One in back under the left side of the screen, near the center if I remember correctly and then one on the front pretty much the same place. I don't have my dot view on my phone currently so I can't be 100%. If you have them in the right place when you double tap the screen or hit the power button the dot view should show.

Yeah bang on. Just needed the one in the back, left hand side. Cheers pal,

[q] menu button?

Hi all,
Just a question, the htc does not seem to have a menu button, how does that work exactly?
Moving from an Evo3d on ics, it took me a while to notice the three vertical squares Menu button
Now if only I could find 'running apps' (used to be on the pull down screen)...

Screen distortion when tapping problem. anyone?

My screen got distorted when I apply some weight when I tap the screen, especially on the center left edge. The weight I apply is not that hard (just like mouse clicking) then I see some distortion (like water wave). I know it happens when you press hard on any LCD screen, However, It happens a lot easier on my Xperia Z compared to other phones I used to have.
Anyone got the same problem?
Had this on my last XZ (7th) and on this one (8th). Esp when holding the phone in my right hand pressing power button or volume buttons, it caused pressure where my fingers are holding the handset on the left.

No, mine works fine
Try repairing it under warranty If you have one
Or replace it

Please look at my previous posts. You'll see that I have had many XZ's. Also I'm typing this on an XZ. I'm switching to HTC in 8 days. I'm no fan boy, my last experience with HTC a few years ago, was bad.

I have the same issue around the same area. Bottom left side closer to the middle of the screen. Doesn't bother me too much though.

Question regarding the OIS

Does any one know how i can check if the OIS is on or if it's working. I'm curious if mine is working and if it can be turned off.

It can't be turned off but when you tap to focus or move your screen left and right do you see it 'wobble'?
Yeah I see it but very minimal. Thanks mate

How much does it actually wobble? I'm trying to see if mine works as well just to see if everything's working on my phone

Menu dots ...

I'm not happy, I've just come from the One 4.2.2 and they fixed the menu dots.
What's up with this beast?
They are back........ Am I missing something?

You can remove them in the buttons settings .

So I did miss something. I remember doing that on the One but didn't see it.
Ok close thread, all sorted.......

Im just wondering if there Is a way to fix this.

My s3 seems to have a power button problem. The phone boots on and works perfectly. But if I tap the rear of the mack plastic, next to the power button, I get the power menu. Any tips?
Thanks guys.

Dirt around the switch, carefully clean and all should be well... :good:
I removed the power button and cleaned everything out. Nothing worked so far. My power button seems to be very lose. Maybe a replacement?

Obvioisly loose. Its defenitly not intended to pick the power button out unless you screwed the cover away and void varranty.
The button will probably soon be gone for ever.
It sound like the feathery effect is gone. In the near future you have to send it in

I was chatting with a friend of mine who had the same problem, he removed the switch then use a little piece of double sided sellotape to bulk out the switch.
He then put it back together and it has been running for four months with no issues :fingers-crossed:
Hope you could fix it..
