[Q] bootloader for verizon htc one working in EU - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
It is possible to flash bootloader for Verizon HTC ONE that goes to standard HTC ONE ? - I will be using the phone in the EU.
After flashing TWRP m7vzw version and instal viper one I got message after system boot that simcard isnt from verizon. I skip that and choose wright carier and everything gooes fine for now.

it seem that this is not working for now. I flash TWRP 2.7.0.0 m7 version and system can't boot. Go back to the TWRP 2.7.0.8 m7vzw for now and waiting for updates.

You can't flash a bootloader that is not intended for your phone variant, you will brick it. But wait, you are talking about TWRP which is not the bootloader, its the recovery. You can't neither flash a recovery that is not intended for your phone variant!! Recovery and bootloader version have absolutely nothing to do with the message you got about your sim card.

Stop flashing things that are not intended for your M7VZW !!! You will end up messing your partitions. Go read the forums or ask here before doing thing you don't understand.
There also a specific forum for the Verizon Htc one here, you could probably find more precise information for your phone variant.

You are right, my mistake - I mean recovery flash
I was using HTC HD2 on several androids builds before so I get to use with partition mess
All I neet is to get rid of verizon from my toy. Do you think that flashing fimware, radio etc could help ? Something like described here for m7vzw phones http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46506621 but for m7.

I got the Loader unlocked and flashed TWRP. i Applied the /system rw fix, performed a wipe of everything and tried to flash a ROM. Failed
Now when ever i boot i cannot get it to boot to a ROM. I will boot into bootloader, Fastboot, and recovery, Though TWRP will not mount /data or /sdcard to re-flash ROM.

maybe install a different recovery, cwm touch... incase twrp is jacked. ofcourse flash through fastboot. fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
I have tried CWM touch but it won't even boot those. Just goes to a black screen. Is there a specific version I should be using?

Also it's worth nothing that there are not WL/WLS Roms available. I was looking through them and noticed that all of them are based off of the UL or WWE variants. that may be what my problem has been all along. There just aren't any roms available for the Sprint version of the phone. Does Anyone have a stock Sprint version they can take a nandroid of and Upload it. I would appreciate it.
what? there is a sprint section for you for several days now!

Same thing happened to me but I ended up finding an RUU that re-stocked it. Unlocked, rooted, twrped, and flashed ViperRom after and running smooth. Just gotta make sure the ROM will work on the sprint WL variant first.

[Q] Flashing UK carrier Three HTC one with international ROM

Hi all,
I'm wanting to flash my HTC one 32gb, UK Three network, with the international software so I can receive updates much quicker rather than waiting for my carrier to approve them as well.
First off will I need S-off for this to work because of the carrier lock? I've only ever had unlocked phones before, when I have rooted them. Also what are the best tools for the job? I am looking for that lastest stock international stock ROM that I can root. I'm fine with command line tools like; fastboot, adb ect. Been off the rooting scene in a while since I had a galaxy nexus, with its unlock boot loader option
Thanks.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183942
This is your best option for rooting
You can't have s-off yet not done yet

So how can I unlock the boot loader so I can flash a custom recovery? I do not have the option of going to fastboot and unlocking it like on the nexus. Also mine is a carrier version so i assume I cannot unlock the bootloader from the HTC dev site.

Thanks guys I've done it! Unlocked it the via the HTC dev site and flashed the clockwork mod recovery, then flashed the latest stock ROM. So now I should not have to wait for my network carrier to deliver the updates. Did it on my macbook using fastboot and adb.
So for future reference for anyone else;
HTC one on carrier Three UK, flashed with latest stock ROM with no problems.
No need for S-off either.

That is where you might have troubles. Because the OTA updates will still look at your CID and if your CID doesn't match up (which it won't) because the update is for the CID in the UK region and your CID is for example the Australian region then the update won't install.

