isnt working lol. so i order volume keys waiting for it to arrive so that i could install it and try to fix my phone. i still dont know yet if i could go to recovery mode.
thanks =)

You should do reboot recovery option in TWRP. But still you can't go back from CM10.2 and CM11 to stock without repartitioning /preload partition. You will get bootloop too... You must flash stock firmware or use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612540

You was not planning, but you must repartition that preload partition. With that script or with flashing stock firmware.
P.S. If you mean ROM Pure Vanilla - it is based on stock ROM. It is themed stock ROM.

Stock rom code / Brick note?

Hi there,
Is 't me or do you need a code to extract the stockroms from development?
I downloaded a few, and I needed a code to extract them.
Another question is if you can go in download mode, and you can only go in recovery mode when you flash one. Is my note fully Bricked? It freezes when I flash a rom.
Thanks
Explain in detail
What code to extract the stock roms and from what development ?
AFAIK,there are no stock ROMS in the Note development forum
Explain what you did in detail-which ROM you flashed, which guide you followed-things like that.

What does the above statement mean ?
All I understand is you can go in download mode and you can only go in recovery mode when you flash one(one meaning a ROM I presume)
That's not true, you can access the stock Android recovery through a stock ROM

There is a thread called [STOCK ROMS] N7000 All stock ROMs + install + Root guide All at 1place,Latest ICS LQ3 in
Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Android Development
I downloaded a older version 2.3.5 netherlands. Is in zip. Now I want to extract with winrar and I need a code.

I have downgraded from rooted criskelo ICS v06 to stock rom KK1) based on dr.ketan's instruction, but the problem with the stock GB Rom is that all my accounts could not log in. Do you guys have any ideas on how to solve this?I've done full wipe on the phone.
Try wiping once more and wipe dalvik cache too.
If it doesn't work, try flashing stock rom again and repeat.
Alternatively, try flashing another stock rom.I use the KL3 stock rom to downgrade and it's never given me any problems

You don't have CWM recovery installed on your phone ?
Then didn't you root the stock GB ROM you downgraded to ?

no, I didn't installed CWM because I am thinking of keeping it stock original until a stabil ICS ROM is issued. will this be an issue?
** i tried rooting and installing CWM but to no avail, the error said dev/block/...0p5: permission denied. how can I give this permission? I screwed up during the downgrading process..

the download is full on my computer 881MB

any clues?
are you still able to boot in download mode? if you are still able to... in my rule of law in flashing ROMS.... custom or otherwise...downgrade first to stock GB, then once your in stock GB, that'll be the time you wipe data/factory reset, and then upgrade to Alba syndicate.

For the moment, you don't need a root ROM, all you need is that your GNote can boot into download mode (hold vol- and power and home button [the button in the middle] for about 8 sec until the Samsung Galaxy Note logo shows up, then you could release the button)
You can download a stock GB from http://samfirmware.com/
I recommend a wipe version.
Then flash it using Odin PC (no increase of the binary counter because it's a stock ROM),
And then you can root it using any method you want (for gingerbread). Now you can flash any ROM you want by following OP's instructions

You can try pre-rooted stock GB. Try searching for Doc Ketan's thread on this forum. He has those links + the instructions on how to downgrade it.

I don't know about rom manager as I don't really use it. Probably because it was the last known recovery..

Thanks for quick reply. It looks that it is there (in fact, I never seen stock recovery before, but now it looks different like cwm), but I can access it only via RomManger... Is there other way how to boot in stock recovery? I can boot in download mode (menu + volume down + power), but in this mode i can't do anything ... :/
edit:
I found [GUIDE] How to reboot in recovery, so maybe it is not only my problem

Good. Yeah, its different, and rommanager isn't compatible with stock recovery. You won't be able to flash anything but samsung-signed updates.
Not able to boot to recovery is well known. Good you found out. Have a look here..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2157105 for an easy way to enable three button combination :good:

Hehe, if I set reboot to recovery in RomManger after updating from cwm back to stock recovery, it reboot me in to Stock recovery
Btw, will flashing that 2MB file from "[HOW-TO] Enable Three Button Combo [RECOVERY]" increase binary counter? I know about TriangleAway, but for sure...
And one more question please. My story...
- I flashed pre-rooted 4.1.1 fw via odin
- than i installed RomManger and via it I install CWM
- than become 4.1.2 fw so I flashed this pre-rooted fw via odin - everything was good, phones restart after flash but boot in CWM??? Everything works good, but I was thinking, that with new fw the CWM will gone?!?
Trying to understand how android works (this is my first android phone, before that i had only symbian devices), i read many topic about s iii mini and it looks, that this phone in "unusual" android phone

Yeah, it will let you reboot to recovery but that's all. No flashing, no backups or anything. Kinda sad to install an app just to reboot :silly:
You probably have to use triangle away after that file even though the files are taken out of service-firmware, but it only takes a minute.
These firmwares doesn't normally include recovery..don't know why. Thats what I'm used to from other models, but not for this one.

Thank you very much for your answer but i've got another problem that appears is that i cannot open recovery mode i tried. to give you a specific screen of the problem from the moment that i uninstall cyanogenmod10 and tried to install original firmware that i download it from sammobile.com then the problem appeared. when i am swiching on the phone it loads vodaphone screen and just repating vibrating phone doesn't do anything else.
Recovery combination is vol down+vol up+home+power. Hold until samsung logo

Galaxy note N7000 bricked?

Hi guys,
I am just wondering what happened to my Galaxy note N7000, long story short. When you try to power on the phone it goes to it's welcome screen which is the "samsung galaxy n7000" screen however it doesn't go to the samsung logo which is supposed to. It just turns black as if it was turned off.
I can go to recovery. Tried, wipe cache partition and factory reset to no luck.
I would really appreciate if someone guide through it.
Did you try to flash a stock rom using odin? What is the recovery you have? If it's cwm then did you try to flash a custom rom?

thanks for the quick reply. Actually no. I was playing with the app, "pimp my rom" then it required me to reboot the phone, so I did. The problem started. Now as for the recovery. it looks like it's PhilZ Touch 5. CWM base version: 6.0.3.3
It seems like you have a messed up system partition. What rom were you on?

I guess you are right about that.. Sorry I would really love to provide you what specific ROM I was in but I really can't check it now. I remember that I am on 4.1.2 JB though (if that would help), is there a way that we can install a new rom instead?
I would like to ask as well if this is considered as bricked?
If you have a stock rom download already, then boot into recovery, choose clean before new rom install, reboot download, connect to odin and flash the new rom.
If you want to go for a custom rom, then download that. Connect phone to pc in recovery, choose mount usb storage, place the rom zip file in to phone storage, choose clean before new rom install, then install zip.
