Hi,
I'm new to these forums and i wasn't really sure where to post this thread but here goes:
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo and got a root file managing app. I then used this to edit build.prop to change my screen resolution. The line I edited had something to do with Density or something. I was and still am new to android and went and jumped right into customizing my phone. This meant, unfortunately, I didn't backup.
Useful info:
1. I can get onto recovery (volume up + home button + power button)
2. I can get to the lock screen, unlock it but then its just a black screen
3. I can pull down from the top to reveal my settings but I can't seem to turn on USB debugging
4. Messages are constantly popping up say 'TouchWiz Home has stopped working"
5. I have tried factory reset and wipe partition
I do not mind losing data as I have already wiped it
I have poked around on many forums and a good solution seems to be getting a clean Nandroid from someone else and installing that using ADB.

So i decided to do a bit of exploring using kitchenpro (using checkrom) on my galaxy note and i think i ended up changing the app source on the settings menu..
i installed some mods and tweaks (not knowing they were for galaxy S2) like the camera hardware button (which made my camera screen shrink down to S2 resolution), the removal of messages from call logs (which i can't access anymore, it crashes now) and now i also can't access kitchen pro. it just keeps crashing every time i try to open it.
does anyone know how i can reverse these changes and fix up kitchenpro as well? thanks!
hopefully you did a nandroid backup with cwm ?...
Personally, I'd just wipe and reflash the base ROM again.

Finally I updated my Note of ICS but there are still some options that I am not able to find on Note.
1.) How to do background data off or On in ICS like in GB?
2.) Any option to shut down the camera capture Noise?
3.) Its freezing in between and consuming more RAM as compare to GB any solution?

Proud owner of Galaxy Note.
1) Not sure where hiding - I use Settings > Accounts and Sync and turn off at top
2) When phone on silent I don't get camera noise, When phone on Sound I do get camera noise
3) Try reflashing the ROM a second time - I found that a factory reset was best way (after carefully reading instructions on Rocket ROM OP)
Please be patient with my noobness, I'm still learning. I recently flashed LiquidSmooth 2.5 to my Bionic, and really really really like the interface; simple and fast. Only a few problems I can't figure out:
1. Play store won't open. I've only found one way to it, by pressing menu while looking at the app drawer, and nothing happens when selected.
2. Home button doesn't work, both the hard button and when I activate the softkeys at the bottom of the screen. Back is the only way to the homescreen.
3. I can't figure out how to have a Google account in the OS.
4. The lockscreen settings have no effect on the phone.
5. The browser won't open, and Chrome claims to be missing some files.
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

I figured it out, I forgot to flash gapps with it.
Now I'm not able to send any mms, I read on the development forum that a fresh flash solves this problem. Will reflashing the rom without wiping it restore the OS to the stock liquidsmooth, or will it keep my current apps and settings?
Why do you need to reflash the ROM? I believe it best to wipe everything to insure a smooth flash. Could be wrong though.
I was somehow able to disable the Google Search bar somehow in some setting somewhere, but I kinda want it back. Anyone know how to make it come back short of restoring the damn phone?

I tried searching but it wasn't coming up when I looked. Thanks for pointing me there, though.
it does look like an eyesore especially if you can't get it back. though I assume it will have its uses when you want to google something on the fly.
i think installing an alternative launcher may be the only successful way
Go to settings > apps > disabled, if it's not there then restoring might be the only option

Go to apps, find Xperia Home then press clear data
Note that this will reset your home screen settings to default but whatever apps your have installed will remain. I don't think there's an easier way learnt it the hard way too...
Hello All,
A few months ago I was forced into updating Gear Manager as a result I lost notifications while using the NULL Rom.
I want to reset the Gear but do not see how to do this since the Settings app is now missing.
From within TouchWiz I would scroll to the large gear wheel(settings) --> Rest.
From Android there is no settings to reset my device.
From Recovery I am not seeing how to reset the device
Can someone please help?

I don't see the date of this question but maybe you can help me where are the answers to all these questions on all the threads. Thanks. I haven't been on since 2014 to give you an idea off how up to date I'm at. Working on 1 bricked 1st generation gear. Another were the flash gets through but a tiny screen where l can't use the slider to install the rom programs because it's blocked with the watch logo preventing me from sliding the lock. Any help would be appreciated. I too lost the big settings in touchwiz preventing me from starting from scratch maybe to try the tizen room. I just bought the gear S but afraid too try anything until l can get more information
