My Galaxy Gear is Super Slow - Samsung Galaxy Gear

So I installed a custom ROM on my galaxy gear, Null 23 recently.
Everything works the way it should but there's an issue. The gear is now really slow. For instance, when I attempt to run Flappy Bird on it, it's literally like I'm playing the game in slow motion.
I also don't know if it's a RAM issue or not but often times when a have an application up, the screen will suddenly turn black. It's not going to sleep, that's for sure. The screen just goes black and everything I touch the screen it lights up for a split second and when I release it goes black again. Most of the time, the apps will also become unresponsive at this point.
Any advice? Thanks.

flappy bird has been poorly assembled and poorly coded so it will run slow
did you enable the 1600Mhz cpu kernel

Screen becomes purple

Dear All,
I recently bought my phone and i am trying to get used to its big screen but otherwise i am fan already.
I was playing a game and suddenly my screen turned purple, initially i thought it was the games graphic but after closing it the screen itself was purple. I restarted my phone and the screen became normal.
Is it something serious?
I am still under my seven days return period and i can cancel the contract.
Thanks

i too faced the similar problem. After restarting the screen became normal. Anyways this may help. Go to 'Display' > 'auto adjust screen power' and uncheck it. This should solve the problem.
So that means its not a hardware fault?

Do not fear, it is not a hardware fault. Its potentially a power saving glitch !!! Your device is not faulty. Relax !!!

Same thing happened to me and I ran to XDA to search and found this! I'm a bit relieved that it seems it is a software issue, but I don't have screen power saving on and I turned off all power saving options.
I started up Gameloft's GT Racing Academy and thought it was some weird game bug, but then after closing it my homescreen was also pink/purplish.
I have a similar problem but it doesn't turn purplish after playing a game. With mine, when ever I wake up my GNote after an hour or so, it will start off green but slowly fade away after a few seconds. One person suggest it could be a screen fault and to return it. But after I disable the auto screen brightness, it has improved (still getting a green coloring when I wake it up but take less than 1 second to get back to normal and I can live with that). But I never had to reboot to get the screen back to normal though. It could possibly be a bug with the game.
If it only happens with one game, it will more likely be the game that is causing it. But if it is happening with every game, I would be a bit more concern.
If you got a custom kernel or custom rom, try a different rom or re-flashing the kernel/rom. I read on a few other threads that by re-flashing, it fixes some problems.
It was happened to me yesterday when I am playing GT Racing game. I switched off and on again then no problem.

Same game it happened to me on. The screen was fine before I started the game, but once I got into the game everything was covered in a purple hue. I wonder if it is that specific game that might cause it, because I'll delete it and never go back.
This has just happened to me while using Google Talk ... Everything went purple ... When switching back to the home screen, icons that were orange are pink ... Not a good look ... A reboot solved it and I feel a tad reassured after reading these posts that it's nothing major ...
Pictures, pictures, pictures!!! Do a hand swipe when you see it to capture a picture!!!!! It happened to me too and I forgot to take a damn picture!

same problem after upgrading to ics
My screen works perfectly on GB rom but when i upgrade to ics it turns purple. you can actually see the moment it turns purple when turning on the phone and the samsung logo appears.. it is white for a few seconds and turns purple. i have tried all the suggestions i have found in forums or youtube but nothing solved the problem. i have also tried many different ics releases but same problem. only when going back to GB it becomes normal again.
anyone has a suggestion?

Touch screen going CRAZY

I think I have the weirdest problem with my Sensation XL.
It works fine and sometimes, when I unlock it, the touch screen goes into super frenzy mode and starts doing things on its own. When it's stuck in that mode, I cannot use it, and it clicks buttons around randomly and very fast.
I have seen it open my messages, swipe a long gibberish text and send it (!) or this morning it just opened contacts and deleted one!
I am pretty sure it's all in random because on the keyboard I can see it swiping very randomly around the screen and in a very fast speed.
What on earth is this and how do I stop it? It almost looks like a virus or some sort of spyware but I checked and see nothing malicious installed.
The phone is about 8 months old and is not rooted. Latest firmware installed.(4.0.3 Android version).
The crazy behaviour did not coincide with any updates in software. Just started 3 weeks ago randomly and happened maybe 5 times till now.
The only way to stop your phone going mad and doing something you don't want it to do is to quickly rip the battery off, because you are unable to restart it from the touch screen.
It only happens after you unlock it, not while you're using it and I noticed it happens after a long period of inactivity.
Has anyone had that? Any help is very appreciated!
Thank you

Lock the screen and open it again. If this doesn't stop it could be a Hardware problem
I also had some problems like this on the original firmware, but rarely, it got fixed when i flashed Incredibly Cool Sense v3. You should lock the screen not to rip the battery off, as it's faster and it should work

I don't think it's a hardware issue cause the phone works well most of the time. If it was hardware the problem would be permanent, not intermittent and especially so occasional.
Must be something software related, I did add a lot of games to the phone recently but the problem happens even when these processes aren't running in the background which is puzzling.
Locking and unlocking the screen postpones the problem, it doesn't solve it. As soon as the screen is unlocked, it immediately goes crazy again.
I can only solve it by pulling the battery out, and FAST, before it sends crazy messages to my contacts

Welcome to the club. I had that same issue. But after a hard reset everything is fine with mine.
I assume that there was an app causing all that. If after a hard reset still does that you should send it for repair
If you have a screen protector its can be a main reason for this. To stop this behavior you can use power button and wake up it again. Some htc devices have the problem with multi touch screen
Issues of production. Clear the screen products with some alcohol and see than.

