Firstly , i am sorry about my english.i am trouble with handset of my p880.
It is very quite.i tried to increase volume by pressin `volume up` button.it is max now.
I tried secret menu which i enter by pressing 3845#*880# or something.i couldnt find
Any usefull thing.i tried to change values of build.prop file about audio things.
And i have nothing.
I dont thing it is hardware problem couse there is sound but quite.

i have the same problem, when receiving a call, decrease and the increase volume to the max, this way it will become louader

I just bought Diamond and must say that it is the best phone ever however the ringtone volume is too low which cant be hear lot many times.

I have the same problem, but if i reset the tab the incall volume is ok, then i recover my apps backup with titanium and have the problem another time... i think it's a problem with some app

What I did was during a call, I increase the volume. But I had to do it almost everytime there is a call. Could it be a bug?

I am starting this thread to ask people about their x8 headset. The problem is the mine is quite soft in volume and even when cranked up to maximum I can't hear voices that well. Is this a shared issue or am I the only one with this problem. Input would be greatly appreciated. If I do not thank you today it is because I have reached my 8 thank limit. Is there any app people can recommend to help with this problem maybe a volume booster. I will be offline for a few days to sort out some coursework but will check back afterward.

As it says in my sig. I am on the MiniCM9. I have DSP but have never used it. All it has is equalizers. It is not quality I want but volume. Thanks anyway.
On CM9 you have to lower the volume to set it higher... Yeah, it's a littlebit weird, but it is like this. So try lowering the volume to half of the maximum!

Yep lower the volume 3 to four times from the maximum. Thats quite a known bug on CM9 and 10
If it still exist using 2.3 ROMS then might have problem with you headset acessories

Hello, does anyone know how to raise the in call volume. The slider is al the way up, but the sound is still very low.
I have tried others roms, but is still stays the same. Is there an mod or app, that can help ??

I think it's a hardware failure because when I raise the volume all the way up my ear literally explodes
I don't know exactly but maybe it depends on your network provider?

Yes, it may be a hardware defect or maybe the grate is dirty.
Still, how can we raise the volume?
I know there is one way thru the hidden menu, but not sure on the details.
I think it's not a hardware failure, but maybe the grail is dirty i don't know, but still I hope that someone has a solution to crack the volume up... A booster app or something in the system files. Anyone ?

Alsa mixer will not work on this device....:crying:
Alsamixer works on my 4x. I can increase loudness of main speaker. And it is crucial to make radio work on our phone
That is wierd. I m on stock 20b software but the app emty when I open it.... I can install the files but thats it...
I have a similar issue with out-going volume being too low when wearing headphones.
I have the D415 and it's not rooted. I'm trying to increase the earpiece/call volume. I already know how to enter the secret menu but after that, I have no idea where to go. I found some audio tests but that's not what I'm looking for.
Is it possible to increase the volume without rooting through the secret menu? the incall volume is way too low for me. Maybe some other suggestion or settings to change.

Can't be done through the secret menu. Maybe there's an app, but I wouldn't know of one/:
Viper audio. Its usually for better sound quality but one of the settings for the phone speaker upps the max volume. Try that. Note. With viper installed it will drain your phone a tad faster.
