What is NamelessROM?
NamelessROM Gerrit Review
What is NamelessROM ?
Simple - NamelessROM is opportunity.
An opportunity to have a voice to the development team of the after-market firmware that you run on your device.
The main goal of NamelessROM is to provide quality development for android devices, phones and tablets alike.
NamelessROM developers are available nearly 24/7 and respond to bug reports and feature requests almost instantly.
This availability will allow you, the end-user, to have direct input into exactly what features and functions are included on the firmware that YOU run.
NamelessROM maintains features and functions of several well-known open-source, AOSP-based ROMs, as well as many features of our own.
See the screenshots in the 3rd post, and visit our website for more detailed information.
NamelessROM = endless possibilities. Unless you have an iPhone, then you're out of luck.

About the kernel
The current HOMEMADE version uses the kernel provided by twa_priv.
The NIGHTLY builds still use the kernel provided by kasper_h. The V1.09 build is a test if the new kernel shows advantages over Mackay kernel.
This ROM features the Mackay kernel (it is a kernel named ICS_2014, because kasper_h worked on this kernel for stock ICS and CM9 as well).
The zram code has been optimized (based on google advice for low-RAM devices) and is enabled by default.
kasper_h also improved the OC code and changed voltages.

Problems & tips for performance
What does NOT work?
There are graphical glitches.
Although they mainly have been solved there seem to be some remaining issues with hwcomposer that may crash the tab.
HD movies (in e.g. youtube) may stutter

Smoothness advice:
Go to performance settings:
Overclock CPU (Do this at your own risk!)
Keep governor on Interactive
Set minimum speed to 400MHz (credits for this tip goto Jaegermeiste)
Go to developer settings:
Activate "Force GPU rendering"
Active "Disble HW-overlays"
Set background process limit to 4 processes
(if performance/developer options are not yet shown, go to settings>about and press build number 7 times)
-> Thanks to all forum members contributing to this list
-> Do it at your own risk!
-> Don't complain about limited battery life (ROW+interactive+1000MHz leads to better battery life for sure)

Some other tips:
For improvement of sound quality, you can use Viper4Android
For more volume only, SpeakerBoost is earier to use
For netflix, head over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49208063&postcount=445
To be able to use Flash player, use a browser that doesn't use the kitkat browser engine (e.g. firefox can be used).
Download flash player from adobe website (thanks to AAccount for finding out!).
If you can't see your internal SD on PC: Go to Settings -> Storage -> 3 dot menu -> tick MTP.
If Google Voice Search crashes: Under the Google now settings select voice options and tick the box next to Bluetooth headset. This will prevent Google now from crashing. (credits to Olivier V)

Disclaimer:
I was compiling several ROMs for Samsung Galaxy devices.
With KitKat coming up I was able to maintain my ROMs for the S4, but was not successful with a ROM for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500).
Thanks to the incredible support of kasper_h I was able to take over his work and create this KitKat ROM for the tablet!
Unfortunately he discontinued the work on this ROM because he will move on to a more advanced tablet.
I wish him great success with his new tablet and want to thank for his work for the 10.1 tablet!
With kasper_h agreement I take over and will maintain future updates of this ROM.

Was afraid our tab was doomed with Kasper buying a new one ( wich I can totally understand offcourse)
Going to try it!!

Nice! Thanks for taking over BeeGee. It seems our development forum is not dead just yet.

Great job Sir! And the saga continues
Im still using the kasper build but changed the bootanimation to a lighter one. So far so good..

Thanks a lot dude!!!!!

Great to see our tab still gets some love

Welcome back beegee, you cannot believe how much i appreciate it that you take over this amazing ROM from Kasper, for a second i thought that the development for this tab was dead, i like the latest features and was looking for a new tab, or at least... Dreaming of... ( because of some money issues i'm not able to buy a new tablet at the moment)
I really appreciate it, thank you

Thank you for taking over development. We really appreciate it!
Sent from my SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

This is great news! I only just started using this ROM a few days ago and I love it. Okay, it still isn't as smooth as my nexus 7 2013, but this ROM is very promising and I'm glad someone took over where kasper_h left off
Sent from my GT-P7510 KK 4.4 Nameless using xda app-developers app

Great news...

BeeGee, good to be with you again. I was "moved" to Kasper due to the lack of CM features.
I've followed him from PAC, Omni and recently with Nameless.
Great work

Bee_Gee
Thanks for picking up from Kasper.
I have installed over Kasper's 23rd build and so far no problems. Will report if I encounter any.
Cheers.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!

