[Q] Increase Internal Storage Space - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, On locked BL, running Advance Xperia v1.2 ROM and my internal storage is 5Gb. I keep getting msgs that I only have 1.4Gb free
I dont store music or images and run a cleaner to remove junk n clear cache.
Is there any way to increase the storage space at all?

You could use Folder Mount (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=folder+mount) to store big applications on the external SD card, but this requires root. Non-root method is to filter out what consumes that much space and delete it or decrease the data of it

I would like to change my internal SD into a bigger one. I don't know how to do it though. Is there a way? I want to copy my apps and games on my external but I can't. That's why I wanna change the internal. Apparently it's somewhere deep in the phone. Any help is appreciated.

You could use some ICS rom which supports switching internal & external storages. AFAIK at least the CM9 and AOKP supports it.

I don't think you can/should change the internal sd. You have 13 or 14gb of usable memory on your internal, why can't all your apps fit on there? Have you tried move2SD? Also, a majority of apps don't like to be run from a sd card.

Apps2sd and other sd apps only copy to internal. Because I have a 8gb device my internal is only about 6gb or so. I'm using ICSSGS. Maybe i'll change to some rom that supports external sd apps.
Hi, my advice: you should try Link2SD (on Market)
No more props with storeing more then 200 Apps

or if you want you can always partition your SD Card and use Link2SD.
Another way is to Swap internal with external using scripts
Link2sd only moves apps themselves. But not their data files wich you have to had on sdcard.

[Q] No real external SD slot?

when i try and use an app for apps 2 sd it says this phone docent have a "real" sd card when i have all my music on one and I've put card in it. am i missing something or is something wrong. Im using a rooted XP stock 4.1.2 c5306 any hall is appreciated
"real sd" mean the intern sd. The external sd can be use with root and folder mount. But what u want move on the ex sd? Music u can move with a file manager or a computer. Apps u must use from the intern and game data u can move with folder mount .

You can transfer apps to sd using link 2sd and folder mount for larger files as game data and game obb files. I made a tutorial for both of those things

You can use Foldermount, Link2sd, and probably others if you look for them.
I'm using Foldermount to have the WhatsApp folder on my external Sdcard.
GL2SD
Some phones like Huawei phones have the option for this.
For our phone, u can use "GL2sd" app! I've already used folder mount and link2sd, but I really prefer GL2Sd. (Try it to understand what I'm saying ) Btw it requires root access
