Edit: did it boot? I am very interested to hear feedback on this build!

Will test and report after

OK so while flashing encountered some errors. TWRP 2.6.3.4 gives FAILED and philz gives a status 7 error. I ignored them and booted and the os was installed. Another thing is that there is no camera app. It is in system but it doesn't show up in drawer or anywhere. Thanks for the rom!

Thank you for the feedback, I use TWRP and there has been an issue where if you wipe system TWRP has an issue formating it while it is mounted so if you manually unmount /system that should take care of it. I would guess the missing camera could be an issue with the flash.

Checked in the mounts and system wasn't mounted. Ticked and unticked and it still had the same issue after flashing. I'll post here the flash log when I get home in a couple of hours

Alright, I have an updated build using IllusionRom's kernel and the SaberMod 4.7 Toolchain. This, to me, has been the fastest and most stable my G2 has run, I have had this tested on every G2 variant and so far it seems to be stable and run well. If you are feeling up to it please try the OTA, if not I will post links a bit later tonight.
Please feel free to give me feedback on the OTA experience and how the kernel works for you.
Changelog is in the OTA, to manually update go to Settings > About Phone > LiquidSmooth Updates if it does not show 3.0-20140331 use the menu to Refresh.
Thanks for checking out my build and I hope it works as well for you as it has been working for me!

I was hopping roms the last few days because of the call echo. Is that fixed in d802? I really need my daily Dosis of liquid.
Edit : nvm, looks like i can't tell the difference between d802&d803

I know all I've been doing is posting bugs but I have to report my findings haha
When I go to Liquid OTA it says
"Unsupported Rom: The ROM developer has not enabled support for the OTA Updater! Please ask them (Kindly) to add support before using this app!
(otaupdater.otaid value empty or missing)"
I press "Ignore" and head to where the OTA should be. Pressed refresh a couple of times and it didnt show anything.
Thanks for showing interest in one of the variants that has gotten the least support compared to other variants. This looks promising!

I must have screwed something up when I added it to the OTA.
No problem, I am just glad you are responding and giving feedback.
Edit: OTA should be fixed in the next build. The OP link has been updated.

Hm, I'd like to know what have been the results for other users. I flashed the latest 31/3 one and got the same failed, flashed gapps after, booted, same camera issue and when I went to the OTA updater it gave the same "device not supported" message. Apart from that, the rom is completely fine.
I took the d802 version, changed the updater-script and flashed Furnace 1.8.1 on top of it, and so far so good, no issues on the d803. Loving the work you've done on it, will use that one from now on

Sorry, I meant the build after 31/3 will have a working OTA. If really like to hear from others as well. ~30 people have downloaded it so someone other than you should have installed it by now.
I will look at the build.prop and configs to make sure something wasn't missed in the bring up.

1: If you are coming from another ROM do a full wipe
1a: If you are updating from this ROM you can wipe cache and dalvik cache
2: Flash gapps (download below)
2a: If you are S-on, or don't know what I'm talking about, then its safe to say you need to flash the boot.img in the rom.zip
3: Reboot
4: Enjoy PAC-man 4.3
Please read the whole post for changelog, Download links, and other important info
. As always: remember it takes a FULL charge from AC, and a full discharge then re charge battery to be accurate. Also leave it plugged in for up to an hour at 100%, Another thing i find helps battery life is to make custom auto-adjustment values if you use auto-brightness. Check below for full changelog Feedback always welcome Please read the Kernel section for more info and full config options for the kernel.

