[ROM][5.1] 9/17/2015-Lollipop Stock Rooted Google Play Edition LMY47O.H9 - One (M8) Android Development

This is a Stock Google Play Edition Rom LMY47O.H9. It has no modifications besides being rooted
Devs feel free to use as a base, just give proper credit
Updated 9/17/2015
1. Make sure you do a wipe if coming from another rom
2. Flash in recovery
3. reboot(I suggest TWRP)
4. profit
It seems people on older firmware are having issues with wifi. This is due to your old firmware. If you are not S-off you will have to wait for your carrier to release updated firmware. There is nothing that can be done about it. :-/
If you have problems make sure you do a full wipe.. if you continue to have problems you need to be as detailed as possible.. What version firmware are you running? What ROM are you coming from? Are you bootloader unlocked? you need details.. if you don't give details you're more likely to get a better answer as to why it doesn't work from the fortune teller on the corner.
Also, please do not PM me for support. PM's will not be answered. Post it in the thread. It helps other's having the same issue find a solution. If it's over PM it only benefits you and not everyone else

That was quick!!! Thanks Buddy!!

Keep this in mind, system write protection is enabled by default, the current module available does not yet work to disable write protection on GPe based roms.

Hi Graffixnyc, long time after s3. So I have att version and I am unlocking bootloader right now. i will install recovery after that and then, will this run on ATT version like a regular flash from recovery?

Hey dude!! I actually saw yourr other post in my thread but forgot to respond! How is everything?? It has been a while. Yes, it will run fine. I'm running it on my AT&T version.

seems super laggy to me, even the bootanimation. did a full wipe to.

I'm having issues as well with lots of lag and no camera or wifi.

odd, im flashed the backup version and its perfect

Will this work on the dev edition
Sent from my HTC One M8

Flashed this one and used the backup. The backup is more fluid than this for some reason.

It didn't seem laggier to me.. But I have since restored my data.. Let me try with a fresh system wipe and play with it for a bit

Seems fine to me.. I wiped and flashed and it doesnt seem laggy to me so far.. I'll keep playing with it but it seems just as good as the cwm back up version for me

Trying to install via PhilZ CWM and getting this:
Creating links and setting perms...
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
Edit: redownloading, checking sums and such.

Yup did a full wipe. Laggy. Lock screen, waking, sleeping and drawer
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Fixed it. Had to specifically format /data for some reason. A full wipe wasn't cutting it.

Running smoothly here. Full wipe using Philz. Well chose the Install new rom option or whatever it's called. No lag!
Though question.. Since this is just the stock GPE ROM, does that include the stock recovery? Philz came up saying that the ROM may try to flash a recovery on boot and whether I want this to happen.. chose no.. but not sure what's going on.

You were correct to chose no. It doesn't flash a recovery. Chainfire uses the install-recovery.sh script file for root purposes. twrp knows about this I believe since chainfire works directly with dees troy..

Build.prop changes?
I feel like my new M8 is almost perfect. Going from AT&T bloatware to a almost Nexus experience! Thank you so much for the hard work! One question and hopefully it isn't a noob question but I always change my LCD density down to 380 as I feel stock is huge! Do we need S-off to be able to change that in build.prop as I can edit it but it doesn't change anything. Thanks in advance for any info.

[ROM] Stock Sense/Froyo v3.21.605.1 *Official* (Rooted, Odexed OR Deodexed) [9/30/10]

This is a rooted ROM built off the official HTC Sense/Froyo v3.21.605.1 release (pulled from signed RUU). As of 9/30/2010, this build remains the most recent official release for the Droid Incredible from HTC/Verizon. If you are looking for a completely untouched ROM with only the changes necessary to sustain root access, this thread is for you.
ROM Details:
Completely unmodified (odexed version) and sourced from RUU_Incredible_C_Froyo_VERIZON_WWE_3.21.605.1_Radio_2.15.00.07.28_2k4k_NV_1.50_PRL58006_release_143351_signed.exe.
Includes all system components and full boot image.
Rooted with Superuser 2.3.6.1.
Absolutely nothing removed.
Odexed (untouched) and deodexed (suitable for mods/themes) both available.
Installation:
You must be rooted, have nand unlocked and be running a 2.x radio. Follow dadicus' guide for details on how to perform these steps.
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM, in case you change your mind or encounter issues.
Apply the zip via Clockwork Recovery. It has not been tested with any other recovery.
If you are coming from another completely stock ROM (i.e. Sense 2.1 or 2.2), you may not have to wipe data. I obviously recommend wiping data (since it will eliminate any possibly bad/stale configuration), but the update script will not do so automatically during installation. Use your best judgement to determine what works best for you.
Disclaimer
As with any modification (ROM, patch, etc), you run the risk of damaging your device. While unlikely, it is important to consider this possibility before proceeding. I take no responsibility for any such damage, data loss or otherwise.
Changelog
Version R2 Odexed, R3 Deodexed (9/30/2010):
Fixed boot.img ramdisk to set ro.secure=1 and persist.service.adb.enable=1.
Updated Superuser to 2.3.6.1.
Deodex fixes for Teeter and Camera app missing shutter audio.

