Press and hold on the pop up doesnt do anything and takes me nowhere.
Ive seemed to narrow it down to which app could be causing it though. its ZDlock app which i use to lock some apps that cant be accessed without a pin entered.
Does anyone know of any other apps to lock certain apps as this zdlock seems to be bloated with spyware.

Low memory

I know I ain't doin something right, cause I ALWAYS got the "low on space" indicator on my information bar. I try the clear this n that cache things but now its always on. Can't get text msgs, SUCKS! When I clear a data thing on apps, it just starts me all over every time. Like when I clear the data in the BROWSER , every file that came from the browser, gone, Google preferences and settings, defaults. Any help or suggestions? (I'm not rooted)
Now I'm so broke i can't even pay attention!

IM READY TO TOSS THIS JUNK OUT THE FREAKIN' WINDOW ON THE FREEWAY! TOO MANY LITTLE ISSUES KEEP EVOLVING AND I DONT HAVE THE PATIENTS (AND/OR KNOWLEDGE) TO DEAL WITH THIS THING! Sorry, but its just gettin worse and worse the more I use it. Example: so far, its taken me 17min just to text to this point with all the multiple touching for each letter and then DEL all the i's and n's when touching the j exactly in the same spot Iv been since I got it. Nothing is where it used to be, its like let me press something/anything and try guessing what's gona come up. And trying to long press on a/any web page to get the options menu, FORGET IT! If I plainly long press, the page jitters up n down wildly till I let off, so I been forced to start using the dreaded trackball. OMG, all the rolling and rolling to move ΒΌ inch, f-me hard! Memory always full, rejecting my msgs, having to uninstall an app to make space for a msg. The GO BACK arrow button gets pressed by a ghost all the time. Can't reduce 86.25mb in browser app without losing something important. Total time typing this- 49min! Its not my zio, its me.
Now I'm so broke i can't even pay attention!

[Q]How does one disable "My Magazine"?

I have gone through my AT&T Note 3 thoroughly and disabled most bloat.
I am finding the "My Magazine" app quite annoying due to single clicks of home button while on home screen and accidental upward swipes.
I have yet to figure out how to uninstall or disable it yet.
Does anyone know how?

I think until root is achieved if you cant disable it in app manager if you use a third party launcher it stops it from activating

Open My Magazine, hit your menu key, settings, you can turn off the option to open it via the home button... Unfortunately not with swipe up though. It seems like swiping is more difficult to open it anyway so it's less annoying.

is there any way to start the my magazine as an app and put on my home screen etc?
i cannot seems to find it in the app draw
I don't understand why they have this and flipboard. It is basically the same thing with a different interface and less customization.
It's annoying as hell for me because I already have flipboard as a damn widget. What's worse is you can't even put your flipboard account on there.

Semi Solution
In a search on another thread to find a solution for getting to the home screen or home page without pressing the home button, user Dankchild provided this app:
Swipe Home Button Free
It creates a small area at the bottom of the screen where you can swipe up and it will take you home (or another custom action you set). You have to swipe from a little off the bottom of the screen up, and the magazine action is still there if you start on the screen, but since installing this and getting used to swiping from the bottom starting off the screen, I haven't opened the magazine application once. Not a fix but it is working great for me and killing two birds with one stone!
I'm looking for the same thing-a way to disable the stupid My Magazine swipe-up gesture. It's half baked and useless to me. Flipboard is much better and more customizable and I hate that the gesture is there at all in the stock launcher. There has to be a way around this somehow.
I went in to My Magazine and turned off the launch when pressing home button. Then with my phone rooted I froze it with titanium backup. Now if you swipe up from the bottom you get a little popup that says "No app found" or something like that. I have not found a way to get rid of that completely, maybe with that swipe up program listed above.
I also went into My Mag and disabled the button. Switched to NOVA launcher and now it doesnt activate if you swype up from the bottom of the screen...not sure if I did anything to disable it.

If you disable the apk it messes with the stock e-mail app for some reason. I spent days trying to figure out why until someone in another thread suggested I try unfreezing it. Now I haven't had any issues for about 3 days with the e-mail app.

