Flash Sprint HTC One M8 to Page Plus - Sprint HTC One (M8)

MOD edit information brakes XDA rules

just what i was looking for
So this phone, HTC one m8 sprint , is pretty straight forward as far as flashing as its HTC brothers and sisters??? Will one need a dummy mini, micro or nano sim in order to make the data default to Nv only or will the lack of the sim card cause the default anyway?

You could look into this one http://www.magic-sim.com/product/id...MICRO_SIM_DUAL_SIM_ADAPTER_for_HTC_ONE_S.html it says for the HTC One S but im sure it'll work, contact them first to make sure.

That's so cool. It's a bit clunky, but a very clever solution. Now if only the phone's radio could be connected to two mobile networks at once. . .
can you receive calls to both sim cards ???
Buy the Chinese model HTC One. It has dual simple card slots built in and sd card storage. But you lose the unibody construction

[Q] Replace broken phone with bad esn phone and old sim?

My sister-in-law busted her HTC One and is looking at buying a new one. I know that the Sprint Ones have sim cards now. Would it be possible for her to buy an HTC One with a bad ESN off ebay and then activate it after putting her sim card into it?

Sorry but no it will not work, The CDMA which is your 3g and voice service is stored on the phone and the esn is also, So buying a sprint phone with a bad esn would not be able to be activated on your sprint account. The sim card on the sprint phones is for the LTE. Sorry for the bad news.
There is a way to use the bad esn phone but cant discuss it here since it requires some esn mods. Google would be the best bet for that
However if you want to go to pre-paid you can buy a bad esn htc one and flash it to page plus http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601943
You can also use bad esn devices on cricket, page plus, and metro pcs by flashing it

Thanks fragmentedlogik, yes you could use it on page plus, cricket, and metro pcs. Good looking out and providing options!

[Q] SIM Unlock, Sprint, and testing other carriers questions

I have been with Sprint since 1999 and have absolutely no idea about SIM cards and other carriers so hopefully you can help clarify a few things that are running through my head with the Sprint HTC One.
1. Will unlocking the SIM for domestic US use cause any problems with using the phone on Sprint?
2. If I remove the SIM card does that basically disconnect Sprint service?
3. I am assuming that if I wanted to test out a different service say from T-Mobile ($30 Walmart plan), or any other subcarrier, after the phone is SIM Unlocked I would just get one of their SIM Cards and place it in the phone and do some activation stuff and in theory that should work. If that is the case would this cause issues at all with Sprint service?
4. Would I be able to swap out a SIM card from AT&T (or any other company) to test it out and if I decided I did not like the service I could just slip my original Sprint SIM card back in and it would be like nothing happened?
Thanks!
What you are asking is near impossible or much harder than you think. Unlocking the Sprint HTC one SIM lock will allow you to use another SIM card but the data is not going to work on anything but edge service. It also depends on what Rom you're running. Sense Roms will work with other carriers but cm, aosp, or anything other than sense will not scan for networks. Basically what you're asking is not worth the time and effort starting with a Sprint phone.

Gotcha, thanks. If you buy a Sprint phone you are stuck with Sprint.
Well not exactly stuck with Sprint. You can program a Sprint phone to work with page plus and have 3G data working flawlessly. It's mostly trying to use the Sprint phone on a different gsm network.

[Q] Selling Sprint htc ONE - Remove SIM?

So selling my Sprint htc ONE and I have searched and found people both saying to remove SIM that a new user can go Sprint store and get there own and others saying it has no personal data and since it's just used for LTE it's fine to leave in.. Can't find any official Sprint answer to this so trusting my fellow XDA users over calling some confused Sprint CSR that will tell me there phones don't have SIM cards lol...
Thanks guys!

I say leave it since it doesn't have personal info as our phone uses CDMA and the SIM card only handles the authorization for 4G. If you decide not to sell it with the SIM card they might be able to go to a Sprint store but can cause issue to the person if the person doesn't know much about the SIM card or if it's even necessary since Sprint phones didn't use SIM cards till now. Not to mention the possibility of the Sprint employees not knowing about the Sprint SIM cards.

How to make sure if I have EVO LTE phone or normal M8 phone?

Hello,
I am struggling for hours now, i got this mobile phone for free in the netherlands as it was found on the street and the owner was informed about it. He didn´t in the legally time period so now I own this phone. If i connect it to my chromebook it says ¨EVO 4G LTE¨ But actually it is a HTC one M8. Can I conclude it is a SPRINT one M8? I am new to this and I am already surprised how far I got to getting my dutch T-mobile SIM Card to work.. To get to this I THINK.... that I need to do a sim unlock (if it is SPRINT) Help me out guys please!
Some extra information: The phone is bootloader unlocked, S-Off and Super CID. The old CID was VODAPE17. I Run the Viper One M8 6.1.0 ROM. I still cannot acces my T-mobile NL network. ¨Your sim card is unable to connect to this network¨ And my phone is still saying ¨Limited service¨
Thankssss.