Reserved for future use.
Thanks

I agree but until it's being pushed by Verizon I didn't want to make a claim I couldn't be absolutely certain is correct.
Downloading to my phone now. This is reversible to a previous nandroid update without issues right? Since it's just boot and system img? Both which are backed up by nandroid. I'm already running 2.15 radio.

50% downloaded over Verizon 3G. Find it funny I'm downloading a leaked ROM over Verizon's network.
ARGGHHH!!!!! I HATE VERIZON RIGHT NOW.
Wife called so it switched to 1XRTT and stopped the data connection. Couldn't resume. There's 80MB down the tubes...starting over again.
ARGGHHH!!
So here's the million dollar question, did they fix the charging/battery drain issues?
Can you post just the radio update that is part of the RUU?
-Robert
is there any advantage of doing this the long way? via PB31IMG to update the Hboot to .92? I'm happy with the last leak at the moment but dont know how the hboot update will effect anything
flashing this as I type and will give follow up.
Thanks man. This makes things easy.
First off, I'd like to thank rmk40 for throwing this together as fast as he did.
And, just an honest question looking for an honest answer.

Yes. As soon as it's ready I'll provide two versions of the package -- one dexoded and one not.
Is it possible to host this elsewhere, for better download speeds?
To those who are running this:
What's the difference between this and the 8/1 leak? Other than the latter being deodexed.
Thanks!

[Q] BEST ROM with working FLASH PLAYER on cdma hero

Hey guys I'm a noob and sprint decided to give me a hero do to my defective noment I took it over the intercept because of the support here on XDA and I've been lookin around and I like but my question remains what's the best rom for the cdma hero that will still allow the flasplayer to work any ideas or ways to keep makin it work. THANX
Unfortunately, full flash support can not be achieved. There's a light version out there, but I don't know how well it works.

I believe Nfinite's Roms have Flash Lite, and then using a browser like Skyfire gives additional flash support as it deals with it server side.
Use Nfinites rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849024 there and then do a search for Zen's Any Kernal with no Perflock. It makes it an extremely snappy Sense Rom. Only Sense has the Flash working, none of the AOSP roms do I believe.
Only downside is Nfinite is on Hiatus due to some personal stuff but he has popped back in and said he isn't gone, just dealing with it and plans to update again soon.
my replyo
ok thanx so fo example even I port the flash light apk (htc flash player) can I at least use that on the aosp rom or the cm 6 or does they need the sense to even aollow it to work ? I just want to be ready to root asap when the hero arrives tomorow
You cannot use those functions in an AOSP rom, has to be with sense.
Ok one last thing before I do this once I get my recovery going and I'm rooted of course I do a data wipe then apply a zip (rom) file correct and if I want to try other roms repeat the proscces. Right just want to make sure. That's how I would do it on my moment

Yes you would go to recovery, do a factory reset, wipe Dalvik, Cache, etc and then you can flash the new zip for the rom you wish to try.
Most roms will have a sort of guide or instructions, some have things specific to the rom being flashed, so make sure and read the full post, and maybe browse the thread for tidbits that users have had to say about the rom.

[Q] wifi shows error after installing nameless rom

my apologies if this question has been asked before but since i couldnt find it anywhere so i am posting now:
this is my first time rooting an android device and that too coz recently my htc desire c had become super slow so i unlocked bootloader and downloaded the hasoon2000 tool but after the recovery step i was totally lost on how to flash kernel and all so i switched to superboot and i successfully rooted my phone.
now i wanted to install a rom so i chose nameless rom but the instructions were so confusing and i messed up. i couldn't install it and then my phn wnt start so i went back to hasoon2000 and flashed kernel using the boot.img from the nameless rom and my phn was back up but my wifi is not on anymore. its says error and i saw that my mac address was gone. then i tried again installing the rom and this time i did successfully install it but my wifi is gone
i have two questions:
1. how can i get my wifi back in this rom?
2. can i install any other rom and if i do then will i get my wifi back?

The 'method' to install any ROM is the same and its not difficult. And there is no such thing as a best rom. It's just personal preferences. So if you like HTC Sense, then go for Revolution or Sensational Rom. And if you like a more 'Nexus-like' feel then we've got a lot of JB Roms for you. JB ROMs are believed to be faster than Sense ROMs in general.
So just look at threads of the different ROMs and once you decide to install, download it. I'm running Cyanogenmod 10 right now. I've been using it for a long while now. It was the first JB rom made for this phone and all the other ROMs are made using this as a base..
We even have Samsung-like and Xperia-like Roms. So if you're interested in that, have a look.
And for Sense, Sensational ROM V4 is the most up to date ROM we have. It has a Sense 5 feel to it..
Hope that helps a bit. One more thing - never ask for best rom or best kernel. It's bad manners. But we can understand as you're new..

