[Q] Is there a Way to Disable Pie and the Navigation Bar? [BeanStalk;Slimkat] - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way that i can disable the navigation bar without beeing forced to activate the Pie Controls? I used Slimkat, Beanstalk and LiquidSMooth. None of this Roms allowed me to do that. I already tried Apps like "Auto hide soft keys". Although editing the build.prop doesnt disable the softkeys. Any one can help?

I have the same question, but for my Note 2. The phone has hardware keys, so it's annoying that the ROM disallows disabling both nav options.

You can install xposed and gravity box to resize the nav bar to zero, also in liquid smooth there is an option in the setting to do this without gravitybox. Settings/navigation/dimensions/navigation bar height set to zero dpi. This however is no good to me as i want a toggle for nav bar to be on or off and this solution will not work for that only to hide it and then to go back into settings to enable it again.

[Q] Remove navigation bar in Paranoid Android 3.15

It seems there's a nonav fix that can be installed via CWM somewhere, but I wasn't able t locate the file.
Edit: Right then, never mind.
It's settings => hybrid properties => swipe right => interface => set bav. bar to 0%.

Yeah, but if ur in tablet mode, you cant change the nav bar size
I developed an app that can do this in stock rom and I just added Paranoid Android support. Would be nice if someone could try it and confirm that it works or report bugs: GMD Hide Soft Keys.
Benefits for PA:
1) you can turn on Notification with switch control to hide/show navigation bar from anywhere.
2) Quick NavBar can be displayed with swipe from bottom (similar way to Pie)
3) Quick NavBar has button to toggle Extended Mode (full screen).
More features coming :fingers-crossed:.

There is no navigation bar in the tablet mode, those are just the navigation keys in the Tablet mode on the common status cum navigation bar, the tablet mode makes your phone into a tablet and as tablets don't have a capacitive back key like the phone, tablet interfaces will have those keys and you can't get them away unless there is some MOD for it which you can search in themes and apps forum.

[Q] Question about GravityBox[LP]

Disclaimer: I'm super noob with Xposed and GravityBox.
I'm running OxygenOS and I played with a bunch of tweaks in GravityBox, they all work just fine. But, with pie controls, I'm not quite sure about a thing here. I enabled it by tapping 'Always' in the option, that was supposed to enable the pie controls if I'm not wrong, but that didn't. Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong here?

You are in the wrong section. We have a support thread for GravityBox [LP] and it's here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-gravitybox-v5-0-0alpha-tweak-box-t3037566
Anyway, check pie trigger position settings. Note, that if your device has navigation bar, pie won't work with bottom trigger set. Either use different screen edge or take advantage of expanded desktop to hide navigation bar and automatically enable pie when expanded desktop is turned on.

Enable navigation bar and disable capacitive buttons?

Can this be done with a rooted image or an app? Any ideas?
I should add that I did try GravityBox, but enabling the navigation bar there did not actually enable it.

Definitely could be done in a custom image.
You can turn off the cap keys from doing things by commenting out lines in /system/usr/keylayout if I recall from my XT912 ROM, then in /system/framework/framework-res.apk there was a values.XML where you could turn off their backlight(s) as well. In the same framework there was a books.XML that you could change a navigation bar to enabled.
This was how it was done on the XT912 on Jellybean so this was a while ago and obviously things could be different. I would have tried on my Mofo Turbo but testing via making new images on a Windows 10 computer is just insane. (VirtualBox issues...yuck).

Force app to full screen

Greetings,
does anyone have an idea how to set/force an app to go full screen?
Thanks
I don't have the phone yet and was gonna ask a similar question. I didn't know if Razer had implemented any software tweaks to hide the nav bar, I guess they don't? Having a 5.7in screen and no way to hide the nav bar kinda sucks.

Hey try this app, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.immersive, I used this on the essential phone and it worked pretty well. There's also other ones on the store.
Yes there is a way to hide the Nav bar via Fluid N.G.
It's in the app store
No need for root, but with root the process is easier.
With root all you do is accept the permission to hide nav bar on all apps.
Without root you will need ADB on your PC and you have to run some simple commands that are in the app.
If you need more help let me know.
Here's some sample screenshots of the GMD Immersive App you can download at the play store. I have the paid pro version of it. When I first installed it, it didn't operate correctly, after a reboot it has been working fine now. You can find the app here: (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.immersive)
Anyways this let's you either hide the nav bar by itself or hide the nav bar/notification bar so u can have a completely full screen when surfing the web or in your favorite apps. It's takes some getting use to but works fairly well. My phone is completely stock, no root required.

Anybody knows how to enable the navigation bar with latest Android 9?

Hi,
I'm searching how to enable the navigation bar (3-Buttons at the bottom of the screen) on this phone. I'm missing "double tab to switch between latest apps" so much...
I already tried adb overscan command, does not work. Any other solutions?
Seems like UI doesn't allow on P.
I miss it too so what I've done is downloaded my preferred launcher.
I've tried a few but none seem to be doing the trick. You can also try downloading a 3 button navigation app but I really hate ads and it's almost impossible to find one without them.
Lastly, I'd highly recommend XDA's very own Navigation Gestures (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/official-xda-navigation-gestures-iphone-t3792361). You can edit it to see what works for you.