Wow i just installed Mokee on my nexus 7 yesterday and man it was so smooth! I think i just found a reason to unlock my bootloader
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2
I have tried this one out. Looks really nice, but I couldn`t get the keyboard to work.
logcat coming soon
Here it is: But I haven' t found anything related to the keyboard in the logcat
http://pastebin.com/dCpWRp41
But to describe this problem a little bit:
If you wanted to input text into a field the sound-input-app opens and not the keyboard-app. If you wait some seconds a window appears where you could switch to the keyboard, but it doesn`t open and you get no error-messages at all. So I think that the keyboard.apk has been lost during your compile-process
That line might be related:
Code:
I/InputMethodManagerService( 755): No default found, using com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/com.google.android.voicesearch.ime.VoiceInputMethodService
So yes, the keyboard is missing
Yes. Slight problem with keyboard, only voice input available , difficult to put an email in vocally

I really appreciate it......

Theme chooser is working well
If you have problem with busybox go to settings - developer option - root access - set to app and adb
If you still have problem u might have to install ROM from scratch with complete wipe

No, it got stuck on Samsung Splash. Trying out boot.img from carbon rom now, carbon booted for me but had no mobile network, maybe this works for me.

yes, but you have the US TMO g900t while i have the international g900f version.
Odd. I'd think it'd be the other way around since this is an international ROM. Did you check your APNs?

î cannot save APNs if i type them in. I get Baseband and IMEI unknown stuff. I also think its odd that i have CDMA settings at the mobile network settings even though i have a GSM phone. I also already tried to take a quick efs backup from stock firmware and restore it on MoKee but i had no success, still no mobile network / data. It doesnt even ask me for a pin code, it just displays empty signal bars in the status bar. Super odd.

What is this?
This is CyanogenMod 12.1 (based on pawitp CM12.1) with many features from the well known CM12.1S/Cyanogen OS 12.1 and CM11S made for the OnePlus One. All Apps are successfully ported from CM12S for the i9100 Galaxy S2, Quick Boot funktion is working very well and much more (read at features). The OnePlus One has a great Rom and why not giving the features to you all? That's the great reason why there is now CM12.1S for the S2.
The Rom has all features from Official CM12.1 and much more features are added, too.
I am the Maintainer and Developer of this Rom, but my work is based on Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 from pawitp
For more Inforamtion about the Rom visit the Official Google Plus Community!
Features:

- Use your Kernel Config App to improve battery (I can help you with this!)
More are coming as soon as I know more
Other Information:
- Please refrain from talking about other kernels than stock. We can't track every kernel and it's problems, hence, you're using other kernels at your own risk. Please don't report bugs while you're using custom kernels. Only Kernel with help is stock and Apollo Kernel Version 8 Beta 9 or newer!
- At the moment, this project is considered: BETA. All core functions should work, ROM shouldn't have any critical issues, but it's still not ready to mark as stable. However, it should work properly as daily driver.
- Official Google Plus Community for better support and help!
- To keep up or improve the support on this thread, I had an idea.
Every week I will give the person with the most thanks on a reply on this thread for helping a free android game. You can choose between two different games. These Apps are legal and have all funktions from a bought version from Google Play. Maybe some persons are interested and will help the community for this rom a bit more I will also give you a thanks on a reply when I think it was usefull.
When I should forget it one week, just send me a message.
I will also try to answer all your questions, when I can.
So please give thanks to other users if they gave useful answers!
Thanks for being part in our group
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications,
and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device,
I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.

Older Versions:
No old versions yet!
Q&A:
Q: Can I dirty flash CM12.1S over Unofficial CM12, CM11 older versions or other Roms?
A: No! You will get many many Force Closes, Bugs, and much more. Don't do this!
Q: Can I install this rom on i9082L?
A: yes
Q: How to get root access back or is this rom not rooted?
A: This rom is rooted, please enable Developer Options (Tap 7 times on build number in about phone), go to it and enable root access. You can enable there also the Quick Boot feature.
If you don't want to use CM's root access, please flash SuperSu in recovery.
Q: Rom installation/update failed, why?
A: TWRP Recovery is highly recommended for use! CWM is out of date and not made for Android 5.X! So try again with this Recovery by flashing the Kernel after the Rom. When it still does not work to UPDATE, try again with a Clean Flash!
Q: My battery isn't that good and the phone laggs a bit.
A: See more at "How to improve Battery" in OP Thread.
Q: I dont have any Cyanogen OS 12 Apps and my phone looks like unofficial CM12.1 not Cyanogen OS12
A: You have forgotten to flash the Cyanogen OS 12 apps, mentioned in OP Thread
More are Coming Soon!

