Any build.prop from any user can brick your phone...Why do you need it?

well thats why I asked for the original build.prop.
I was actually editing my build prop, n only later did I realize I had not made a backup of my original. my phone is not bricked, its working fine, its just that I need to have the original or the most stock build.prop I can get, for comparisons sake also.

I will give you mine .266 later on because I have some work now and I don't have access to my phone...If you replace yours with mine you will brick your device...Just you know

How to change the battery in the status bar?

I was wondering if theres any way I code enter a code or something to change how the battery in the status bar looks like for MLIGN's 2.5.7? Someone please respond!
theres no code you need to edit the image files in the framework-res.apk

Well its to change the battery status for MLIGN's 2.5.7 cus I prefer the stock battery instead of the one included in that ROM, so you still want me to send the file?

ok, just the stock battery from a hero rom, will be back with it. i assume with hero roms you can still just flash a single .apk and it not mess the whole thing up, i really don't need to upload a hero rom.

Ohh so try and flash the frame-work res apk.? Sorry Im a bit of noob when it comes to stuff like this
i don't use hero, and therefore have no way of testing it (really don't feel like going through the hassle of setting it back up on my phone) but i imagine you can just flash a single .apk file and it will work. the file i am going to upload, you should just be able to flash it, since all it will be is the framework-res.apk file along with the necessary files to make an update.zip flash.

[solved] (Request) default Back up and Restore apk on stock O2

Hi,
Does anyone have the apk for the stock back up and restore app that is on the Xperia T. I had the O2 Bond edition so not sure if that makes any difference. I put my backup through that and flashed a generic rom thinking that app would still be there. Beginners mistake I know, would be really grateful if anyone can help me out.
Not sure if you need all these but they all go in
/system/app
set perm to
[*][*][-]
[*][-][-]
[*][-][-]
Thanks for that, was looking through the phone and seen it was still there. Feel pretty stupid at the minute.

[req]flashing build.prop

can anyone make me a flashable zip containing the build.prop i attached?
i somehow messed up a bit while trying to apply some mod that required a build.prop editing and i ended up making a backup which contains the edited build.prop file and now facing bootloops
my device is a stock deodexed rooted Xperia V .140
can anyone please help? im a total noob at doing this stuff, so technical languages might not work with me..
or can someone please make me the zip? because i am totally blind at how to make flashable zips

You have 2 options mate:
1)Flash ftf file
2)Since you are able to enter in cwm, download a deoxeded and prerooted rom (or a custom one) for your device, transfer it on your phone and flash it. (you will have to wipe personal data, cache, dalvik cache)

[Q] Do Build.prop Tweaks Work ?

hey everyone, I wanted to ask if these http://www.s3forums.com/forum/galaxy-s3-hacking-mods/474-list-some-build-prop-tweaks.html build.prop tweaks actually work on our phones? Please reply if you've tried them and noticed something different or not.

sad to hear that will trying them brick my phone though ?
No, they don't break your phone
Some of them can work, some not.
Make a backup of build.prop file before modifications and if something goes wrong just restore the file
sent from my s3 mini

I wouldn't risk that... Possibly bricking your phone for free storage? Good luck.

Bricking phone just DD the partitions back or kdz. Shouldn't cause an issue just for changing the carrier in the build prop. Been done for different promotions in the past

I once soft bricked a Galaxy S 4 because I changed the build.prop. it's your phone, but I personally wouldn't risk it.

Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but I thought it would be inappropriate to make a duplicate thread.
I forgot to back up my build.prop before
doing some edits like an idiot and was curious if someone has an unmodified zv6 build.prop that they would be willing to upload. I ask for a zv6 because updates almost always make build.prop edits.
Thanks!
ZV6 STOCK build.prop extracted directly from the ZV6 system image (systemZV6.img)
