Thoughts on Roms ?? - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any Rom for this phone that is stable and fast and doesnt drain 5% battery every 2 mins ?
i really searched and tried everything but i can seem to find any rom thats good enough
MIUI is fast and smooth but battery is ok and illumination bar doesnt work that great
AOSP Fast but battery drains 20% every 2 mins and it charges in about 8 hours
ExistenZ Battery life is good but the rom is soo laggy and not so much ram available
CM 11 Full of bugs and bootloops and touch problems
Seriously what can i do for this phone

Liquid Speed 3.0 charge in 4h , free ram is 520mb after restart , very fast and batery drain is normal .
I recomend LS3.0 for You . I use This rom and not have problem . also use nayakkernel 0.3 .
But If you love bravia engin and fast charge and black theme install ExistenZ Black v1.0.5 that is good but only ram managment and free ram is bad and little lagy .

Those problems where I believe at fxp305, something with the kernel. If you use fxp306 no problems, atleast not with my phone.

i suggest Miui, works great on 4.2.2, and no battery drain here, media too doesnt drain battery a lot.

Strange, If I read the freexperia (CM11) project of SP here on xda (development section) the only problem I come across is sleep of death (one user) the rest of the problems are related to fxp305 and the touchscreen. And one user is complaining about low touch sense, antutu bugged and art isnt working. Low touch, touch is fine with me, antutu I really dont care about benchmarks and ART havent used it yet. It is my daily rom .

SE Xperia X8 Gingerbread ROM

Alright , I'm tired of looking , but I can't find a thread , answering my question. Sorry if this is a repost.
Which is the most stable Gingerbread ROM for my SE Xperia X8 E15i ?
I want a very stable and fast version. (Most Important For Me)
I will use only the Stock Kernel.
It should be virtually bugless.
I would prefer a less battery-drain ROM.
Please provide an exact name for the ROM. Download Links will be appreciated.
Thanks

I still prefer GingerDX. It will work nicer if you can use Alfs kernel
for me gingerxperia is best of all on stock kernel.
gingerdx is very very laggy.
I'm using GingerXperiaRay + nAa kernel, but i don't think it works with stock kernel.
With the alfs kernel i was able to OC more than with the nAa kernel..
But tell me please, why won't you switch kernel?

just leave the bootloader alone..In my case, I'd hardbricked my w8 3times..
success only once..then when I tried to do it again my phone died man..
can't get into flash mode anymore...
sent to vendor (lucky they didn't know what I'd done)
then tried to unlocking boot loader again, and died again
(only 30miniutes the phone on my hand after take from SE)
and brick again (after 1hour took from SE)
lucky they can't detected what I've done..
on my 2nd bricked my w8 running e15i rom
heheheeee...now waiting my phone comeback!!
and I swear I won't to play with bootloader on w8 anymore
b'coz lucky on 1st time only, maybe when i sent to repair they make the security hole or whatever....

1. Flash back stock kernel using "Repair" option in SEUS or by using Flashtool
2. Download S1Tool from this post: S1Tool
3. Turn off your phone.
4. Launch s1tool.exe in the folder you extracted s1tool to.
5. Click on Restore button and then connect your phone to the PC in flash mode (press and hold back button while connecting your phone to the PC).
6. Wait for the process to complete. Congratulations! You now have relocked your bootloader!
7. To check, open s1tool.exe, click IDENTIFY button, turn off your phone, connect it in flash mode to the PC (press and hold back button while connecting your phone to the PC. The LED on your phone should flash green).
8. Continue holding back button until there is some output.
GingerXperia
GingerXperia works very nice with stock.kernel
Battery Drain
GingerDx V021 With Stock Kernel is giving me a lot of battery drain , even after battery calibrations. Wifi/3G are off ,background data and sync both are off... Display light is minimum. No background tasks running.
The battery reduces by 1% every 38seconds
No relief after reboot
Switching back to Froyopro V1.1

Heavy Battery draining Problem

guys i didnt used any other jb rom than hellybean
I was on v4 and it was perfect the battery life was awesome and thein I updated to nightly 13/08 and then first I experienced random reboots after every 2-3 minutes of cellphone going to sleep
I did full wipe and installed the rom but still the same problem and the battery was draining very fastly (2-3 % drops in every 5-10 minutes)
Went back to original GB and then again Installed CM 10 alpha and then full wipe and then hellybean but still random reboots and battery draining
went back to GB again and then installed AOKP and then full wipe and then hellybean 17/08 This time there were no random reboots eexcept when I play 720p videos BUt the BATTERY DRAIN IS STILL same 100 % finishes in 3-4 hours (i m not lying)
Any solution

well..I have to say that I had the same problem..
1-st download from market GetRil to see if you have baseband compatibility it may be an issue there. If so fix it, is really easy.
If problem is not solved. I guarantee that changing kernel will do the job. I recommend siyah.
Follow these steps ;
1- install busybox data on your device !
2- go to CWM and wipe cauch ,delvik and battery .
3- reboot your device .

