Same problem here, but I'm able to remove any file with Root Explorer. Try it, it might work for you.

You need to be root for having writing permissions on the erternal SDCard.
But that's how it supposed to work with Android 4.4.2, google removed this permission...

this is so silly that we cant manage our sd card.why did they do this?
actually what can we do with our sd card in this rom?????:crying:

Unmount and then use a card reader on PC? Not sure if you're trying to delete from a inaccessible partition.

Use file commander
Use the stock app file commander. starting from kitkat, any 3rd party file explorer/manager will not have permission to write on sdcard. only stock system app like the file commander have write access to sdcard

Right, also you can just connect your phone in USB in MSC (mass storage) mode and remove yourself what you don't want anymore, it's what i actually do.

For me there was only one Solution that really worked. Unfortunatelly i cant remember its exact name. So i ll try to describe it.
There are two almost the same tools. First one is testdisk and the another ones name i am not sure. So try google testdisk for (recover, undelete) sd card or so, then google how to use it. It is a commandprompt-like tool, but quite simple to use.
Hope i helped sorry for my english.
I highly recommend testdisk.
Use easy recovery professional

You can root the phone if you haven't done so already and use the app undelete to recover lost files.
Or you can mount the phone in mass storage mode from the settings in xperia then usb connectivity.
Press thanks if I have helped

Mounting in mass storage only displays my SD card, which i dont want to recover files from.
I really need the internal storage to be shown without it being wrapped up in the header 'Xperia Z' so it can be detected by the recovery 3rd party software i have on my PC. My phone is already rooted by the way.. and the app undelete only supports external SD cards.. which is exactly what i dont need ..
Use another file recovery program, some support right clicking in a folder to recover files. For example back2life by grandutils
Press thanks if I helped

not true .. installed it, it also works by disk detection, did not detect phone..
If you want to mount a certain part as a disk try android commander.
Press thanks if I have helped you
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
It may be difficult since I doubt MTP will allow recovery tools to function properly, plus, the device doesn't let you mount internal storage in mass storage for obvious reasons.

[Q] No access to internal memory after installing infiniROM

For some reason I can't access anymore the internal memory, directly or via a PC after installing infiniROM. Any ideas why?

because of swap, internal memory is a part of data partition and it will be used for apps and games only, not for files like music or pictures..if you want to use it for files flash the stock rom again.
I understand, but in my case, I need to put some files in one of the installed program's folder (igo). How can I do that?

With a root-explorer like ES-Filexplorer
I'm trying, but I'm not able to find the program's folder. Actually, I can't find any installed program files. Any idea in which folder I should look?
In Android/data/ or data/data/ e.g.
via Razr I & Tapatalk 4
I have no folder Android, and the folder Data on root(device) is empty.
Which fileexplorer do you use?
I use Dateimanager. Don't know how this App is called in your country
I guess filemanager in english

I use ES File Explorer. I found the folder Android/data on sd card, but still not the desired folders inside:
Did you try the search-function included in ES?
via Xoom 2 & Tapatalk 4
I tried now to search for "igo" or "orux", but with no success...
Did you try to install this app again?
via Razr I & Tapatalk 4
I did not, but it's not only about this particular app, I think I have 40 apps installed, which folders should be accessible.
if you've installed the apps, look for them in
internal storage/Android/data
or
internal storage/data
or go to system root:
system root/data/media
this is the old 'internal storage' folder, you should be able to find the Android folder in there, which should contains the installed user apps data.
I am not able to find something called internal storage. In the storage folder I have only sdcard0, which is the external sdcard.
On system root/data folder is empty
Did you try to install this app again?
via Razr I & Tapatalk 4
Yes I did, but with no result.
I would suggest you to make a clean reinstall of the infiniROM. Maybe something got broken...
I reinstalled it but it's the same, so I gave up and installed a different ROM

TWRP Backup Location

Like the title says, where is the TWRP backup location? When using a file explorer I don't have the folder for TWRP, I wanted to move the backup off my phone but can't access it.

TWRP seems to be tricky on the Moto X. Boot into recovery and mount it from there, and then you should be able to see the folder from your computer.

/data/media/0/TWRP/BACKUPS
Do you know why it saves the backups in there? Some apps like Nandroid can't find its path, do you know how to solve it, mate?
Copy the twrp folder at data/media/0/TWRP to storage/emulated/0/TWRP and change permissions to chmod 777 (rwxrwxrwx)

You can use the command line in a shell or use a app like root explorer, long press on the folder and you will see permissions in the list, go into there and change accordingly

Tried that but the app couldn't change the permissions.

You need to set registry keys to get this work
I don't know about your phone software drivers and specifications . Surely other developers may don't know
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\WiFiConnSvc\Parameters\Config]
"EnableStaticIP"=dword:1

I've never even heard of your phone model. If you can pull some manufacturer apps for me, though, I may be able to find a way. Here's what I need:
Any .XAP files included in the file system, if possible. (Use the Filesystem browser of my webserver app to look, especially in the \Windows and \Windows\System32 folders)
Any Store apps from your OEM. (If your phone's Store app has a dedicated section under Categories - something like "HTC Apps" or "Lumia Collection" - I can check those)
Any OEM apps you can get off the phone directly. (Easiest way, if you have an SD card, is to use Storage Sense to move the OEM apps to the SD card, then unlock the WPSystem folder and use something like Aerize Explorer to copy the apps out)
Does the phone launch anything interesting if you try to call numbers like ##634# (MFG) or ##3424# (DIAG)?
Alternatively, if your phone has an SD card, you can probably use the chamber hijacking techniques and replace an app like Preview for Developers; there's a registry editor app on the store (Root Tools) that uses this technique. I think the key you're trying to write to is one of the ones that P4D's chamber has write access to.