Flashing future official ROMs after unlock -

Hey guys! My apologies if this is a redundant question, but I just wanted to be sure:
If ASUS decides to actually put out an official KitKat update for this thing eventually, would I still be able to try it out / install it normally *after* I've unlocked?
If so, what exactly would be my procedure? Will I be blocked from getting or installing the OTA, or would the process be no different?
There's been some great progress it seems on custom ROMs for this thing. I'm a bit gun shy admittedly, as running custom ROMs on previous devices led to a lot of instability. I guess I want to ensure I'll still have the option to try out a future official build if I choose. Thanks in advance!
Sent from my K00C using Tapatalk
Yes you will definitely be able to update to KitKat once released. However you won't be able to get the OTA update automatically sent to ur tab once u unlock it. But its pretty simple to get it. After Asus has pushed the ota to devices, the also upload the firmware to their website. U would simple download that and place it in the root of ur internal SD, and reboot. Tab will recognize the update, and give u notification for installing it. And u continue with that. Very simple.
And as for the Roms , the cromix ROM is by far very stable ROM. I have tried it for very long time, and has no issues at all, and the plus side is u can do a lot of customizations yet the ROM still runs faster than stock. I strongly recommend cromix ROM.

This is not 100% true. The current official ROM will only flash with the stock recovery installed and not a custom one, so I would assume the same for any update.
It's not an issue to flash the stock recovery back but it will be an extra step.
Also if and when an official KitKat comes out you will more than likely have to wait until a new recovery is made that is compatible for a custom ROM after that.

And this is very likely 100% true.
I never understand why people are pining for the stock rom - no matter which version or update....
I would feel helpless and lost with only the stock recovery! Lately I've been trying to help several people on stock firmware with corrupted data, no custom recovery, no root, locked bootloader.... You're toast!
All you can do is send it in to Asus and pay a bundle! Whereas unlocked you just fire up fastboot or custom recovery and start to fix it!
Besides - once Asus releases a KK version for this tablet you can bet your.... house that sbdags will have a custom version of it out in no time. And it's going to be better than Asus firmware, receive frequent updates, can be flashed with a custom recovery....
A no-brainer IMHO

Guys I am actually stock at the moment but doubletap to wake up screen is the feature

As thick said, most custom kernels do come with double tap to wake, aka dt2w.
I'm assuming you know the procedure for rooting and flashing a ROM.
In order to get dt2w, first flash a ROM of choice. Boot up, and set it up according to your liking. Then, find a compatible kernel (we can help you with that), and flash that. Boot up again, make sure (in your phone's settings) that the kernel flashed successfully, then download a kernel tuning app like TricksterMOD and go into "Screen Wake Settings."
Note: some kernels may use AROMA, which lets you configure dt2w while flashing. The above should still apply if you want to change your settings later on.
Thick's ROM comes with it built in, but most other ROMs don't.
Happy flashing, and remember, ask twice, flash once.
I appreciate it!!
I rooted and played around with different Roms on my previous phones e.g. HTC Hero, NS4g, and Evo4G
but since my HTC one is still being updated via OTA officially I didn't proceed with rooting yet.
I really wanted DT2w feature and I don't think any update would give me that feature so that's why
I am thinking about rooting my phone. I really appreciate your help since you said you can help with
choosing a kernel please go ahead and suggest a good kernel and few feature rich/stable Roms.

Happy flashing, and remember, ask twice, flash once.

I would suggest SD 12 since it's on the latest base (.12, which has some important bug fixes) and it's relatively close to stock.
Along with that, I would suggest using ElementalX 18, which is one of the more easy Kernels to set up. It uses AROMA, so you don't have to download any apps to adjust your settings later. I had a good experience with the battery saving/thermal throttling/undervolting settings (you'll see those come up when you try to flash it). I don't recommend messing with the clock settings, however.
Wipe (default wipe in TWRP), flash ROM, boot, set up, go into recovery, flash kernel, reboot, wait, reboot again. That's the procedure I follow.
I appreciate it!!

I have finally rooted my phone and I am in process of trying different roms at the moment, I tried to flash the ElementX18 kernel on my stock rooted rom but the installation failed so Now I am going to install SD12 which you mentioned and then flash the ElementX18 kernel. Since you mentioned you had a good experience with thermal throttling/undervolting can you please give me safe or your values so I can give them a shot as well. Thank you

EX 18 is a 4.4.3 kernel, you probably used it on a 4.4.2 ROM. A 25 mV undervolt with "run cool" setting would be good.

Yes you are right I was trying it first on my stock rom which was 4.4.2 if I am not mistaken that was the last official OTA
update for me. I am on SD 12 ROM and EX18 Kernel at the moment and loving it. I tried SlimKat which was not bad but for some reason I couldn't fix the resolution of the screen everything was too small for me (icons, fonts etc). Latest Liquid Smooth didnt recognize my sim card so I had to move away from it. It seems like for now SD12 is going to be my daily driver.
In case if I want to give SlimKat another shot can I use EX18 on it or it's only a sense kernel? also SlimKat is 4.4.4 so what good kernel can you suggest which will give me DT2W option?

EX18 is sense only.
And sorry, I don't really know about nonsense stuff.