* Removed/Disabled KSM
* Removed ZRAM
* User-configurable GPU OC (Not OC'd by default)
* Optimized and compiled with with the "Optimize a lot, or -o3 option)
* Added more I/O schedulers
* Tweaked voltages a bit
* Reverted CRT hack to smooth animation in Android 4.2.2
* Increased PMEM_MDP as it is needed in Android 4.2.2 to fix soft-reboots
* PM_FAST enabled by default (high power wi-fi when screen is off)
These settings were changed by Albinoman to help make the kernel more stable with our ROM, observed with tests by him. If you want more features of the Sultan kernel feel free to flash it, but support will not be provided in this thread.
Other Features of the kernel include:
* OC to 1866Mhtz (default 1566Mhtz)
* Undervolted
* User-configurable CPU OC
* User-configurable CPU default governor (ondemand = default)
* User-configurable I/O scheduler (default = SIO)
* User-configurable badass gonvernor (default = balanced)
You can edit many of the settings in /system/etc/init.d/99kernel,
Bugs
* MHL doesn't work
* back cam recording freezes if stopped after 30sec
* Random FC on certain apps. Pac problems
* Toggles in settings not working. You have to go into the setting (wifi, bluetooth, etc)
* You tell me!
Notes
* As of AOSP 4.2.2 ADB now has a whitelist feature. On first connect with adb it will say device offline You need to update your ADB then with the phone connected. Disable and Re-Enable Android Debugging in the Developer Options menu. It will ask if you want to accept and show the PC's RSA key. Select Yes and it will now work as expected
* If you are having a lot of soft reboots when waking the device set you min CPU freq. to 384htz in Performance settings.
* If you are coming from another ROM i highly recommend you perform and Wipe Date/Factory Reset in recovery menu when applying this ROM.
* The gapps linked to does not have photosphere. As far as i know it's not supposed to. If you want photophere search for the flashable zip
* If you can't get MMS to work. Send yourself a MMS. or just wait a day. eventually they will work again
* For the best battery life I suggest the stock settings with the exception of the ONDEMAND governor. Switching to BADASS will yield best battery results

I have the same problem as in the 4.2.2, no phone reception, though data works and Wi-Fi.
would you mind telling me how I could extract the radio file from Telstra stock rom and adding it to your rom?? it might help a lot of Aussies get good reception
thank you

Go Settings > wifi > [menu soft key] > advanced; turn off "scanning always on". That is on by default.
Then go to GPS in Settings and turn off Location Access if you haven't already.
That brought down Google Services battery usage down to 15% from 54%. It still shouldn't be so high bit I don't know what else to do. If you have Google Maps 7.x then turn off location access in that too. It is separate to the OS service for some reason now.
---------- Post added at 02:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:58 AM ----------
Also, I'd like to report some bugs. After reboot my app shortcuts on my homescreens are messed up. Folders do not contain all the apps I placed in them and some shortcuts are on the wrong screen. Widgets appear unaffected but I haven't tested that.
Also, the camera is a black screen until after a few attempts to focus on a chosen point. Then it overexposes the image.
I'm not sure if my reception is weaker as the 4.2.2 PAC rom didn't display reception properly. It displays properly the icon and text/dBm.
Electron beam shutoff animation blinks strangely (not sure if you can fix that) it worked so smoothly in 4.2.2.
And it appears that the random pause during music and video playback that I experienced in 4.2.2 is gone.
I blame tyler.
Otherwise this rom is a big improvement over 4.2.2 with the smoothness and speed.

Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- Maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- Originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- Aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
Features
-Stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
-Enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
-Custom written CRON and init.d.
-UI and graphics improvements
-Custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
-Improved notification handling
- Lockscreen notifications
- Rewritten Halo
-Usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
-Animation control
-Improved Vanir keyboard
-CM's profiles & quicksettings
-Additional quicksetting tiles
-Immersive desktop
- A combination of immersive mode and expanded desktop
-Statusbar mods
-Clock & battery mods

F2FS Support
- What is F2FS?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F2FS
- Does F2Fs improve performance?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697069
see for your self
- Is it dangerous?
No, android is fully compitable with F2FS
But do keep in mind EXT4 is still more stable, and F2FS is developed by samsung(samsung is crap)
Worse case scenario is an encrypted device, wich can be fixed with a hard reset
- What one shouldn't do:
Flash F2FS kernel on EXT4 formated devices and vice versa
so if youre on F2FS, and if you want to update your rom,
make sure you should the F2FS kernel after
I'm working on a script that makes one kernel support both filesystems
but it isn't ready yet.
How does one make it's phone F2FS?
- Back up everything to your pc (including your internarl storage)
- Download recovery and kernel
- Flash my TWRP
- Go to wipe
- Format data
- Now go to wipe/advanced wipe
- Check data
- Click repair or change file system
- Change it to F2FS
- Now do the same for /cache
- Now flash the F2FS kernel
- Reboot and profit
- How does one know he has succelfully formatted /data and /cache to F2FS?
Use adb shell or terminal emulator
execute "mount" and you can see you file system.

