[Q] Sailfish OS Port for i9000 - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
can somebody port Sailfish OS for our device?
Samsung SIII got a Sailfish OS port from a user , so is here anyone looking for porting Sailfish to our device?

Sailfish Kickstart
Hi Guys, sorry to bump an old thread but surly Sailfish makes a lot of sense on our old devices? The more efficient memory and resource management of the platform make it a suitable candidate for porting and to the best of my knowledge all we need to do is take the build scripts and change it to reference the galaxymtd branch of Cyanogenmod 10.2 and they will do the rest.
If there is enough interest i can create a thread with all the relevant details needed for porting to the i9000
For any of you who might be interested in giving this a shot (I simply do not have the time or energy to even attempt it) https://sailfishos.org/develop/hadk/ <--- will come in handy.

Getting started with porting: which device to port from?

Hello,
I decided to come in the Android development with a porting, a thing that, according to what I heard, isn' too difficult to start. I read a bit this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713
and I believe it could be nice and a bit useful to port MIUI v4, since I haven't found any versions for our Galaxy Tab yet, maybe using CyanogenMod 9 official RC1 as base (since MIUI derivates from CM).
1) From which device should I port MIUI? Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S2 or anything else?
2) Will I have to change the resolution of every image to adapt a phone ROM to a tablet?
3) Would it be too difficult for a person like me, who have never created or ported a ROM before? Maybe did I misunderstood anything and is a porting a terribly difficult thing? I'm asking this because I've never seen a MIUI porting for Galaxy Tab.
4) If it's too difficult, what should I do to learn?
5) Finally, the obvious question: do I risk bricking my Tab, even if in the ROM there are neither primary nor secondary bootloaders?
I'm sorry if the questions are too many.

ubuntu port {wip}

hello exhibit community, i assume this is the correct forum, otherwise sorry mods. i recently "inherited" a t599n and i am taking the challenge of compiling an ubuntu touch rom for the device. i have very little android/pc experience. however, i have successfully built from source (cyanogenmod) and ported quite a few roms to other devices. i just upgraded my ubuntu version to saucy as precise was unable to install the phablet tool. i will be using meticulous's github sources and i will start building tonight/tommorrow depending on repo dl. any dev suggestions?
fail
i was unable to build the meticulus kernel with ubuntu source provided. i was able to build the system.img and boot.img. but w/o the ubuntu touch kernel specifics, the results are a bootloop. im off to new ventures for now as im unable to port anything to this device as of yet. i have some ideas revolved around slimroms soon.

[HELP] Porting ROM

Guys, can anyone please give me a proper guide to port rom?
I tried to port rom to our android one device but failed(boot loop),
Any dev/user knows a proper porting guide?
As android one is different from other mtk6582 devices.

Is their anyone willing to try to port Ubuntu Touch over to Samsung Galaxy A20e

The Main Reason of asking is because recently twrp has been made available to this device making flashing roms easier, and i don't have a good enough computer and technical knowledge on porting myself