I don't have a screen protector actually and the screen is usually clean.
Must be some app, I wonder there was some way to find out which without having to do a hard reset and lose everything

You can't! There is no way you can find out which one is causing that. Maybe it's some update from something that is causing the freezing.
Last night i did notice something else though. My battery was almost empty and i took my gf charger. She has S2 and after i charged my phone it has started to act strange......... Even today after i pluged the phone to install something from the PC it didn't even notice that i have connected it to the PC. Took me about 20 min in/out to get it running I clean the usb slot every week so it is not a dirt issue....
it happens with me when there's water on the screen

Be careful from contiouas pressure on screen it may drive it to behave strangely .
Try to use lock code before putting the phone into pocket

Definitely on to something.
It has happened a few times when it was drizzling and there were tiny droplets on the screen (not proper rain).
It started acting up when I was swiping the screen against the tiny droplets. After locking it, it would stop responding...
Most of the times I find it either non reponsive or acting weird after I take it out of my back pocket and try to unlock it.
Maybe being in my pocket, even locked, affects it somehow.
Is it easy to put another Rom? Do I lose all my apps?

Yes you will lose all your apps.
Yes I have the same behaviour, its usually moisture from my hand, greasy buildup, water droplets and or being in my pocket the pressure on the screen makes it act up too, wouldnr worry bout it, not every screen design can be perfect ; )

sorry to bump an old thread.
I have this problem on a bashed up screen. however... I don't think it can be hardware because if I hard reset its then OK on the next boot...
we need to learn more about touchscreens - how are they calibrated? I think it is reset on boot and also on each lock
Its the LCD ribbon touching the metal housing, short circuiting the screen, easy fix with a piece of tape over the ribbon
Edit
Also, once the phone heats up resistance builds up with it causing the issue

KFHD7 is running ITSELF

I had a very odd experience with my tablet last night. After a few hours of non-use, I picked it up to begin reading. Went to adjust the brightness level and pulled down the settings bar. I noticed the bar was behaving strange, like as soon as I pulled down, it would snap right back up. There was also a flicker at the bottom of the shade. Unable to access anything there, I went into my app drawer to do something else. As soon as I went in, things got even stranger. Apps began opening themselves. Two games in particular, Gunman Clive and Lep's World 2. I would watch as the game opened by itself, then once inside the game, I would hit quit. The app, would immediately re-open.. This happened several times over. After the first app stopped doing that, it began opening the second app. Tried closing that one several times the same way and watched it re-open the same way. I decided to go further in Lep's World once it opened again. I watched as the character began jumping(but, not walking) on his own. Exited this app. Next my Kindle opened up the settings for LMT launcher on it's own. It did this same thing with these 3 apps, almost as if something(or someone) has compromised by tablet. I could physically see the buttons being pushed for these apps and it was not being pushed by my finger.
Fed up, I attempted to restart via Quickboot. Just as soon as I opened Quickboot, instead of me having a chance to pick one of the boot options, it would pick Hot Boot for me. This happened a couple of times, but finally I was able to do a full reboot. After the full reboot, My Kindle started up normally and there seems to be no sign of anything like this happening since.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? Please tell me I'm not hacked. I'm running hashcode's CM 10 with Nova Launcher if that makes any difference.
Sounds like your digitizer went nuts
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
Try installing this app and enabling screen touches. At least then you can see where the Kindle is touching itself (as weird as that sounds:what: ). Just a thought.

I have a problem that's almost identical to something similar. My settings bar behaves strangely and I get the flicker at the bottom of the shade. My apps start behaving strangely. It seems to happen about once a week. I believe it happens after my apps have been automatically updated. To solve my problem I run Clean Master app and select the memory boost and junk folders tiles. After the cleaning the problem goes away until it happens again.
Was your device connected to a wall charger when misbehaving? With some power adaptors it detects more than a touch for every real touch, which could explain the weird behaviour you described.

I have had similar problems in the past and, odd as it may seem, my issue was a dirty screen. You see, I noticed that several "touches" were occurring on a particular area of the screen, the area taken up by the d pad in minecraft pe. I believe that the accumulation of fingerprints and skin oils was enough for the screen to recognize a touch. It still happens from time to time and always stops when I clean my screen. I've found that a little bit of purel and a soft napkin work great. Good luck!

4.3 Sudden Rotate Bug

I Updated my phone to the latest 4.3 build but I'm starting to think to revert back to .569, Why, Sometimes, and I mean Sometimes, when Im using my phone, the screen suddenly rotates 180 degrees (opposite direction) and back again (In a very fast manner). I have my Auto-Rotate disabled btw. Any ideas how to fix this? It is really annoying (It happened again As I was typing this thread). Thanks!

Started to happen to me too, long time after the update

I was able to replicate this issue a number of times.
Open Subway Surfers and start the game.
while playing, shake the device in an up and down direction fast -- and the screen will rotate 180 degrees.

Severe lag when using after its been off for a while.

My Galaxy Tab S2 seems to lag for a couple of minutes when I first go to use it. This is after I've left it just on the side for a few hours or overnight (not from boot-up).
When I try to open an app it freezes then a few seconds later it does what it was supposed to do then it freezes again. I force close all but this doesn't really help until I've done it a few times.
I wasn't sure if this was something to do with the built in auto Wifi off so switched that off and it seemed to improve it slightly but it still happens. I tried using some auto WiFi off apps instead but they didn't even work.
After this first couple of minutes it then works fine. I uninstalled all apps and it was ok but it wasn't before long it came back. It wasn't particularly noticeable after any specific app.
Is there a way to analyse what is causing this lag in the background?
I'm experiencing the same problems. I wonder what could be causing this?

I've noticed this for a long time. If you use a system monitor you will notice that the Disk reading will be at 100% for some minutes, leaving the tablet unresponsive.
I don't know how to identify which apps are doing the reading.
