HTC One 2014 Dock - One (M8) Accessories

Old dock for HTC one work with this years?

I'd love to know if there's a dock option too. My HTC Evo 4G LTE has gotten me spoiled with a simple drop in dock. Would love to have a similar dock for this phone.

The place for the mirco USB has moved slightly to the middle. So probably will not work

Also the seize is different so this won't even fit the old dock...

Yeah, I have a dock for the M7 and it obviously won't fit. I really hope some M8 docks start surfacing soon.

Where are you seeing it? Can you provide a link? I typed "HTC One M8" and saw several cases and screen protectors, but no docks.

God damn that's expensive, hope it drops in price.
Anyone know if this dock is case friendly? Was the M7 car dock case friendly? It looks like the phone has to be naked.
Slick dock though, love that slide in. Can't wait!!!

Actually, that's not entirely true.
For my m7 I used an EZO cradle/dock that came with a plate which fit inside the dock. When the plate is removed it allows for a case to be used on the phone.
It actually worked quite well for a variety of my cases.

I hope they updated it to fix some issues. with the same style HTC dock on the M7, phone would slide out of the dock easily. slid out many times on the first day, gave it away day 2.

Nothing i've hear of tbh, but, I did find my old pouch and, suffice to say, that if the power button wasn't on the side (rather the top) it'd be perfect. I'm already starting to see microscopic scratched on the battery door. Thank you BBY for your Black Tie protection.

I don't think it's neoprene like the Nexus One pouch; it looks to be more like faux leather. On the plus side it does have some kind of 'intelligent' shock absorbing molecules though, so if you're planning to drop your phone off a building then this is the case to get
I picked up a Sunglass Hut microfiber cloth pouch ($6.99). It prevents scratches and you can clean the phone when it's inside.

BUILT pouch
I bought a neoprene pouch from BUILT and it's way nicer than my N1 case. Plus the Nexus S sits deeper in the BUILT vs. the N1 case.
I know it says for iPhone but it fits perfectly for the Nexus S.
I also know it's a little pricey but the quality is there and I haven't been disappointed.

i've got one of these. works fairly well, but can take a bit of getting used to.
I really like using my Microsoft Arc keyboard. It's pretty much full size, but I can't type anywhere near as fast on anything smaller. It's slick, light and has a carry pouch. Tiny dongle into USB OTG cable.
I also have a mini bluetooth keyboard that is about the size of my phone. It's ok, but not any great advantage over the on screen keyboard.
Out of all the bluetooth keyboards that I have seen, Logitech one is by far the best.

I've got one too. Great to haul around for note taking. It fits well in a bag since it's ~1/4" thick up until the battery compartment. Just wedge your N7 under the thin part and let the back of the keyboard sit off to the side.

Just got another comment from the Amazon thread, and apparently it doesn't fit the Nexus 7 very well:
R. Brent says:
I also bought this keyboard to use with the Nexus 7. I'm a bit impressed with how usable it is, as long as I remember not to try and type quickly.
The Nexus 7 is not a good fit. The adjustable clip doesn't quite get tight enough, and the Nexus 7 will slide out from the sides. However, it does work to hold it upright.
For less than $10, I still think it was worth the price though.

I purchased 3 different ones just like that. they all work with NeXus 7 no issues. The top arm moves up and down and fits the NeXus 7 just fine. I even have it with the NeXus7 case on it. then it becomes a tight fit.
But it does work, and for 10-15 bucks depending on which one you purchase.

Naw, not quite:
If you turn the case sidewise, the Nexus slides out. Keeping the Nexus inside its case makes it a good fit though.

It is a flip cover that covers the entire phone and has the cutout in the front.

Leather pouches

Anyone know of a leather pouch made for the M8 yet? I had a Sena case for my Note. I'm hoping I can find something for this as I really don't want to put such a nice phone in an ugly case.
http://www.htcaccessories.com.au/PO_S650.aspx
I will share it here once i find one.
Looks like it fits a bunch of devices..I don't trust it. My sena case was built specifically for my note, fit perfectly, and would never let my phone skip out on accident.

Yes i've been looking daily for a pouch.. (since i got the phone on 6 days ago lol)
I picked up this from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMRA06S/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's originally for the HTC One M7. I use it with my Dot View case. It's a bit snug, but it fits. It's been working out a lot better after working it out for a few days. The package smell on the pouch is a little strong, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with the look and build quality. FYI, it's a belt clip, not sure if that's what you're looking for.
I emailed sena cases about this.. they said they'd look into it if they get more attention about the phone. I'd suggest you guys do they same if you're interested. They already made cases for the older ones so hopefully they will for this too.

I love the idea for HTC and I really love the case, however I found kind annoying these days, why? Because the front flip cover it's annoying,I need take off the case to put into my car (generic dock ) i can't take a photo (front or back with one hand,I used to use the phone with one hand and now it's almost impossible,i hate the “automatic close“behavior from the case but I hate more the annoying that could be it's me or everyone hate this?

A) You need to remove any case to dock the device.
B) The case has a sole purpose to be useful closed.
C) After about a week you get used to how it works and manage to use your device as you normally would.
D) If it didn't snap closed, there would be a thread with someone complaining about how it's a POS case that won't snap closed, what a rip off.
E) It can be an annoying case sometimes, yes. The benefits outweigh the annoyances for me though.

I looked at it in the store for about 2s before I decided I didn't like it. I get the concept, but if you're trying to just look at something quickly, it can be hard to make out what the dot view case is displaying.

This is painfully true.
There are a bunch of cases available now though.
I'm really surprised that there have been no third party cases that make use of Dot View. Really hope we start to see some.

i love the case and yeah like the post above, its painful do something quick or one handed i will read the case thread
I found that after heavy use the case became easy to work with and feel good in one handed text with it balancing

I flip mine open after I pull it out of my pocket if I'm not using it to view notifications, and just let it pop itself closed when I'm done. I like it, never have to look at the lockscreen again.

I think it's a cool case, but one of the things I like in a case is a kickstand. I'm a fan of the iBlason case: http://www.i-blason.com/prime-dual-layer-holster-case-with-kick-stand-for-htc-one-m8.html

I guess i need to move to another case, recommendations?

I absolutely love my dot view case.
The cover keeps me from worrying about scratches and dirt on the screen, the quick time and notification view are both nice, but the real awesome feature is the swipe for voice command feature. I use it all the time to make calls.
The flap comes in handy when you're playing a game, as it sort of tilts the device toward you for better viewing angles.
True, you have to remove the case to take a good video or a very steady picture, but the case is super easy to get in and out of.
I really don't have any complaints about mine!

The barely there is nice. I'm using one. It probably won't help much if you dropped it but it will keep the sides and back scratch free.
I kind of risk assessed my probability of dropping. It's not something that's happened to me too often thankfully. I'm always conscious when handling it.

That's exactly why I got mine. I always have my phone sitting on a table so I want to keep the back from getting scratched.
Just never set it on your lap while driving.
You remember it's there after you get out and it falls to the pavement. :/

I keep my phone in the cup holder or under my thigh if I do use it.
Well we don't have your phone out while driving anyway, right?

My Poetic Atmosphere doesn't need to be removed in order for me to snap it into my iottie easy one touch.
Which i was shocked personally that the M8 would fit in it, i thought i'd have to get the XL version.
