[Q] Xposed framework taking too much space! - Xposed General

Xposed framework was recently updated. The update was awesome but the problem I'm facing now is that xposed is using 3 times the space on my phone than it used to. It's using almost 100mb. Any way to reduce this memory usage?

What if we clear data? Will this remove the framework or which data will be removed? This data is increasing day by day? Any solution?

I just cleared data and reinstalled framework. It's hardly 4mb now!

Check the Xposed log. It's probably an incompatible module which is constantly writing errors to the log.

OK. It is some module which is causing errors but I can't figure out the module. I have attached a screenshot of my log. Can you please help me?

Okay, it was the greenify module that was causing errors. I disabled it and everything seems fine.

Omg, what can i do without greenify. This module is essential for my Neo V !!!

Xposed log file got big. Some module generated too much output to the xposed error log.
Identify the module by opening xposed log and uninstall it as it's most likely incompatible with your system.

its likely because of greenify or donkeyguard or mock mock location

OK, well HOW do we identify the module? I keep reading: "identify the module"... "find the module that's causing problems"... etc., but the logs are gobbledegook to non-geeks. And clearly the Xposed Installer dev has no intention of updating with a fix this side of the fourth millennium.

It's not xposed dev's fault. Simply, you are running a module that's not compatible with your system and is generating errors in the log. Copy log to your PC and use editor like Notepad++ to open it. You can find out which module is generating the errors by looking for package info within error stack trace.

Try this and repeat for several days, min. twice a week
First at all
sorry, I don't know how to attach file/image :'( and my English..
but I keep trying to help.
1. Open Xposed Installer
2. Choose 'Logs'
3. Tap 3 dots and choose 'Clear log now'
4. Check it size
I think this issued from xposed-greenify 'greenifying system apps'.
If you doesn't like it, you can switch it off at greenify setting 'experimental features'.

Xperia Home FC

After upgrading to Kitkat, I've started getting FC 's everytime the screen is rotated in any app, after opening camera, even while on homescreen :-/
I disabled xposed and the problem was gone....so something in xposed causing problems here.
I even tried disabling many modules that effect system ui but still same.
Can anyone please help me, to identify what's wrong here?
Anything related to framework /module that's causing the FC?
I've provided logcat, logs below for the FC.
Please help, as the FC is very annoying, everytime

Please disable all modules. There is at least one (something Xperia specific) which is causing errors.

I tried that, disabled all Xperia related modules, but the problem was still there
What's strange is that sometimes after fiddling with some modules the problem vanishes, and suddenly comes back out of nowhere :-/
The logs, logcats didn't give any hint of what's wrong?at least some idea? ?
Please help
As I said, please disable absolutely all modules, no exceptions. Only then I will have a look at a logcat.

I did just that, and I found that there's not one "single" module that's causing the problem, but I think it's because of two or maybe three conflicting modules.
Only workaround that I found, was to disable resource hooks, and then enable it(tick... Untick ) ,that solves the FC till next boot.... Strange.
Can U tell me what module makes home FC?
I've disturb to the problem for a long time

Hi Bro,
The following are the modules I used.
Gravitybox - KK, Xblast, Smooth system progress, Xperia xposed, Xperia FMwoHS, Xad, Xvolume, Xperia multiple mini apps, Swipeback, Status bar volume,Semc phone patcher, Screen off animation, Multiple mini apps,Greenify, Gapps crash fix, Eggster, Double tap to sleep, Disable location consent, Cyber shot xposed.
Thats all bro...
As you are using multiple module it is difficult to identify the issue causing module.
So disable all module, enable 1 module and reboot and see, then enable 1 and 2, and so on. so that we can filter down the issue. :good:

I did that method. But it didnt work...
I too faced the problem, I fixed by this way.
Ok. Did you tried enabling only one module at a time?
Whether SystemUI is working if all module is disabled? If yes then some combination of module is not working. We can get info from the logcat and filter down the issue. But I have no idea how to use & identify using logcat :angel:

If I install xposed installer alone it works fine. But if I install any one module it shows system ui has stopped working... Now I have downgraded to 4.3 because it supports xposed without any errors..

[Q] XPOSED modules not working on Lollipop

Hi,
I'm new to all customizations and things similar on Android. I have been using Xposed on Kitkat without any issues on my Nexus 4. I recently installed xposed alpha for lollipop (waited so long for that). However, not all modules recognize xposed framework. I have installed GravityBo[LP] and working perfectly fine, but there are modules like BootManager and XPrivacy which says that the module is not activated. Attached are the screenshots. Please advise.

chk this thread for working xposed modules -

Also, Bootmanager seems to be working based on the feedback, chk pg 32 in the above thread.

I have seen that link. My bad I missed the fact that XPrivacy is not supported. However, I'm facing the same issue with BootManager.

Yes. It does. But, will it actually work without the xposed framework?
Check, and if it doesnt, let the app owner of Bootmanager know

Xposed + enable-debugger Flag

Hi,
I have an apk which has debuggable flag set as 'False'. Without modifying the apk is it possible to make the application debuggable using xposed framework.
Since all the application calls from Zygote process, is it possible to add 'enable-debugger' flag when we call that particular application?
Use Xinstaller module.
In Xinstaller, go to Misc. Tick 'Debugging apps'.
Wow, somebody found and uses this feature I thought nobody used it.
Thumbs up!
It's a life saver!

Magisk Modules to Replace XInsta and XposedEdge (Xposed Modules)

I'm getting rid of xposed because it causes not passing safety check and it's really effecting me right now. The only xposed modules I use are XInsta and XposedEdge. What are some replacements for these?

It's better to mod the official app rather than installing 3rd party app from a shady source
Its impossible because Magisk are not working same as Xposed.,,Magisk just meant to make everything that used to change the files in system into systemless.,,so it wont harm or modify the actual system files...while Xposed are like intercepting n injecting codes while the app or system working.,,or something like that...so its really much a different things between them...the only way to do like how u want is just find the modded version of your wanted app and use it.,,or u can just do the mod app yourself...
