Xposed on S5 - Xposed General

I installed Xposed on my S5 and for some strange reason it stops the S health app from working. Possibly something to do with how S health hooks in to the sensors but to be honest I haven't got a clue.

sent you a reply back with the test version and logcat, unfortually no luck there either still crashes.

Yup still no joy. Doubt I will use S health that much but still you never know.

Ya only other thing is with Xposed installed phone is slightly laggy and sluggish

Ah yes I did notice that as well but thought it was to do with S Health trying to start itself.

Apps that keep restarting could indeed have an impact on performance and battery life. Xposed itself shouldn't have any noticable impact.
I checked the new log as well. It doesn't contain those lines with libdvm.so anymore, but still the secure storage commands aren't successful. I have no idea what they are doing there, what they might be checking to make sure that the phone is indeed secure etc. And I don't think I can find out as I don't know what else I could let you test.

The same here I would love to test new builds on my gaslaxy s5.
Lmk if you need a tester.

I have latest xposed installed as well as the most recent updates for S Health and everything is working fine.

Hmm how and or what did you do to get it to work, are you rooted with recovery installed?

On the S5 because your signature says S3?

I have no idea where the issue might be and currently don't see a chance to find out. So there won't be any test builds.

Think we have figured out it's down to the kernel. Could it be because custom kernels have selinux set to permissive? Not sure what the stock kernel has it set to but guessing not permissive.

I'm now certain it is down to how SEAndroid is set. Custom kernels have it set to permissive and everything works. I did notice that there is an option in Wanam Xposed to set it to permissive on boot but it's in beta. I may restore my backup in a bit and test to see if this fixes it.

OK so I jumped in and tried this. It kind of worked but due to the lag it took ages for the Android os to get root so ran then just took me back to home screen. Definitely a step in the right direction though. Back to custom kernel for now.

Yeah, S5, had to update sig. I am using philz Touch recovery with the stock Kernel.

I don't know if it helps, but here with the xposed framework installed, the private mode also fails to activate alongside with the s health.
I attached the log.

Any updates on Private Mode working?

[Q] OMXPlayer

Hi Guys,
I have noticed an issue in almost all ROM's the following Message is repeated again and again since boot.
E/OMXPlayer( 1022): waiting to render 0x1ea568
E/OMXPlayer( 1022): waiting to render 0x25d7f8
E/OMXPlayer( 1022): waiting to render 0x16f08
E/OMXPlayer( 1022): waiting to render 0x90f50
E/OMXPlayer( 1022): waiting to render 0x104158
E/OMXPlayer( 1022): waiting to render 0x177360
Can somebody please enlighten why the above message is repeated ? Googling gave only this much :
"arcee wrote that the device is waiting to playback 4 soundfiles which aren't there."
Is there any way we can stop that particular Service from looking / provide the sound files ?
Thanks !
It Seems, OMXPlayer is nothing but MediaPlayer which we use to play an Audio / Video File in Android. After Checking logcat for some time.. It Seems it OMXPlayer is stopped later..

The whole logcat is attached. It's a morge general problem of installation but where to start?
Did'n look at your logcat at the moment, but probably you could send me the logcat from flashing, too. There were two other guys who had bad NAND and the "old" system was not erased. I would like to exclude, that you have a similar problem.
Sent from my Gingerbread on Dream using XDA App
I assume you are looking for the recovery.log created in SPL. I've done a whole wipe and redone the installation. All files I know are attached.
Playing arround I've found the following logcat entry:

No swap partition is enabled
Last time I've evaluated ADS_magpie-20110729 + gapps-mdpi-gb-20110709 I can remember that there was no SWAP active.
I'm now evaluating Ginger yoshi 1.4 fix 32a_b using a the 24Swap script in /sd-ext/userinit.d.
I see that Ginger yoshi 1.4 uses a lot of swap, round about 10MiB. Maybe additional RAM (swap in my case) would solve this case? By default ADS_magpie-20110729 did not use swap for me.