Is this only with the stock e-mail (not gmail) app, or does it effect other stock apps too?

I read that this method is doing a fc whit the email apps
I am pretty disappointed with this. I was hoping I would not have to root the device.
You MUST agree to the Terms and Conditions / Privacy Policies to be able to "disable" the home button binding. If you force stop, clear data then the binding returns.
What was Samsung thinking when they thought they should FORCE everyone to use it or SUFFER the inconvenience...

Jokesonme gave you the answer! With that app you don't have to root and you can have it do nothing when you swipe or switch it to a different app.
Thanks jokesonme!!

Did not work for me. Even with installing the app and trying different bindings, it will either FC TouchWiz or go to the app not found screen in Google Play.
Sadface. Can't wait to put on a custom ROM without all the bloat.
This is horrible every like 20 minutes I'm gettin the error. I don't wanna root I wanna stick to stock.
Any other options?

Default Email Application Crashing

So I rooted my phone and frooze a couple of the bloat apps but nothing crazy, mostly the ATT apps. Now my default email application crashes whenever i click it then when i reopen it it works fine.
Can't seem to figure out whats wrong with it. When it freezes it locked up my phone pretty bad and sometimes touchwiz goes down with it, it freezes for a good 3 minutes. So it's pretty inconvienent.
Anyone else come across this?

There are 3 or 4 posts on this.
You have to unfreeze my magazine. Freezing/deleting causes the email force closes.

[Q] Phone vibrates random

Hi guys,
I am having some problem.
Since a few weeks my phone vibrates random and I do not how to disable it. I turned vibration off in settings and in other apps. And the phone vibrates when I don't recieve any notifications. When I put it on the table for charging it stoppes after a while.
It is very annoying for me. If there is a method for completely stopping the vibration motor let me know.
Thanks.

Such vibration must cause an application. Remind yourself what you installed a few weeks ago.
Thanks. I tried to see some app settings and turned it off. The problem is that I don't see any notifications at all. I even installed the Xposed App, 'Less Frequent Notifier', but it doesn't work. And it is very hard to find the toxic app, because I have about 400~500 installed apps.
Is there some system log file where I can see which apps send the command to vibrate?

Install "Wakelock Detector" on your device. Once you sense a vibration, open the app and look for an app that uses the phone vibrator. You might want to try to get accurate information, as the app doesn't offer sorting based on time of trigger.
To get an accurate information, you can have the phone randomly vibrates for a day, and then open the WLD app and find the app responsible for vibrating.
An example is attached.
OR
You can use the App Ops. once you feel a vibration, quickly go to your App Ops, get to the "Device" tab (or section...) and choose the corresponding app that you suspect vibrating your phone. The apps listed there are sorted from recent permission trigger (or usage). So all you need to check is the top part of the list.

Cannot disable the V40 messaging application

I use an app called Mood for all my SMS messaging and really like it. It is working perfectly on my V40, but every morning at the same time I am getting a spam message in the Messaging app and the notification goes to my smart watch. It is really annoying , but I do not know how to stop it. The message does not come to the Mood app, just to Messaging. There is also no apparent way of blocking it in Messaging. The phone will not let me uninstall or disable the Messaging app. I think I am pretty much out of luck, but though I would ask all you people at XDA. If anybody would have a solution, somebody here would!
Edit: There is a "mute" option in Messaging that I just activated for this message. Did not notice this before. I will find out tom morn if this works!
Long click on the app icon, tap on the i in circle option, go to permissions and untick every one of them. Then, go to storage and wipe data and cache. That should do it. While you're there, you may also want to disable it, undo every access the app possibly could have. Whittle it down to nothing more than taking up space in the system partition

I did all of that, plus installed an app called Package Disabler for LG devices, disabled Messaging in it, and I am still getting this message every morn. The mystery deepens!
Sounds like a 'push notification' from an app, not a regular text message.

Verizon model? Is the spam message related to the app or something else?
If you get another notification, long press it in the notification screen and disable notifications from the app.
Using Android Messaging app and never had this issue.
