I'm using these on my T-Mobile G Flex and both Internet and MMS work on AT&T Straight Talk. Name of APN can be anything you want.
APN: tfdata
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT: 80

The issue lies in that AT&T has locked the ability to edit the APN Type field. Where you can normal type in: internet, mms, supl, hipri to get your MMS to work they have disabled the option. Those apps will not work. You need to follow the above mentioned comment and edit the system files with the correct settings.

This hidden menu have a "APN Edit" check box.
Check it and after reboot. You can edit settings

lg g flex d950 att straight talk.apn type work around
1. First pull out sim(do not power down)
2. No apns will be shown as there is no sim but add new anyways.
3. Fill in using all data needed. Input (internet, mms, supl, hipri) for apn type.
4. Save new apn.
5. Turn off and put in sim. Then power on once in.
6. Do not use the new apn type, use the original straight talk apn. (The newly made apn is working behind the first apn.
6. That's it!

any word on camcorder/mms sending?

Title says it all
+1 to that.
I know how to send mms but not recieve.
For Verizon do this to be able to send mms
Go to Settings -> Wireless Controls -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names -> Android
Modify the following settings:
MMSC: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=<your ten-digit phone number>
MMS proxy: leave empty
MMS port: 80
I was thinking i should modify the username to [email protected] and password to vzw like windows mobile but i am afraid to try it because i dont know what the current password is to change it back if it dont work for recieving

i dont have sprint but you could try this instead of what i use. i read sprint is more difficult

if that dont work, here is a thread for mms sprint android discussion

This is being discussed in the "Vogue CDMA General Developement" section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627388
Sending works, Receiving does not yet. The link in the prior post has instructions on settings to get sending pic messages working.
Well I have a sprint touch and I can receive. Not sure why everyone says they can't, but I followed the thread and the only sprint version I saw was for the thouch pro 3 so I tried that and it sends but it doesn't make it to the person I'm sending to, tried sending to my email and phone.

You can receive? But can't send? Sounds strange. Make sure your entering your phone number in the MMSC field as 1234567890 not <1234567890> thats what I was doing wrong initially. Can you post a link to the tp2 thread you are reffering to...I've seen a few but none mentoined any setting besides the ones already listed in this thread.
It was just on the 3rd Or 4th page I think. : http:// Developement" section: http:// forum.xda-developers.com/ showthread.php?t=627388. Yeah I was always able to receive mms, ever since I started using android back in January. But I put in those settings for touch pro 2 found on that site cause it was sprint qnd I was finally able to send it but it wouldn't make it to the person I was sending to.

When you "receive", is it the actual image or a web link to it? Everyone gets the web link - that just means Sprint thinks your phone isn't MMS-capable on the server side so they text you a link instead. You're not "receiving MMS" unless you get the image straight to your phone.

You can just edit the T-mobile apn. Keep in mind once you edit it and save it the apn deletes itself. Then all your left with is the telkila apn. Everything will continue to work as it did before. It's not strange, sprint doesn't send MMS to the phone through the old fashion way, they send a link to your phone and you follow that to a webpage containing your image

T-mobile MMS Help (w/ $10 internet settings)

Guys,
I have performed a search and tried various settings but have been unable to find a combination that works.
I cannot get the MMS on my unlocked, purchased directly from Google, T-mobile Nexus One to send.
Additionally, I am using the APN of internet2.voicestream.com so that I can use the $10 Web2Go internet instead of the epc.tmobile.com.
I have tried using both the stock messaging system as well as Handcent.
I am currently on Froyo but I also had the same problems with Eclair.
What are the tried and true settings for my particular configuration? Is anyone out there doing the same exact thing as me and have you been successful with sending MMS's?
you need two apns
FROYO by default will add epc one... don't delete it. however, go to APN settings and change the APN type to mms
create another APN for internet2 and set its type to default
arkavat,
Thanks a bunch! I tried this before but I did not properly set the internet2.voicestream.com APN type to "default". That did the trick.
Which APN should I apply the "supl" type to? internet2 or epc?
Can either of you post a line by line of the mms settings? This may come in handy to enable mms on my old g1 that my gf is using without a data plan.
I had the same issue, the mms settings helped but something else helped.
Send two sms and two mms to your phone (from yourself) and that fixed it for me.
OH MAN! I just spent 2 hours checking every line and trying every combination. Follow the above instructions about the mms and default APN settings exactly..... REBOOT your phone, then it will work. I didn't reboot and it drove me nuts.

for MMS I used just the factory settings.. epc.tmobile.com, etc etc..
However.. I changed the name of it from T-mobile US to T-mobile US-MMS
then down at the bottom where it says APN type.. you type in "mms".. all in lower case letters..
Now simply make a new APN... with the settings
Name T-mobile US
APN internet2.voicestream.com
APN Type "default" (all lower case again)