Random reboot

Every day I get at least one or two random reboots... Anyone know the issue or have it too?

Experienced the same issue 2 weeks ago twice:
first time after clearing RAM with NQ Android Booster (all my apps collected in folders got "unfoldered" and some icons were suddenly missing (phone-icon, TXT-msg-Icon etc.)
After uninstalling NQ Android booster I got it a second time while adjusting camera settings during a photo-session.
Uninstalled "junk cleaner" too, since then no reboot any more.
Seems that SOME functions of Z1 get killed by optimizing apps and might cause a reboot. Check if You have apps like junk cleaner, RAM-cleaner or whatsoever installed ........
I had similar problems. Phone rebooted without me having even touched it. Noticed it when sitting in a passive car holder since it´s in my field of view.
I reflashed the phone with the latest firmware using the pc companion software from the sony mobile web page. Have not had any reboots since.
I got one random reboot per day after the new firmware update. I don't know if it was the same with the old firmware cause I used it just few hours. I don't have any app that optimize the system.
Sorry to bring this up again. But I somehow managed to collect the log from the kernel panic causing my Z1 random reboot (same every time).
I have a C6903. I have been suffering from random reboots since upgraded to firmware 14.1.G.2.257. Software ID: 1276-7842 R9A. Did the usual such as factory reset, PCC repair etc. but still happened.
Perhaps we can take a look at it if Sony releases the kernel source. Here is the stack trace:

Sorry to bring this up again. But I somehow managed to collect the log from the kernel panic causing my Z1 random reboot (same every time).
I have a C6903. I have been suffering from random reboots since upgraded to firmware 14.1.G.2.257. Software ID: 1276-7842 R9A. Did the usual such as factory reset, PCC repair etc. but still happened.
Perhaps we can take a look at it if Sony releases the kernel source. Here is the stack trace:

Think it is. When I was using 1.534, I didn't even see a single random reboot. I have now just reverted back to that older firmware to see if it will last a week without reboot.
I recall seeing Google claimed to have fixed Nexus 10 random reboot issue with the release of 4.3 (btw, N10 was having similar kernel panic with GPU code a while back) - not sure if that's really fixed. Hopefully Sony is aware of this rather than denying it and give us a fix some time in the future.
I have mentioned in another thread that you can actually accelerate the occurrence of random reboot by turning on 'Force GPU Rendering' in 'Developer Options'. That will force all 2D apps to render with GPU -> which will make it crashes a lot sooner. Not ticking that option won't make the problem go away, just delaying it from happening unless you don't use your GPU at all.

I see, me phone reboot after 3 days. Sometimes one day it reboot twice.
It does not reboot while I'm using the phone. It happen when I leave the phone alone in my desk or in my pocket.
I hope 4.3 will fix this problem, with 4.2.2 build 534 I've heard that It may cause Sleep of Death so I don't reverse back.
Same problem, I need solution

I am having the same problem with my Xperia Z1, I have tried too many things and read a lot of threads to solve this issue but no one solution or trick works on this issue.......... Help me..
I have the same problem - the phone restarts. But I can stop the restarts by:
1) Turn of Bluetooth. When Bluetooth is on, it restarts 1-2 times a day. When using bluetooth for external devices it restarts more often.
2) Turn off wi-fi. And just using 3G/4G/LTE. When entering a 'known' wi-fi (home or Work) it surely restarts every time.
It's not a solution, but hopefully it's solved in 4.3 and 4.4. I have tried to reset phone, new simcard etc.

