Ordering from Seidio? Get 10% off! - One (M8) Accessories

Hello,
Just thought I'd post this to help those out who are ordering a case from Seidio. I just ordered the Seidio Surface with Kickstand: http://www.seidioonline.com/htc-one-m8-surface-kickstand-case-black-p/csr3htm8k-bk.htm
Unfortunately, most of their cases for the M8 are still "Under development," but I need a case and a kickstand is not negotiable, need something to use as my alarm clock.
Use Promo Code: TW10 for 10% off your order on their site (I guess this is their Twitter Follower discount code.)

Here's a really good youtube of it. Looks great!

I'd love to see you do a review or a few high quality pics. I looked at a video of the M7 case and the kickstand was a huge carbuncle on the back. On their site it looks smooth, but I'd rather see a real one in action.

Will do! I had a Seidio for my HTC One X and it was awesome despite the kickstand not allowing you to charge the device (I modified it, and flipped it around to allow this) But since the ports are different on the One M8 it shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully this case is just as reliable as the last one, which saved my phone a few times from unintended drops.

Thanks. What colour did you get?

NP! Black. I'm a pretty standard color kind of guy. :silly:

I just got the blue, and the colour is really nice. What the photos don't show is it has a pearlescent finish, and is a nice soft touch finish as well. The fit is great too as the above linked youtube shows. Yes it's relatively big money, but definitely a quality piece. My only knock is the kickstand does sit way off the phone like a carbuncle. They should find a way to better integrate it in the design.

P.S. how did you get s-off? Did you have to beg mama HTCDEV for permission to do what you wanted with your $700 device?

Don't know what cases you are on about but the advice I would give you this:
If you intend to use the phone in the case all the time then the design that you should go for is one that leaves the whole face of the HD2 open to you otherwise you will have problems operating the phone.
Alternatively go for a case where you can take the phone out to use; however make sure the case completely holds the phone in securely when its in there.
SuperEtrader were selling a belt pouch where you could not even close the flap when the phone was in it. They claimed it was HD2 compatible.
Finally, having bought 5 cases now, you get what you pay for......

i have just bought one of these for work. very good quality for the money. my only complaint is that the hard-buttons can sometimes get pressed and cause the fone to wake, depending on where you have it on you and what you are doing.
all-in-all, a good pouch.

try this for a Pouch instead of a case? thinking of getting it. with the hd2 having similar dimensions to the iphone try some of the cases for that as their is millions of them
HD2 = 121 x 67 x 11 mm
Iphone 3G = 115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3 mm
Im looking for something which the phone constantly stays in, which can be opened via a flap like thing, which isnt bulky.
thanks though

Case Review: REVEAL by Griffin Technologies

I've been on the hunt for a really slim, lightweight case for my Incredible. I have the white HTC battery cover, so I was hoping for something like the iPhone "bumper" cases that allow the back to show through. Since there doesn't seem to be much in that department, I went hunting for the closest thing: the REVEAL by Griffin Technologies.
I really really like it, and couldn't find any other discussion of it, so I did a quick video review, and also took some close-up photos. I promise this isn't an ad, I actually do love this case!
Griffin sells it for $24.99, but you might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else.

You just sold me on this so hard. Buying right now. Looks amazing with the white back, I can't wait to show it off finally, haha.
Oh by the way, check it out all. Found a coupon code if you order direct from Griffin Technology's website. The code is PIRILLO1510, it seems to have been active for a few months and you get 15% and free shipping. I can confirm it works. Hope this will help someone else out.

For those who have bought this case,
How rubbery is the black part of the case? Is there plenty of flex to easily hit all the buttons? Does it feel solid or cheap?

Matte Case Review

I recently ordered a Matte TPU case from a seller on ebay in Hong Kong. I like giving my phone some color on occasion but nothing overbearing or ugly. I dont like the clearish TPU cases with patterns because unless you get it in black or white (clear), the color looks awful to me against the black phone. So i decided to give the matte ones a go and i love it. The only down side is that i wish the buttons werent covered at all, it makes them a bit more sensitive but at least they arent hard to press and i suppose i could just cut it out. For now it doesnt really bother me.
I doubt these cases will provide much shock protection from a bad drop but i think they look good and are extremely slim. I went from using the Amzer to this and my phone feels naked now lol. Ill switch back and forth for when i feel like i need better protection. It feels great in my hand and slides easily in and out of my pocket. The plus about this case is that it doesnt have that hideous random red tramp stamp strip on the back like majority of the matte TPU cases. Im extremely anal about how my phone looks so that was a h*ll no. Also, youll see in the pic below that the front edges are a bit shiny, they arent matte like the back and i guess it adds something to the design. The material covering the buttons is the same thats around the edges. So if you wanted to attempt at cutting and freeing them from confinement, you already have an outline.
The seller i purchased from is out for the Chinese New Year but i think it says they will resume sales on the 11th or 12th. I purchased on the 23rd of January and got it on the 7th so thats pretty average wait time coming from HK.
I also tried out the "S" case that has a thread here in the forum, and way too snug for my liking and i didnt like the gloss next to the matte, so if anyone wants it i can mail it to you or its going in the trash. (i got it in black.)
Here are two pics, sorry i dont have one of it on the actual device but the best camera i own is....my Nexus lol. The itouch fails miserably at a decent photo. And yes remember it is flexible...

Hope thats somewhat helpful!