KitKat is not actually stable yet. But developers are working really hard to make it stable. I know KitKat lags but don't forget that our device was not meant to get a KitKat update due to its low hardware. Installing performance scripts can reduce your lag to a certain extent. @Venomous Viper 119 has provided us with a great guide on how to improve battery life & performance of ace. Here is the link,
Improve battery life & performance of Ace
Hope I Helped
Thanks for you reply, yeah its great that all the developers are working hard and i am very thankful for them. Now i m using Governor SMARTASSV2 , its working good. Even battery is running well in SMARTASSV2.

Don't use internal memory extender scripts and it'll improve your battery life and preformance due to the decrease in r/w cycle.
:good: using smartassv2 is a good choice, try sio governor and drecease a bit the frequency, it help also you to save battery

My favorite is the version of 27.04.2014 (cm-11-20140427-NIGHTLY-cooper-PS).
It runs without problems with me.
You know then also still the software of ViperTheRipper_CM11_NIGHTLY_20140427_Androidarmv6
download and over CWM install. Some really brings at speed.
Afterwards CronMod-Int2EXT+ install and you have a very stable system.:good:
All other versions RC5 /RC6 always made problem with Google Play.
Much success

[ROM] Stock rom kitkat 4.4.2 for T211

Hello, I bring to us a new version of android 4.4.2 kitkat for T211 (it don't work T210, T110, T111). I admited this is beatiful and fast, have low consuption of mb ram and cpu. The gpu get more performance, I don't know why the bad performance on quadrant (on kiktkat I get 3500, on jelly bean I get 4100) but on antutu I get 14.5k on jelly bean I get around 11~12.5k . Sometimes systemui get a strong lag, and the samsung didn't addict support of tecnology ART and the new engine opengl ES 3.0 don't actived, consuption of battery is strong, this problem occur on galaxy S4 too. So I give the tutorial:
Download the odin and stock firmware here.
I don't resposibilize errors or damages cause on your device

Extract the files
Open the odin
Select pda, and choose file you downloaded home t211etc...

Second , when you say "battery consumption is strong" how strong it is , compared to stock 4.1.2 ??? have you enabled powersaving mode?
third, is the lag bearable?

I test two benchmarks on engine 3d, nenamark 1 and 2
nenamark 1 test opengl ES 1.1: Jelly bean I get 60 fps. Kitkat 47 fps
Nenarmark 2 test opengl ES 2.0 : JB 51.9 fps . Kk 60.1 fps.
Quadrant: JB 4100 . KK 3600 .
If your battery drain fast, you should download app battery calibration (delete battery stats) .
My battery now it's work perfectly.
Dead trigger effect of water when rain, appear perfectly on KK.
The only problems is systemui, because somitimes on home I get slowdown. This problem occur on S4 4.4.2 .

for this drop, try to calibrate your battery and try a clean install maybe as well.
But battery life in cyanogenmod is really bad. even with no drops, you get about 3 hours screen one time while on stock rom 5 hours...

hm... i used this kernel all the time on cm11: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/orig-development/cm-x-honami-v1-t2951201 it has dt2w implemented, thats a cool feature also, had no battery drain but battery life for me was not as good as stock sony, no matter which kernel....
for me the best battery life had the FXP builds cause of their kernel... maybe try that or just flash the kernel from the fxp builds
or maybe try cm12 nightlies, they are almost usable:9 with calling camera and so on, just have a look at my thread for cm12: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/rom-official-cyanogenmod-12-nightlies-t3007118
i will try the kernel you suggest now ( [CM] X-Honami v1 ) on the latest cm11 build 20150111
i hope it will work fine with no random reboots or video playback problems
also tested fxp kernel from last build but the same drain too ( i think it is the same as cm kernel )
i tested cm12 already nightly official but slow charging problem (5 hours from 0 to 100 without touching the phone ) and no xposed also system ui restart after boot
also i want to ask you about your settings on fauxsound app to fix the low mic problem
thanks again for your fast reply

I got a C6903.
My installation method almost as described in the wiki
Get CM11 M12 from their website
Unlock bootloader
Flash kernel (including recovery)
Full wipe (additionally i freshly formatted /data and /system including my external sdcard)
Installed ROM
I might not be the ideal reference though, since I run without gapps. No idea how much battery they eat.
Maybe try betterbatterystats (also for free here)
I do have a problem where it tells me the AndroidOS is using a lot of CPU time, but that is just a statistics error, it does not actually drain battery. (weird)
Having almost 4h SOT when using it for 2 days, with listening to music a lot. It was the same for me with the stock rom.
