Q&A​
Q. Can I use this ROM on S-ON devices?
A. Yes, you can use it, but you might face some issues like long reboot, missing boot animation, higher battery consumption , Wi-Fi issues and etc.
Q. My Wi-Fi doesn't work
A. You must update firmware to latest 4.xx.xxx.x
Q. Will new firmware wipe my device? Should I be S-OFF
A. It won't wipe your device, but your device must be S-OFF.
Q. My camera doesn't want to take pictures due to insufficient permissions and I don't see my files, what should I do?
A. Probably you wiped your internal storage with twrp recovery in the past. Install Terminal Emulator program out of Google play. Execute this command

The problem is symlink("wcd9320_mbhc.bin", "/data/misc/audio/mbhc.bin"); you took from my ROM/updater-script but you forgot ";" at the end
so just change

possibly. where is it? i installed another rom which had an incompatible kernel so the phone wont boot. of course i forgot to do a nandroid first. i get stuck at htc one white screen. of coourse i can enter recovery and fastboot.

Not that I saw. It just said "You are now running Maximus" in Aroma after 1 sec, then kicked back out to TWRP where it had a "successful" message.

Must be using latest TWRP recovery. No exceptions!
Does NOT work on GPE ROMS or any AOSP / CMx / PA, ETC. Sense 6 ONLY!

v7 - 10/28 - BETA Package rebuilt by Steve0007 based on a 4.4.4 H/K Base ROM. Has some issues with FLAC and Bluetooth streaming. Therefore it has been downgraded to beta.
v6 Verizon Remix 10/26 - Updated the settings APK for Verizon 4.4.4 Base.
v6 - 9/15 - Added additional sound files per @steve007's suggestion. Updated ADSP installation method suggested by @Captain_Throwback. If you were running @steve007's unofficial 5.1 there is no need for you to use v6. They are the same. V6 does varry from my prior version 4.3
v4.3 - 9/14 - Corrected script issue. There are no sound changes from 4.0 to 4.3
v4.2 - 9/13 - Updated all files, including Verizon to be 4.4.3 based now. There are no sound changes from 4.0 to 4.2.
v4.1 - 8/3 - Updated install scripts courtesy of EarlyMon. There are no sound changes from 4.0 to 4.1.

Hi...I just flashed v4 over v3...after reboot my phone hangs after few seconds...I tried reverting to v3 but still the same problem...anyone else having this issue....Im using viperone 1.8.0 with ElementX kernel 0.19 and installed Project ERA 19.1 as well...S-Off with latest firmware posted by MaximumHD

@scrosler PLEASE UPDATE OP WITH THIS:
***ALWAYS make a Nandroid of AT LEAST /system BEFORE flashing this, as this will DISABLE OTA ELIGIBILITY. The OTA installer will raise flags at all of the changed /system files, and you WON'T be able to update.***
I figured this out the hard way today, and I think it would be good for people to know.
Even if you use the zip to disable it OTAs still won't work (it didn't for me, anyways).

For anyone that is experiencing heavy lag and slow initial boot up just give the rom a chance to soak in and wait for caches to be optimized. Been some talk in the stock sense 7 6.0 thread that the lag may have to do with deodex. Seems like after giving time to updates all apps and soak in that performance gets better. The initial setup process can be a bit discouraging but just hang in there it gets a lot smoother.

If you have data but no mms, try adding /servlets/mms to the mmsc or ensureing it is set altogether. See below

S-off is not required.
You may need to update your TWRP though...nobody else has had any troubles flashing it.

Usually that only happens when you enter an field that isn't needed.
If only the proper fields are entered, it should save.
Maybe @tuxattack80 can post his for you...I'm on Verizon variant and port, so I can't tell you your APN or what works or not on Sprint.

Butterfly 2 is experimental for support... since I had to compile kernel without owning the device... but being that it's a msm8974 I'm 99% sure it will boot.... please give first initial boot time to take up to 20mins.!

Wow I didn't know that 3.0.0.0 was available. Yeah I have a B2 UL(UHL), the other is the Japanese model B2 WLJ.

I have HTC B2_UL devices, but which rom for it?, i downloaded this rom "HTC_E8_EYE_M8_B2.....zip", but in aroma installer options are: HTC E8, E8 sprint, Eye, M8, M8 sprint", but when i try all of them, my device didn't boot, only boot to fastboot mode?

Kernel for butterfly 2 compiled with no errors. So I know kernel is fine.... so I'm sure if you select m8 as install then flash my butterfly2bootfix I'm sure the rom should boot with no issues within 10-20mins.

Yes, fixed Adaway, but you can try to flash xpose framework for v6.2 to fix adaway
You can use Root Explorer go to system/priv-app/XTSFlashOnCall and remove it

I've tried to link /system/etc/hosts to /data/data/hosts. However, it will be reseted to original hosts file after reboot. Any idea how to fix it?

Getting Error "Unfortunately, Pixel Launcher has Stopped" when i try to change Wallpaper. By the way, this ROm running very smooth.

When it show the dialog box, press oke, go to setting, in the top of right corner, you can reset all setting app draw, it will fix this error

Thank. But It will reset permissions for all other apps and you had to approve again :laugh:
