First? And as far as I am aware, no Roms aside from jackpotcalvins cm are based on 4.4 source. At lest until the ota drops and people get caf figured out.

Ideally yeah. Only issue I've seen with people using the 24a radio on a non 4.4 ota base was rotation.
Give it a shot and let us know. I hear 24a gets better signal then 11a and 12b.
Worse case scenario if things get really wonky, you can just flash the 12b radio.

Thanks. I'm anxious to try the 24a radio in a location that struggles with signal. I have until Thursday to find a ROM that can use it. Will test drive this one asap.
Wait - I just really processed what you wrote. If I understand correctly, I could ostensibly flash and run the 24a radio on a stock 12B ROM????
Nope, just tested that and its a No Go; Bootloop City.

Other than being built with Linaro, what's the difference between this and C-Rom? Tried comparing change logs between the two but haven't seen much difference.

This looks pretty good! I'm still on stock debloated 4.2.2 so I'm going to wait for some reviews before I install this. Question, I'm using Dorimanx Kernel...does this ROM include a new kernel?

Loving this ROM so far, especially the red theming!

If it wasn't for that... I'd be on CM

I must second RR; AOKP was the most stable for me, but didn't have enough features, so RR is currently my daily driver.

[Modem] Kitkat Modems for AOSP [D80x] [Working Rotation]

4.4.2 Modems - Modified to fix rotation on AOSP / CM roms
As most users know KK modems do not have functional rotation in AOSP. I fixed the rotation in each modem so we can use the new basebands in AOSP. This currently does not work for VS980 modems. I will try to find a workaround.
Make sure to backup your EFS first. All the modems here have been confirmed working. Backup your EFS incase anything goes wrong you do not lose your IMEI.
Here is the backup thread by @autoprime
Downloads
D800
D801
D802 (Eur)
I do not know the difference between D802 modems. The modem was modified from here and works on EUR 802 phones.
D803
LS980
These modems are as is, if you have a problem or believe your signal is weaker for whatever reason, simply flash your old modem back. I cannot fix any random issues you may run into.
I put this thread in original development because this is the only place users would have a use for this. If a mod feels this is wrong feel free to move it.

I couldn't tell you exactly since we don't get changelogs for this type of stuff. I can only assume they made some optimizations since its newer, but to what exactly I can't say, I just know a lot of people are interested in using KK modems on aosp.

So far I'm pretty sure I've got better signal strength and a more solid lock. This might be placebo but I really do feel a difference.
I've often had to turn off WiFi in order to gain stability. This doesn't appear to be the case anymore.

I'm not sure myself, I've heard the D802 modem worked on many non eur devices. As long as you backed up your EFS it should be ok to try. (Make sure you know the current modem you are using also, or back it up)
edit : If the new HKG KK version was released, send me the new KK modem and I will fix and upload it in the OP, same goes for other modems

AT&T S5 Devs, do we have any?

Really curious to see if we have any Devs working on the AT&T S5 yet? If so, when do you all think we can expect to start seeing some stuff in the development threads? Obviously BL needs unlocking, if possible. Do we know of anyone working on this?
Thanks Guys!!!

Chainfire needs to the stock recovery to build root for the device, basically auto root by chainfire modifies stock recovery temporarily, flashes su then flashes back stock firmware through odin.

You can't pull recovery without root on your device, the only thing we ATT users can do is wait for Samsung to post the firmware which they havent, SM-G900A is the ATT model number, Tmo and Sprint are already up so they already have root.

hmm
Keep in mind guys that if the ATT BL is locked chances are CF Root will fail to flash or boot even if CF builds one for ATT...also if this happens knox warranty is tripped leaving you without warranty coverage and no root...likely a new KK exploit will have to be found...hope I'm wrong about the BL as I'd like to get rid of bloat before handing the phone off to GF..

That was a bug with 2.7 and stock ROMs. Seems like the larger the ROM, the more likely it was to happen. It was fixed with 2.7.1. But it had a screen timeout bug. I'd highly suggest dr87's custom 2.7.1, its built with his kernel, which fixed the screen timeout bug. Plus he added thermal control and knock on. Much better than stock TWRP

great choice, cloudyfa is a very great developer. i just wish he had a flex so we would be moving in some sort of direction.
@Cloudyfa he does some great work for the g2 i was using his cloudy g3 port on my g2. but our device doesnt have that much a difference flex we would just need people to test lets hope he has the time to spare to even work our device
It would be great to get the port for this phone because there is almost no development for it. This must be the slowest development out of all the phones I've had.

Developement is slow, because, Lg has locked down our devices and just recently we've finally gotten TWRP with much thanks to those bump guys. We have all been in your shoes complaining of no developement, but, have all settled down, because, we only have a couple devs, such as playfulgod and mattwheat. We do not have much people working on our device so its going to be a while before anything stable is released.
What i do is, root, install TWRP, grab a few things,.zip files from the g2 or g3 forums i find attractive and flash it. Install xposed and tweak my system a bit. After all a custom rom is just tweaked a bit with visuals.
If you are too lazy, learn developement and contribute to this community.

Well first we need to push development on our kernel whats the point of adding this patch if we can't get our kernel to work properly. Also it won't be a bad idea to have some g2 devs helps us out with the kernel; but yet again they(g2 devs) still use loki instead of bump so if they decide to jump on the bump wagon we would benefit alot. Nice find doe.
