wallpaper location - Samsung Gear 2 Neo

is there a way to copy images to the gear fit itself ?
I tried into the \Gear\Images folder but they still don't appear, only way I can do it is from the phone opening up gear manager then home screen styler and clicking on more image and it browses my phone for them , would like to store a few on the watch itself

Watch styler/wearable widgets won't show in gear manager

as per title. GG1 (rooted, Null_) and S4 (custom rom 4.4.2)
no matter what version of Gear manager I use I can't get watch styler or wearable widgets to show in my gear manager on the phone.
is there some kind of fix?
problem solved, a mod can delete this now.
I was originally fetching my watch styler from Aptoide (wasn't on the play store so I assumed it had been removed)
turns out I had to get watch styler from Gear managers app store.

Can't sync music to watch

I am having great difficulties syncing music from Google Music to the LG G Watch R. The phone's (Nexus 6) software is up to date, the Android Wear app is, the watch has got 1.3., I've got the newest Google Music version (which apparently fixed something with Android Wear) and download to wear is ticked too. I have tried it in the past and always gave up in the end.
The watch itself shows something like e.g. 231 songs left to download, but in Google Music it NEVER shows anything in Manage Wear Downloads, I only get the loading circle and it just goes on and on.
Normally it seems like nothing has been downloaded. A couple of days ago the watch storage was showing up to 235MB for Google Music. I was able to play one song and when I tried to skip to the next one it just played the one song over and over again (with 235MB I assumed there must have been at least a couple of songs available). I have done resets, cleared cache and data for Google Play services and Android Wear, but nothing seems to work. On top the whole procedure makes the watch very unresponsive, even after unticking download to wear it still shows x amount of songs to download and I end up doing a factory reset of the watch.
Is there anything I might be missing or is it just some big fat bug?
Btw, when I open Google Music on the watch and use the play with wear option I do get a message about the phone being disconnected (which it isn't).
Set a playlist to download to the watch and leave it overnight. It transfers the songs via Bluetooth so it takes a really long time.
I might be a bit stupid, but I don't see an option to download one specific playlist.

Open GPM, go to settings, Manage Wear Downloads, and check the playlists or other saved songs you want.
Not sure if you didn't see it, but I wrote it doesn't show anything in Manage Wear Downloads.

You need to pin a playlist or album. Find an album and at the top of the list of songs in it there is an arrow in a circle next to the big play arrow. Hit that to download that album.
I had everything downloaded anyway before.

Run Oculus Apps without Gear VR Headset

I don't have the actual Gear VR headset for my Note 4. But I did manage to get the Oculus app to work and running. Even managed to download some apps for it. But I can't get any of the apps to open. I get the message "To open this application, insert your device into your Gear VR".
Surely there must be a way to trick it into thinking it's inserted into the Gear VR headset so that I can use it on my generic VR headset.
Does anyone know how? My searches have only yielded results about editing the AndroidManifest.xml of which I can only assume to be the actual package apk file of each app. Which I don't think applies to what I'm trying to do.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Ok I was able to enable Developer Mode from within Settings->Gear VR Service->Manage Storage and tapping on the version number 7 times.
That was AFTER I installed Sideload VR and created an Oculus account to obtain an Oculus Signature file and from Sideload, downloaded a sample apk with my sig injected into it.
Which now allows me to run Oculus apps without needing to insert it into a Gear VR.
However, I've noticed that nothing moves. It's not sensing my phone's gyroscopes so all is useless. And further searching suggests that Oculus uses a built-in gyro head tracking system INSIDE the Gear VR. Which is strange. I've always thought the Gear VR was just a headset shell. Why wouldn't it use the phone's gyros for movements?

It's because the gear vr sensors are significantly more sensitive than standard phone gyros for a smoother and entirely better /more comfortable experience. The gear VR is far from just a shell, really is worth the cost.