The D800 may just need a kernel that has loki baked into it. If the developers of this ROM would make a boot.img with loki built in then I would flash it. Already recovered from a bad CM flash so know how to repair phone :=)

Not exactly, the D800 has an extra mic the D802 doesnt have, so the code needs to be fixed for audio to work, and the kernel needs the ATT specific DTB attached to it, Dalingrin is currently sorting out Tmo (D801) issues and after that he has said he will try to work on the ATT version, I'm assuming Arcee will be helping as well, but not sure as I've only spoken to Dalingrin.
What's the issue with the home key? Would love to try this.

no the current testing build of cm for D801, has issues, but it looks like a device maintainer for 801 has just been found recently and will be taking point of the build, apparently it is almost done. so hang in there, last to get builds are gonna be ATT and Sprint.
Well that's weak sauce

I was guessing it wasn't since I ran into a security issue while trying to play with the CM build.
Is your source on github or somewhere else?

Mine just in case
Flashed the ROM. Running fine so far except for one major bug which also exist on all custom ROMs (CM11, AOKP and Beanstalk) of this phone - audio volume is unacceptably low on both audio and video recording. Its perfectly fine on stock and all stock based custom ROMs. I believe its to do with the kernel wherein the 2nd or one of the mic is not working.
Please fix it for once and I am going to stick with this ROM.

The problem is the 2nd mic not being enabled when recording, not the speaker volume of the ZR, unless the meow kernel enables the 2nd mic then increasing the volume will not fix the problem.

Have not happen to me. Been having a good deep sleep last night.
Best custom rom for the Xperia ZR (dogo)
Thanks Dev!!!
This rom is the most feature rich and smooth among the few available for dogo. I am very happy with it. Now it is running with art runtime without problems. I don't like benchmarks, but tried antutu, to compare art and dalvik. With art it is 20110. No performance changes. Everything is like right after the rom flash. Just installed my ~50 apps.
With Dalvik it is 20440. Art gave a bit faster feeling but there are some older apps don't run under art.
Anyway dalvik is also fine regarding speed : ) And I am not a developer so maybe this comparism was silly and not so scientific : )
My short review:
- Apn selection ok here as well
- no reboots at all, build is working fine and stable for some days
- wifi fine
- mobile networks: couldn't test yet
- bluetooth: couldn't test yet
- battery seems to be fine, but havn't checked it so much
- custom quick settings tile is very handy
- nav bar button configuration capability as well
- camera for me is a bit boring, I am using SnapCameraHDR instead. I like it's feature that both the photo shoot button and video recording start button are on the screen. so you don't need to choose between photo or video mode just push the button you need (like on the stock camera). And it is more feature rich. But HDR photos are not that good than the rom's built-in camera.
- Sound recording volume level low as with all the custom roms. Hopefully the next release of meow kernel could do smthg with it.
- first thing I changed: boot animation : ) the original was really disturbing for me. but that is not important regarding a rom performance : )
New Build is up
SlimRoms new recent's has been added replacing the current Iphony/sense recents (Video of it here)
Liquid Papers has been Re-added to the build, it now has a bunch more Wallpapers and now includes Lock Ring's and is translated into Spanish and German.
Time Context Headers for the Notification Bar
Built in Native Screen Recorder can activate it by holding power and vol + for a second
Custom Toast Animations
New Network Traffic indicator in the status-bar by popular request. It show the up speed and down speed.
Added a cm patch which will decrease the boot time on MultiCore phones for example i got a 40 second boot time from a clean flash on my Nexus 5.
A patch which make secondary chars more visible while using the TRDS dark keyboard
Custom Lock Handle is fixed
Custom Lockscreen Wallpaper is fixed
Flashing with TWRP should now be fixed (syslink error)
German Translation added for settings and frameowkrs
100% working ART
Features removed:
Left Handed Nav Bar
Halo
Good news : ) can't wait to try it!
One recommendation: could you provide md5 sum files next to the builds? It would be reassuring to check the file before flash.
New recent view is nice. But can you add some feature like kill all with one button & see the current free RAM ?