Then dont buy one. It was a couple bucks maybe? Its not like there are tons of cases out there that are worth the money so a little on the cheap side doesnt bother me. I wanted plain, slim, and color and thats what this is. I think its hard to avoid a "cheap" look when you spend 4 bucks on a TPU case. But anyway, thats what the review is for...to help you decide if you want one or not.

i actually got this case in white. It's actually a very good case for $1 and change. It is very slim. I love it. The buttons are easier to push then the ones on the amzer case.
Definitely worth the $1!!!

FlyGrip a necessity?

I am surprised no one has posted about this as of yet.
QBKing77's youtube channel has a video review of this "contraption".
Currently there is a deal where you get a free TPU case (i think thats what it is called) with the purchase of a $30 FlyGrip.
He also mentions how you get a discount by using his name at the checkout.
I am almost convinced to get one, but would like your input on this.
Check out this video where he discusses the flygrip (somewhere in there).

I've been using it for about a week now, and haven't regretted that decision. It's definitely a must if you're using your N2 a lot with single hand. I'm still waiting for Aduro case to release their awesome kickstand case that they had for the GSIII:

I've been on the fence with this since i saw a video review of these a few weeks ago. I am horrible about ordering things online. I search the heck out of them and then never buy anything. I really like to see things in person.
I really like the idea though. Seems like it would really make the phone more comfortable for me. I have the flip cover and i usually have one finger between it and the back of my phone which gives me a pretty secure grip but after a few minutes my poor finger starts to feel smashed back there.
Maybe i should just break down and go for it. I could use the free case for testing the mod for using a tpu case with the flip cover.
So indecisive....

Too bad they had super expensive shipping to Sweden
Sent from a big Note 2
I got one. The guy is real easy to deal with. I had to swap mine from white to black since Tmobile had no white Note2s. He did it without issue. I carried my phone for a week w/o the clip and now about a week with the clip. I find its a nice bonus. I mostly use it when I'm relaxing and holding the phone at odd angles. Its great for that, very secure. In day to day use I don't really use it since my TPU case has really good grip already.
I had my phone for almost a week before I got my flygrip. In my opinion it makes the phone much easier to use one handed. I have maybe slightly above average hands and I can reach the whole screen easier with it. The stand feature is very nice too. I have mine on a body glove and feel extremely confident I have a very secure grip on my phone when using it. Weird angle gripping is much easier as well. I would recommend one for the GNII 100%
Regurgitated From My Giant Note II
What time curious about is how easy it is to transfer between cases or devices. I saw a video of somebody removing the FlyGrip and it looked to be some super adhesive material.
How resuable is it exactly?
Edit: Took a closer look and looks like you could grab a pack of 3 replacement adhesives. Was really excited for it despite the price since you could say it's justified with the TPU case throw in....but unfortunately the shipping code "QBKING77" is limited only to the States. Really disappointed since I'll have to pass just based on the shipping costs.

I had one on my Sensation, and am awaiting new adhesive, but I LOVE my Flygrip. Thing is simply amazing. I didn't think that I would get 30 bucks worth out of thin cheap plastic, but I've been sorely tempted to pickup a second one for my tablet. Also, they have pretty good customer support, I've called three times, and it's always the same guy that answers. I actually prefer this to the kickstand cases because of the one handed grip support. I can't text on my bike without it, especially with this phone. I'll upload a couple pictures as soon as I get my sticky backs

I just took mine off of my Sensation, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It took some forcing to actually begin to remove it, as it is really pretty damn strong, but once I got it separated from the old case it was simple enough to just rub the remaining residue away. It does leave a very clean rectangle on whatever case you put it on after removal lol.

So emailed FlyGrip with some questions. Response was very quick, not to mention a nice surprise with the great customer service!
" .... Additional tape provided”, are there extra adhesive tapes in each FlyGrip package? Or that we would have to buy the pack of 3 if we were interested in replacements?

Flygrip comes with (1) extra adhesive. So after you remove it, you can put the new adhesive on.* "Some" people try using the existing adhesive.* It depends on how sticky it still is.* We recommend to use a new one, but sometimes the adhesive is sticky enough to reuse.* We sell (3) packs for $2.47.

Also, a shot in the dark but I'm wondering if you do happen to have any promotions going on for international shipping (namely to Canada) as the FlyGrip was something I was immediately excited for, only to see the cost of shipping.

Love my FlyGrip. I enjoy knowing I'm not going to drop the phone, but I really purchased it because I'm an ex-EVO user and knew I'd miss the kickstand. I use it as a kickstand whenever the phone isn't in my pocket. Right now I'm using the free case that was included, but I'll take it off in a few weeks. I usually don't go for bold colors, but got the blue kickstand and a royal blue case. Nice looking.
He has lots of videos on the site to help with making a decision. Oh, no, it doesn't add bulk, it's only 1/4" deep. USA made and the packaging is very good looking, would make a great gift.
I think it's a smarter decision to look at these.

The only problem is that you will not get the wireless charge anymore. With that metal piece on the back.
And i you read comment, you loose fingerprint unlock on front screen... Too much inconvenient for me.
I ordered the Vivo case with the phone. Quite happy with the protection and it doesn't add a lot of weight - the phone is already heavy enough!

this is what i got. i didn't like the front frame, so i removed it. it blocks the bezel. you see, there are functions nowadays (such as sideapp menu, back button) that require user's finger to hold the very tip of the screen for half a second before the menu popups. then again, without that frame you may damage your front screen if it falls. secondly, the stand in the back requires a hard surface in order to hold it stilll. then again, i wouldn't say this is a bad case overall. but it has its flaws. the rest i am satisfied. the material, the durability, it fits well and it covers the side well.