Hi, can i ask where you got the Stock ROM from? I rooted mine the other day, then decided i wanted to unroot it, and in trying to do so I ended up using the wrong RUU and now the Wifi and Camera dont work. I am an idiot.
So ive decided ill settle for a stock ROM for now until someone comes along with the UK Three RUU.
Thanks in advance

GSM rom on CDMA phone (aka how do I unscrew my phone)

Hi there,
Yesterday I bought a Japanese HTC ONE (HTC J one, HTL22, M7-WLJ, Provider is AU-KDDI, it has a simcard).
As it was full of bloatware I S-offed using revolutionary (htcdev isnt allowed by AU) and flashed a recovery. Then I proceeded to flash Viper One. I asked in the thread if it would work and the answer was as long as it's not a dual sim device you should probably be fine.
So I flashed and ended up with a bootloop. No big deal as I backed up my original rom. I turned off my phone as it was pretty late already. When I turned my phone back on again it wouldn't boot into recovery anymore, it would just say entering recovery and then reboot. I tried reflashing the recovery again but it still just reboots when entering recovery.
So I asked in the TWRP thread what to do. "flash a RUU". Now the problem is that I can't a RUU.exe for this model.
Long story short, how do I get my phone working again? I assume I can't just flash a WWE asia version? From what I can gather the hardware still supports GSM networks.. so maybe it doesnt matter? I suppose if the hardware supports both networks it's just a matter of the correct settings/drivers being available in a rom?

Look up hasoon2000 on bing and click the second link (should be a dev-host site)
Navigate to the One folder.
Download and extract the One all in one toolkit version 3.1
Put your phone in fastboot mode (Power and volume down button, should say "FASTBOOT USB" in red.
Try reflashing TWRP from toolkit to see if it works.

M7 WLS (no sim, no IMEI, no signal)

Brought a M7 off New Zealand trading site like ebay.
It came with a htc one soul xiaoxiang 8002_x21.0 rom, one i have been unable to find.
But i went ahead a threw the stock RUU at it and now no matter the rom's i flash my phone with im getting no signal, no sim card.
As far as i have played around its the radio, i recall that the xiaoxiang had a "radio" and "beats audio" app? but all the Sprint roms i have tried, about 10 havn't had the radio fix nor have any of them helped.
Feels like im going round and round in circles.
Can anyone suggest a rom or a fix?
I brought this model of phone because i wanted to abuse the infrared blaster and that was the driving factor i reverted to a stock ruu. But at this stage i just want to be able to use my New Zealand sim card!
Hello, what is your CID AND MID?
CID is 11111111
Device serial number is FA357S905147
Model is HTC PN072
Current have a badboyz rome Lollipop 5.0.2, Sense 6.0
Baseband is unknown
Imei unknown
Played around with different radio versions today, result was disappointing.
I'll run adb and try get the MID. i think thats where i get it.
I do have the HTC unlock file on my other computer.
hey bro i solved this problem by
(a)make a backup of the rom by twrp
(b)factery wipe the phone including OS i.e SYSYTEM
(C) Let it boot up till it gets stuck on the htc logo since it has no OS
(D)power off, go into boot loader and on fastbootusb type "Fastboot oem rebootRUU"
(E)THEN FLASH THIS RADIO "1.01.20.1225_6.16.651.2_radio"
(F)after youve flashed it reboot in to bootloader (Fastboot reboot-bootloader) and confirm if you have the radio
(last)restore your backup from twrp and enjoy

Still have this issue, upgraded to 7.1.1
As far as i know, its some sort of sprint lock.
The phone is GSM, but it doesnt matter if im running fireware from when the phone was first released or the lastest update, nothing solves the issue.
There has to be a file or script in the root files that has disabled this function.

[Solved]Need help with TWRP

So, I have several international HTC m7s (HTC 802w) at work and I'm trying to flash TWRP on these devices. All of them are at least S-off and some unlocked. This one particular device I'm trying to flash is both s-off and unlocked (but these weren't done by me). Interesting thing is, the twrp flashes normally in fastboot, but when I reboot into recovery, there is black screen only. If I attach usb in this state, computer detects MTP device and I can browse the phone contents and when I run adb devices, it says the device is in recovery. Does this mean twrp is flashed but can't correctly boot into it? What can I do to successfully boot into it?
My HBoot is 2.49 and CID is 11111111.
Edit: Another "interesting" bit. When I open back cover, it indeed says HTC 802w, but installed system is 802t.

Are you sure your twrp img is the one for the 802 model? Because the versions you'll find linked everywhere in this forum section is for the 801 model (the single sim variant).
The dual sim twrp versions are there:

Someone probably converted this phone from w to t. You can dump the mfg partition to look at the original MID/CID if you really want to know what it was when it shipped from the factory.

Damn, so that's where I was messing up. I even read getvar multiple times, but somehow didn't pay attention that codename is cdtu. And no, I'm not interested what was shipped from factory, I just thought it had something to do with not being able to boot into twrp.
Another question then. What roms can I flash on cdtu? I have tried AICP from M7 forum, but it ended with error 7.
Edit: Can you tell me how to convert it back to 802w?