When you would do a delta update, maybe some cyanogen os apps from the flashable zip made by me would get lost, also quick boot feature etc could get lost. I need Testers, maybe it will work, maybe not.
Nice.
A new rom to try.
Thanks, will try it when all has been uploaded

Please take a look at the Q&A section.
You have just installed normal Cyanogenmod 12.1 with my build.prop tweaks to improve the battery and performance, to get the apps and bootanimation and more you have to flash the second file which I will upload soon. I am fixing some last problems and then I will upload the zip, which includes the apps and bootanimation and deletes some unnecessary apps.

You have to try, when this would be possible I would have to delete my rom, because it would be unnecessary.

SlimRom is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and Gerrit.
SlimLP is currently in alpha stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and would come with time. Stay tuned!
WARNING: INSTALLATION OF ANY CUSTOM ROM [AND EVEN OFFICIAL FIRMWARE] CAN BE DANGEROUS. DON’T DO ANYTHING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU DO.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TRANSFORM YOUR L90 INTO A BRICK
In this thread i assume that your device is "custom ROM friendly" - i'm not gonna write another guides how to remove bootloader, install custom recovery - find it by yourself

Hello.
This supposed to be only test builds for my usage. I shared links (without separate thread), but some users PMed me to create that thread.
Do not expect frequent updates, i even didn't test those builds thoroughly (against my own rules).
But maybe someone will find this ROM(s) useful and nice.
I love SlimRoms. They do an outstanding job at keeping everything minimal, with a very low memory footprint. Glad it was compiled, I was actually just thinking about starting a thread for Slim. I'm going to test your build out at some point, just to see how it runs on this device

I almost forgot about that build
It has last ultima kernel version (so problems with overheating may occur). Without any of optimizations, just the first build... I tested it for a very short time. It's a good base for further work for sure
Edit: i love slim ROMs since 4.2.2 versions
I got to play with this ROM for a little while earlier on my D415. It ran great, and aside from the typical bugs, the only thing I noticed, was that I couldn't access a recents menu. I think I might just have to compile SlimRoms, since you will be mainly focused on RR, and won't be able to provide frequent updates. The L90 could really make use of the minimalistic approach

Hmm interesting, not even long-pressing the home button worked? I suppose you can remap the menu button to recent to solve the issue

Yea that was my best guess. But no, long press of home button did nothing. Reboot wouldn't fix the issue either

I think it's connected to the fact that i disabled some overlays (hardware keys) due compilation errors. There supposed to be submenu to enable recents i think
Short changelog:
- Slim Recents are back
- Navigation bar options restored
- Sanders kernel (colonel) instead of ultima (somehow bit laggy on my settings)
- Hardware buttons menu restored
- SlimPie
- Ambient Display / doze implemented (not tested, may not work at this stage) [edit: not working]
- more
Man, I'm currently building SlimLP for w7. I really didn't see your thread about this ROM. Should I make another thread or post it here? Because I think I'll update it often...

I really don't know man 'cause I compiled it using android_device_lge_w7ds repo and not only w7. If my thoughts are fine, I think w7ds is D405/n/410/415 and w7 is only D405/n. Right?

I see no problem in having two independent threads for the same ROM.
There is much space for making it very different...
However, disclaimer time (to all):
Do not expect that I'll answer any development-wise questions or help in any other way. If your PM stays unanswered for 2-3 days, I'll not answer it at all (probably). Why? Doesn't matter, thank some other devs, they know how helpful they are (at least some of them)
stuck on PIN window
Hi, just came here by to test a ROM and got some weird glitch with no "OK" button on PIN verification window. I could enter PIN code, could delete it, could enter emergency mode, but there's no "OK" button to pass it
Before installing SlimRom i did all possible format/wipe in CWM (came from CarbonRom).
New build, new place

I'll make better changelog later...
BUILD 2 [2015-05-31]
* Slim sources update [up to 2015-05-31]
- ROM version upgraded -> Alpha 0.3
- Fixed Slim Recents on Home button longpress
- Navigation bar submenu restored
- Hardware buttons menu restored
- SlimPie Added
- Ambient Display / doze implemented
* Device Source update [up to 2015-05-31]
* Ultima Kernel replaced with KernelSanders (bit laggy on my settings)
* Compiled with default Toolchain (kernel) and Sabermod TC 4.8 (ROM)
TO DO:
- change toolchain to something higher than 4.8.3
- upgrade kernel base to 3.4.107
- add some functionalities to kernel.
I don't want to make second ultima kernel from KernelSanders, so i plan adding only minor updates. And some fixes, when we find something out.
