No. It works just fine for 5s with 1 hand. No problem for me

Thanks guys for your help. Waiting for my s5 as well. Thanks!
Sent from my SM-P605 using Tapatalk

well i tried both fingerprint scanner
the s5 one was much better and it can detect your fingerprint a little faster
but the 5s one is easier to use because you dont need to swipe your finger only that (well i placed my finger bad when i was setting the touch id up )

Double Tap unlock G2

Anybody wanting the double tap wake screen feature. It is cool! Not to use a button.
But will it make a big power lost with this function?
Hoping some dev to port it to AOSP
There's an app called touch control that unlocks with double tap but doesn't lock it. As for battery it doesn't really do much to battery m.

I would love this function as an app. Genius! Would make owning a giant phone easier.
Double tap to wake has been around since the galaxy nexus with touch control. LG probably stole the idea from that dev.

Yes i see this first on nokia n9
What the G2 has is a limited version of touch control by bponury, an app that is pure awesome.

I just started using the touch control app, good for waking up the phone, I would like to have the gesture, where you swipe up from the bottom of the screen, where it wakes up and unlocks like the BB Z10

Fingerprint sensor

Hello everyone!
I found something interesting with the fingerprint sensor today, so I thought I share it.
I held the phone upside down swiped down with my registered fingers and they got recognised!
All the fingers I registered got recognised.
Not only that it recognised much better!
So I re-registered all my prints while the phone is held upside down, so when in correct orientation, the fingers will be recognised even better!
So much happier. Love my Note 4. [emoji16]

I like the way a device which we paid a lot makes us turn upside down to work as it should. You should not be happy about it IMHO ☺ though I can count meself happy owning this device, I regret not getting an ip6 from time to time.

Ip6? Booooo. With 5.1.1 hopefully our beast phone can be a beast again! From the looks of Russian 5.1.1 review (YouTube) it doesn't have any new features apart from performance improvement. But still good!

That's interesting I'm gonna test that on my N910C.
Lol. This actually works. U can swipe pretty quick and it still registers! Wtf! Lol. But this is pretty neat discovery. Basically u just hold the phone upsidedown while u register fingers. Thats only one timr thing.
Then u can use it normally when u unlock.
Thanks for this thread. Very helpful.
I've been a, "it always works for me" person when people complain about the fingerprint scanner. I didn't thought it was people not doing it right.
I just tried this and, wow! It really does make it better. I barely even had to touch the scanner with my finger.
Guys, did you try to use a non-registered finger when unlocking? lol just a thought

No. There's no hardware for that.

no, not with our touchscreen tech.

Enable home key touch?

Is there a way to make home key respond to touch instead of press? That would be awesome.
Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
No, that's not possible.
Too bad :/ I had it on iPhone 6 via jailbreak.

I assume this is just a ROM/kernel/libs issue and should be theoretically possible for the hardware if given full/open source from Samsung, right? Not that I'm expecting that, but just want to better understand the limitations. Cheers.

Is my phone broken? Ambient display nor DTTW work reliably.

Is there something wrong with my phone. Doesn't matter what rom I use I can't get a reliable DTTW or ambient display.. Also "OK GOOGLE" always on is unreliable.
I just want those 3 features to work consistently.

I'm on 6.0 and ok google is still unreliable.

works perfect here, with screen on or off.
Especially in my car via Bluetooth. It's terrible.

maybe its too noisy or has issues hearing you through your bluetooth.
Sometimes it works just fine in the same conditions and others I have to unlock the phone for it to work. It's like when the screen is off for more than 5 minutes it stops listening for "ok google" and that's the most convenient feature in the car.

i agree with you, that is a very feature. tell me, are you using a custom rom or kernel? do you have root? to me, right now, it sounds luke your phone isnt waking from "doze". you are on m?
I am using chroma. With whatever kernel that rom is built with.