First: I did according to the below process, but I don't take any responsibility.
Is your phone Xperia ZR?
You will need a working recovery also, where from you will install the rom, and gapps zip. I recommend the Xperia Recovery Manager app. That cost something, but than really easy and handy to get the right recovery for your phone. You can choose TWRP or CWM. And read the app thread for more advantage of installing recovery to FOTAKernel partition (as the app does). I use TWRP. It is handy, and if you set the time zone correctly, it will make an easy to find name for your nandroid backups (date_time_rom name) by default.
When you have a working recovery (lets say TWRP):
1. Start the recovery
2. Make a nandroid backup (you can choose between internal storage, sd card to save it). (Than I recommend a reboot, and check whether the backup files exists or not? than back to recovery)
3. Make a Factory reset (or you can choose the followings manually: wipe cache, dalvik, data. you can wipe system also)
4. install rom zip
5. install gapps zip
6. Than I wiped cache and dalvik (Sometimes I skip this. If there is problem without this step, than do it)
7. reboot and enjoy
first boot a bit longer than later boots will be

Like the OP states... This is AOSP.... and No. Updating firmware will not make it magically happen... There is still a lot of code to merge in for such features.. The purpose of this tread is to help spread the word to other Dev's that there is other sources out there that can be built from. This is just a taste of what this source can do..
Thanks for updating..

More than just a new ROM. The possibility to open up much more development.
Edit: and some differentiation
I usually run a very vanilla KK ROM and so I just had to try this as my first lollipop ROM..

Just tested both Front and Rear camera and video with the app built with the ROM and no FC. As far as NFC well I gotta look into some of the updated commits made on it from other trees. Don't use the feature never have.

Support on this thread is for LiquidSmooth ROM related issues only.
While we do not mind helping, its getting impossible to sort through issues that are ROM related or not. Persistent non-ROM related issues are best suited for the Galaxy s3 i9300, Help & Troubleshooting Section.
Below is a few things I would appreciate you list when you are having issues so we have as much information as possible when trying to help you with your problems.
Is this a Clean flash
Is this the stock kernel
What firmware revision are you on
What gapps package are you using
Have you had this issue on other ROMs
Do you have any apps that change/modify system preferences (Xposed, etc)
Do you have any task killers installed

"All" is relative to each person. There are some parts that will break with O3 and have to be O2 or Os. Stability over speed. The more that's O3 the more chances that you lose stability. Could there be more added, sure. We'll get there
Flashed okay with PAgapps latest.
nice and refreshing bootanimation.
Woking wifi , calls
most of customizations in setting there.
Slim launcher i like
Cm theme engine there.
a personal thanks for pie control in navigation.
in about phone there is OTA update centre. so i think there might be
Selinux disabled . what does that mean. it is permissive in other roms i used
I will be using this for a few days now and report if thre is any problem. Else its awesome go for it.
Could not find a file manager
THis is my initial report .

Disabled and permissive are basically the same. In permissive SeLinux its active and reporting, disabled its not active at all. Right now to the user, its pretty much the same thing

I tried to install Xposed Lollipop on this rom, but It didnt work, and when I try to change SELinux mode using SELinux Mode Changer on Playstor, it states that SElinux is not exist..
Sorry if OT by the way.. Thanks, this rom is really fast and smooth, will give feedback if theres something found..