[ROM][4.4][UNOFFICIAL] CM11 without graphics

Hey there,
It is time to publish my CM11 tree for our Razr I phones.
There is nothing working so far.
It's a stock CM11 tree with integrated kernel from oxavelar (https://github.com/oxavelar/XT890-Kernel-Gamma), many things taken from hazou (https://github.com/HazouPH/android_device_motorola_smi) and surfaceflinger patches from steven676 (https://gist.github.com/steven676/7276901).
Recovery PHILZ 6.14.2 (CWM v6.0.4.7) should be working fine, although mount paths are not setup really well (vold mounts missing, aromafm can't automount). There might also be some confusion around the SD card paths, so I really recommend not to use it for wiping and backing up any SD related stuff. As recovery does work fine for installing and backing up, I post a fastboot flashable recovery.img. Note: This is really not well tested by me!
Additional Warning: You may lose your data on INTERNAL SD when you wipe DATA!
To use aromafm, push the supplied aromafm.zip to /external_sd/clockworkmod/aromafm/aromafm.zip using adb in recovery or your running rom (then use the stock path for external SD. Internal should also work but I prefer not to use that)
You can find recovery here: http://android.matthias-larisch.de/razr-i/recovery/
Device tree is here: https://github.com/NerdyProjects/android_device_motorola_smi
More Github links to other forked projects will follow shortly, there are more changes.

Graphics is therefore not working. I also looked into the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 porting effort and they seemed to not have any problem with the GFX at this stage. They have SGX544, though. Any ideas? Does also not work without surfaceflinger patches (Open-GL ES1.1 fallback). The ValidateWindowConfigFormat errors are the problems, I think.
Hello why are you trying to do what people are already doing?
It would be better if you try to work with hazou:

Actually this is the KitKat ROM whereas that's the Jelly Bean one.

You are going to be more lucky looking at the patches from the galaxy nexus since we share the same gpu.

Jep, I thought I did. I really have to post the rest of the code, it's a bit complicated as I did not use the repo tool for most... Hope to make it this evening.
Patches applied to surfaceflinger:
Workaroung Bug XZ, pbuffer disable, egl2 disable, try-disabling-some-features-before-falling-back-to-egl1.
Following log with pbuffer without egl2:
Code:

As I see we should not encounter BUG 10194508 as the disabled feature does not show up in the capability list. I have to say that I never did anything with OpenGL except some very basic vertice programming in Delphi when I was a kid. Did never tinker with any of those error messages above.
Code:
BOARD_EGL_WORKAROUND_BUG_10194508 := true
TARGET_DISABLE_SURFACEFLINGER_PBUFFERS := true
#TARGET_DISABLE_SURFACEFLINGER_GLES2 := true
may be a bit more interesting as it gives us:

Yeah, I already know about android debugging. Thanks anyway
Problem is, that gdbserver segfaults when running surfaceflinger. Could be too easy else, right?

Please give me another day for the remaining sources - I know you really would like to compile this yourself. I will have another two hours tomorrow morning and hope to get it sorted out then.
That's it for today.
Edit:
BTW it is very nice to live without a smartphone a few days - but I soon need to have it working again (Razr I is my primary and only one). As I don't see me getting anyway here, I will soon go back to JB. Should not be more than a month until we see official 4.4 - those libs should all work more or less out of the box in CM11 I think/hope.
Take your time, I am interested, but won't be able to build in the next couple of weeks, I think so I don't mind if it is tomorrow or next month. Waiting more or less for official kitkat, to get started with cm11. In the mean time getting audio ready, because that will be one thing that we need to build/compile our self without much help from moto/Intel and I can do that in cm10.1.

MSMFB_METADATA_GET defined in msm_mdp.h but our framebuffer does not support it.
though i havnt fixed it yet but atleast got an idea
Hi sooorajjj, it's nice that you're trying to port KitKat for your L3 (and such an effort is not to be belittled in any matter, though some may disagree), but I think your device already has its section on XDA. Other developers working on a ROM for your device might have already faced the same problem so that should be your starting point.
Good luck!

Try clear data camera app.
Hi, I have the same problem. When I try to open camera app, it closes instantly without any message. I tried to stop it, clear data, reboot phone - no effect. App version - 8.0.0.301, VTR-L29 8.0.0.365 (C432).
Camera works in non native apps - like Viber (so it is not physically damaged).
Any ideas?
