Can someone create an Odin version of the new 4.4? - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on the leaked 4.4 and I see people are having problems not being able to update. If there was an Odin version, would that work?

It's because AFAIK it's not pure MJ5 but it's modified. We never had MJ5 build on Kies or Sammobile.

I restored to mj5 and then did Ota update to another version which worked fine and then it tried to do an Ota update to 4.4.2 and fails. Thinking of trying emergency firmware restore via kies and see if that works.

It won't. Kies only has MI9. It will fail because of different flash count in aboot trust me.

I can confirm this. Tried this also and it fails

I think I might know a way. Someone who restored and cannot update PM me.

Is there any way just to force the download?

update or no..

so i know ive see ths posted but searching isnt finding for some reason... i had to replace phone and it came with mi9.. shud i do the ota or root with mi9 and freeze it.. since we can root mj5 and use SS.. any reason really not to do the ota?
thanks
Only reason is that mi9 is a lot easier to since it has a Odin package as mj5 does not have a Odin package

How do I revert back to stock MI3 NO ROOT?

Anyone have the files?
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you have mj4 I don't believe a downgrade is possible
Though you can downgrade from mi5 no problem.
The stock mi3 file is still up at the Samsung update website. I don't remember the link at the moment.

Yup I knew that was previously the case, and was pretty sure there was no workaround.
I hate when they do cap like that to the bootloader.
I'm going to take that as confirmation, as I knew back when mj4 first came out and I was maintain a Knox safe root thread. There were a few issues of people tripping Knox Even on a complete stock uprooted phone attempting to downgrade to run the Vega files.
Just hadn't looked into it since then wasn't sure someone hadn't worked around it.
Though why you would want to go back to mi3 is another question.

im in the same boat sorta. guy wants to buy my phone but i wanna give it to him as clean as possible. im on mj4. is there anyway to go back to a stock stock version of that?

Yup, there are a few stock mj4 options (with or without root)
Check the development section.
I personally usually use Odin to flash the full official Samsung mj4 tar.

Just to go Security>Permission control > disable root permission
If you are using any third party root permission managers like SuperSu
Just uninstalling them would work.

I'm not sure. WiFi still works for me after numerous reboots. Did you factory reset and wipe cache before flashing? That's what I did.

So this got me thinking, what if you flash the MI2 pre-release, and then the ML2 files EXCEPT the bootloader? I'm not sure the phone would boot, but if it did work you would be on official firmware with the ability to flash back to MF1.

I had already thought about doing that as well. My reasoning was for root. I used to do that when I had my Infuse a few years ago. I am working twelve hour days for a couple of days and won't feel like messing with my phone too much during that time but sometime in the middle of the week I was already going to try that. I don't see why it would not work. I was just going to flash the firmware and the modem from ml2 on top of mi2. Hell it might just work on mf1 too.

About rooting and unlocking the active on 4.3
I have a i537 ml2 but my provider is t-mobile. I have been using gay voip services since I got it. how do i go about modding the firmware and phone mapping? Is there an unlock yet? How do I root it? I have been successful with the iphone but I started with the G-1 and then MyTouch, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, now the S4 Active, and soon the Galaxy Note 3. Oh, Also had a galaxy tab 2. Aside from the original IPhone, Ionly ever bother with the Iphone 4s. Much bigger Android Fan. Linux fan. Open-source Fan.lol So, what do I need to learn. Any book suggestions?