Thanks... I need to get my gf to sign up for the $10 web plan if it's still available. She's getting nothing... no internet, and no MMS, which is what she really wants to work.
Has anyone had any problem using a lot of data while on this plan? Will they notice?
I noticed that in the Manage Account Usage page under Recent Usage, with only 244.6/Unlimited minutes, the little bar below it is about 1/4 of the way filled. Is that normal or does that mean that we have a 1 GB softcap now?
The price makes it worth my while to go easy on the data, but I'd still rather watch an episode on hulu every day, if possible.
arg nm it just started working lol.
Anyone here has the Even More Unlimited Web Plan ($10) working here?
I am wondering if it is the same as web2go

Bell Users on FROYO

Hi,
I think my download speed have gone down a bit for a while. It also coincides with most of my market downloads being broken. The small apps download fine but the bigger apps are always unsuccessful.
To bell users, are you have that problem too? and have you modified the APN settings or are you simply using the ones the ones that the phone automaticaly have. (T-Mobile settings i think)
Thanks
Bryan
I am using the default settings and it seems to be working just fine. Is there any particular app you were trying to download? I can download it and see what happens.

Likewise, everything seems fine for me, though the signal seems to be less.
I thought I was getting lower d/l speeds, and was having trouble with installs with releases 2 through 5, never tried 6 through 7 and all was fine by release 8.

According to mobilespeedtest.com, I'm getting between 550 - 690 Kbps and downloads outside of the market seems fast. I think it might be related to the market app only. I'm using proxy.bell.ca as the APN.

What are your full settings for Bell APN?
The only APN setting I used was the setting the APN field to proxy.bell.ca (and the name, of course). I left everything else as default.
Although I don't know if it makes a difference in terms of speed. I was more worried that Bell would start charging me for roaming if I continued to use the T-mobile or Internet APNs (which they didn't seem to be).
What speeds are everyone else getting from mobilespeedtest? I tried the 100K and 1MB file downloads.

We should be extra sure about these settings and if they apply for the Vogue because Bell doesn't consider the Touch a smart phone and so most of us have unlimited browsing. With the wrong APN, bell could consider it a PDA and start charging data.
Can someone confirm that the APN for the Touch is pda.bell.ca and not proxy.bell.ca or if it is something altogether different?

I just tried to install skymap just for the heck of it and was able to. It did restart in the middle but I had about 5 apps downloading from the market so I'm not sure if it was Sky Map that caused it. In short, successfully installed and tested Sky Map from Market. Took about 3 minutes from start to finish.
I'm running the dzo Froyo build and 15-07-10.nbh. I've noticed that the Market in Froyo is way slower than Eclair/Donut.

MMS issues on 3.22.1540.1 based roms

Some people are reporting issues when trying to send MMS messages on roms based on the android 4.3 Developer Edition release.
So far we have determined that this problem does not affect everybody nor does it seem to be data connection type; 2G, 3G, 4G, etc.
In order to try and find out what the cause is could you provide information to help try to determine the common factor here.
Model type
Country
Carrier
Rom
Network type
Max mms size setting
plus any more info you can add (I'll probably add to this list as I think of more info required)
Perhaps a few of you could also post this info if you have no MMS problems
It may be we won't find the cause and it may require an update from HTC to fix but we'll keep looking for now
Edit: If anyone knows of a fix at this stage please let us know.

I don't think ATT users are having issues with their mms. Have you seen any reporting any issues?

thats good so you can send and receive mms fine then i assume?

Major MMS issue. Please assist.

Hi everyone. I've had the HTC One through T-Mobile since the first few weeks of its release. One of the best features about it is Group MMS. That way I can be in a group chat with most of my friends who have iPhones. It was working flawlessly on both a stock T-Mobile ROM, and Android Revolution 8.0. About two weeks ago my friends kept telling me some of my messages were coming in as blank. I was able to see my own messages and I was able to see all of their messages in group form.
I would reboot my phone, and occasionally I would send a message that would be readable. I wasn't sure what was going on. I had T-Mobile reset my SIM card info from their end, I removed my SIM card, etc. That didn't fix it.
I also wiped my device completely last night. Installed a 4.3 ROM (InsertCoin) thinking it was going to remedy the situation. But no...I am still sending blank messages.
What could be the issue here? Why would this stop working out of the blue, and wiping doesn't fix the situation!
Normal SMS is fine!
Please help!

I will try, but why would it just stop working out of nowhere? I also stated I reset it to factory settings as well, and even tried a new ROM. I didn't alter APN settings.
Edit: Just checked, APN settings are correct.

IDK, The only thing I know, is that I had this issue with my One X last year just after going from stock rom to cyanogenmod. no mms and sms working fine. I deleted my APN and created a new with correct info (mine from Rogers) and everything were working again.
Maybe flashing rom erase apn settings? idk. Just try, its very simple to check before going deeper.

Nope, I checked. The APN settings are there, locked, not able to be changed, and are correct.
Like I said, Group MMS works. I can see everyone's messages in the group. It's when I send one that it works on and off. This only started happening a few weeks ago. It was perfect for months.
It seems like I'm not the only one...
Anyone know what to do about this???????

the second to last post in that thread has a suggestion. Install the new Hangouts app with SMS integration and you'll be all set. Then you'll be used to it when we get our 4.4 update (or when Hangouts updates from it's 4.3 version, whichever is first)

I don't want to use third party apps (even though it's Google).
I should be able to use the stock messaging app like I've been using for months.
