I have to assume that that is a 4.4.2 update.has far as I have been able to tell, if you rooted using SlapMyMoto and WPNoMo, then update, you will retain root access but lose your ability to disable write protection via rebooting into recovery.

Mmm i have unlocked bootloader with root through cwm.

At the current moment it's IMPOSSIBLE to recover such devices. And I am not sure it will be ever possible.

Unable to root

I just got a new Bionic and, being a noob, took the .893 OTA. Now I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to root it using 43V3R root
Again, I'm a noob so I can't post in that thead. Here's the error message(s) I'm receiving.

Help rooting latest 4.4.2

Hi I've tried towel root, mod strings and the old active root method. None appear to work. I did previously root my active on 4.4.2 but can't for the life of me remember how?
Pointers would be welcome, Samsung appear to be the only device manufacturer still blocking device customisation.
Cheers in advance.

I've remembered that I used the cf-auto-root method by chainfire. I'll report back if it works with my current setup.

[Q] Downgrade from 4.4.4?

I have a 2013 Moto X for Verizon, I have seen people downgrade other carriers and below 4.4.4. I was wondering if I could downgrade and if so how? I tried using RSD Lite and manually through adb but all have just caused my phone to wipe data. Any info on this would be great.

Very high probability that attempting to downgrade from 4.4.4 will = brick, either now or in the future.

[Solved] I need some help for Rooting my Z3C

Hello all
I have tried with lots of methods but withoput success, even with KingRoot but nothing came out.
I found this intresting topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...0-1-5-77-debloated-deodexed-zipalign-t3015281
But I prefer to stay away form flashing devices
Is there a way to Root (and maybe unroot, but rooting is more important) my device?
