go to play store and search for no lock app, then install , this will also disable your pin lock or pattern lock
(if you are using stock rom, then you cannot remove the ring untill you change your rom )
the best way is use a different lock app like go locker.

Agile Lock

I was trying Agile Lock i find it good but know i am having doble slider lockscreens, i have to slide (the orginal lockscreen) and then it shows agile lock, how do i remove the orginal slide lock screen?
i have Exchange server installed
It wont if you dont set any lock pattern or code.
Disable any lock pattern in settings then open agile lock from app drawer, click 'stop' then 'start'
Everything should be fine then.

i have exchange account which prevents me from disabling the lock pattern
In Agile Lock settings you can find Double Lock Issue. Try uncheck Use system security lock, then go to Fix double lock issue. 3-rd string check helped to me.

I think you should be carry out set S-OFF and rooted your phone, and if you install Rom with sense 3.0 or more, you can ignore Agile lock...Good luck!
Speaking of Agile lock. I am unable to receive incoming calls when on lock screen, I have to unlock, go to notifications and later select call to receive it..
ANy bug or am I the only one facing it
That sometimes happens to me... no clue why it does/doesnt
Does it make me a fanatic to point out that the OP having 1081 posts asks this in a new thread ?
ah no.. it just makes you stupid.
and maybe you didn't realize that message posts/counts increments. if you search your first post ever.. it will still say your current post count...
and.. why am i answering such a stupid remark from a stupid user? oh well i guess i have useless time to kill.

Disable Lock Screen

Is there a way to disable the lock screen permanately and use a lockscreen app?
...another thought?
"On certain devices that use their own customized user interface such as HTC Sense, Samsung TouchWiz etc., the stock Android lock screen is usually present but overridden by the version provided by the manufacturer." ...any way to turn of the touch wiz screen lock and use the stock android lock screen?
Flash a custom ROM...most ROMs allow you to change the lock screen to other ones that are baked into/preloaded on the ROM itself.

most lock screen applications like widget locker have a built in option to disable your default lock screen
No Lock from market.

No Lock
No go with no lock. I tried it, but still the glass slide is there after I unlock with the app.

Try widget locker it has a setting to disable the stock lockscreen. Also cm7 has this option in settings>cyanogenmod settings> tablet tweaks>disable lockscreen.
If anyone still needs an app for this. I just grabbed 'No Lock Screen' from the Market, and it works like a dream, no problems/issues.

Uhm let me see if I got this right:
For example you set face unlock, when you try to unlock the phone, the phone asks you for face unlock instead of the default unlock?
If that's the case, then yes. It's supposed to work that way.

u now using x z and it happens to u?
yeah i set for example face-lock mode, then the default disabled! and then i cannot return to default mode cause disabled by credentials and
i should factory reset it.
that default lock mode is not important but i thought it might be a problem or mistake by me!
Got it!
it s about Credentials that disabled swipe mode (default)
I removed credentials and then swipe became enable.
as in if you "clear credentials" at the bottom of that menu the default swipe unlock will return? does face unlock remain too?

it s about the level of security (in my experience)
if u choose high level for example pattern then the low level security will disable.
after i cleared all credentials all kind of lock screen return but for example my vpn connections losts
after that when i set pattern again and create vpn connections now i don have swipe again.
it seems logical rather than a bug.

[Q] Slide before unlock?

Firstly, this is on the STOCK Rom or sony based roms in general,
Is there any way to have the "Slide" method and then your pattern/pin/password? Eg: Slide down the screen as if you had the slide option chosen and then enter your pin as if you had the pin option.
nope, not for stock.
you can try setting your pin or pattern or whatever, then use widget locker.

Alternate lock screens - swipe to unlock twice?

So I'm trying to use alternative lock screens like Picturesque and Next Lock Screen on my Nexus 6 running Chroma ROM.
This doesn't seem to be ROM specific.
I have a PIN, and I use Smart Lock with a pebble and locations for work and home.
On both lock screen apps, when I swipe to unlock I am presented with another lock screen, the stock lock screen, so I have to swipe a second time.
So Next lock screen - I swipe down to unlock, then I'm presented with another lock screen with notifications on it, where I have to swipe up to unlock (stock lock screen).
This is likely user error, but I can't figure it out how to only use 1 lock screen. Thanks for the help!
In android settings > security don't you just need to set the lock screen to none?

I guess without doing that only the 3rd party lock screen will be visible. Tried with go locker. Never had this duplicate luck screen issue. Though I used to have such issues with my galaxy s3 sometimes with a specific lock screen app.

That would work, but then I would lose all security on my phone (no pin unlock as a result of setting no lock screen).
This happened on other ROM's so I don't think it's specific to Chroma, but nobody else seems to be having this issue..?

Maybe you need a custom rom. Some have the option to turn swipe off when a PIN / Pattern is applied. At least on KK they did.
IMHO< The stock lock screen is too good to pass up so maybe not many people have tried. Or maybe some lockscreen apps seek to use root to turn off stock swipe (again they used to try)
I guess I'm going to hope this issue is fixed with 5.1.