I have the developerboard and flashed the open rift firmware on it. My pc detects it as a rift dk1. When I connect the board to my fone with a hist cable the board lights up nicely.
But I am unable to get oculus home running without a gearvr. (The chip on the board is the same as in the dk1 and I think the gear vr uses that chip too)
So any help getting oculus home running on my s6 with gear vr would be great!
nevermind
I've got it all working.. in developer mode I can start oculus home and the ST32f3 board works great. I have head tracking!!
Trying to develop on the oculus and i can't seem to figure out where to put the sig file. I put it in /assets and it still tells me it needs to have me plug it into my unit, which is a pain.
You must turn development mode on.
In android go to settings, apps, app manager, gear vr service. There tab the version a few times. If you have placed you signature file correctly you will see you are a developer. Then in gear vr service you now have a switch for developer mode. Turn it on and test away!
I succeeded in repeating what Thai did. I can now run Oculus VR app and access Oculus video or Netflix VR but I cannot navigate within each app on my AT&T Note 4. I beleive this is due to the reasons stated earlier that the gear VR has different / more sensitive sensors than the note 4 itself.
Any idea on how to adjust the sensor configs to work with the internal note 4 components?
Also I am trying to get this working to use with my kids Viewmaster VR goggles which are awesome just want to be able to do netflix and watch our own movies in VR.
i managed to enable developer mode but my gyroscope doesnt seem to be working with the oculus apps, is there any way i can enable my s6's gyroscope with the apps, or at least a way to control the apps, touching the screen doesnt really do much when the cursor is dead at the middle of the screen.
I don't think so but what you can do (I've done this and works great) is get a stm32f3discovery board for about 25$ on ebay. Then flash the open gear vr firmware and you are good to go.
And if you connect the board to a pc and install the open source foculus rift drivers and you have a gtx videocard you can play Dk1 stuff!!

Simply use a micro USB extension cable to connect the Gear VR with the cable to the phone, then you don't have to wear the headset but can still move it to see the response on the screen
Oculus
Where does Oculus keep the apk files downloaded, there is this demo I downloaded and than uninstalled, but it keeps in my Library to install again and there is no way to get rid of it, is it possible to delete that file manually? Also where does Oculus download the apk files on your phone? Thank you
Controller
I was wondering whether a bluetooth controller could navigate the gear vr without having to use the gyro sensors. This could be good as it removes the need for the board

Run The Netflix Gear Vear app in a Moto Max

Install apps outside Oculus Store

I am tired of the lack of functionality of the Player branded to Oculus VR: Samsung VR, Moon Player, Video or Theater, i want a player that will allow me to add my own folders but work the same as Moon player(no file renaming). I found some good players in Playstore but how to port them into Oculus Store ? It's very annoying to remove the glasses and the phone every time you are changing apps without Oculus. Anybody has a solution how to port apps into Oculus Store ?
Before I installed a custom MarshMall Rom, I was using Fulldive and I had the mouse cursor enabled on my phone launcher and apps (not sure how, maybe because of sixaxis and my ps3 controller?).
Then I would place the shortcuts on the home screen where I could see them with one eye and click on them using the vr touchpad to move the cursor.
I just did the ROM the other day and have been messing with just trying to everything working again.
I have looked into this, I didn't find a way to import apps to oculus home. I tried using a custom ROM, but that bricked my phone. Only other way I found was to use package disabler
Is there a place to download oculus apps outside from the store anyway?
Apk extractor

The only way I know to do this would require someone who has the desired Oculus app already installed on their device. They would have use an APK extractor to get the apk file then copy it to your device and install it. Since its already an Oculus signed application it should show up in your library. You could possibly do this with paid apps as well
There is an app called SideloadVR which allows you to install apps outside the Oculus store. Be aware that you need an *.osig file to make it work. It explains the process in the app. Hope I helped

Watch Faces missing & not downloadable

So, went into the Galaxy Store and looked under receipts (that's where I used to re-download faces for Gear S3), noticeably shorter list of faces and also no download button.
When I look up the face by search (name of face/developer) nothing comes up.
Are some paid watch faces gone because they were removed from the store? Am I looking in the wrong place for the Watch 3?
I also still use the Gear S3 on my other phone, that store shows the same results.
