Besides donating you can also show your appreciation in this way:
1. Click on "Follow project" on the black bar on top of this thread. Or click here

Doesn't have to be a long story. Just a few words and a honest rating is enough!
All reviews are much appreciated.
The more of these we get, the more people will notice PAC-rom once they join the Xperia Z development forum.

Thanks, but the work real dev's do is much more important for our device.
I'm just trying to build from sources that other people created for us.

Thanks, for your reply. doing that.
Is it enough if I add this:
Code:
<project name="TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_sony.git" path="vendor/sony" remote="github" revision="cm-10.1" />
to the roomservice.xml file in local manifests?
Tried to build again. Now it got to the PAC bootlogo with sony below it.
New logcat attached. Will someone be so kind to look at it?
Thanks
Update
Update: i flashed the boot.img from the latests FXP and now it has actually booted!!!
The UI is very small, and navigation bar is missing, but at least it has booted!
Still want to know why it's not booting using the generated boot.img from the build though.
My thoughts are it somehow got wrong with the kernel.
Thanks

As I believe, that is normal size of navigation bar, it is because you are using tablet mode.
Re: [ROM][WIP][Unofficial] PAC-MAN v22.0.1 [4.2.2]
Yea, i found that out while playing with the settings. I haven't found any bugs yet. Except for the usual cm10 bugs of course. But I'm sure someone will find them

Hey jeroenqui thank you so much for bringing this to the Z! I've been chomping at the bit to run some AOSP on this device. I've already played around with CM and AOKP a bit but have a couple of questions for you.
Are you going to maintain this regularly as a unofficial build?
Do you recommend using the CM gapps or PA gapps?

Hey I'm not sure yet, but I'm starting to like this. As I said this is my first build of pac, but I'm going to dig into it to polish it. When it's stable I'll see what requirements are needed for becoming a device maintainer. Did you actually flash this build yet? What do you think?
If you use a lot of custom dpi's on google apps, i recommend the pa gapps.
I plan to regularly build updated (test) builds and release them publicly as long as people like it.

That sounds great, the Z is perfect for PA. I haven't flashed it yet but I'm about to. I've used PA on the GNexus, HOX, SGS3, N10, N4...
Can you tell it's my favorite? Actually it's the only rom that cures my flashing compulsion I'd be happy to give you some feedback once I get it going. Thanks again!
Wow! this is going to be awesome. Honestly if the phone didn't go black screen whenever on a call like it does on every AOSP build I'd use it as my daily. Everything seems to working as it should from the hybrid engine except that the max dpi for apps is 240. I think the default for the z on stock is 400-420? Besides the WIP stuff, Camera, GPS, etc., it's great, blazing fast and lean. Really nice so far thanks for building this jeroenqui! I'm happy to test any new builds as they become available.
Re: [ROM][ALPHA][Unofficial][4.2.2][CM][AOKP][PananoidAndroid] PAC v22.0.1 - Update:
Yea it's stuff like this I'm going to polish. I'll find some time for it and share new builds publicly here. Thanks for the feedback. I'm using it as my daily driver now, so I'm sure I'll stumble upon new bugs or weird things.
Did you flash the boot.img from fxp211 or did it work right away?

Hi everything is grt but can u PLZZ , add recent modifications like Oreo recents with memory bar and font settings also and clock font at lockscreen and style changeable location as rule like device only battery savings etc
And replace Snapdragon cam with Google camera if possible
And plzz add toggle for lockscreen visualiser
....these are only things which I felt missing....otherwise Ron is grt
I noticed there is a lot of useless space between network bar of both Sims but it automatically disappears when I enable data on ,,,, pls remove that in next build..and a lot of status bar padding is present remove that too PLZZ.
Edit: space between network bars got fixed ( dont know how , maybe bcuz of replacing ims apk or updating dialer call.)

Hi there
Well I used to get mails from nokia xda forums whenever any user post something or comment anything on my current xda Threads but the reason behind not replying for those particular comments because no time point number 1 , also I used to work on 6 nokia phones so If I do something I will definitely bring the same for remaining 6 nokia phones so here I never ignore any comments but I will reply only for the questions related to bug and also if I get the same question based on same bug and my answer will be in the next changelog
Example bluetooth audio bug
Here many users asked about this so just replied them with changelog
Also I clearly mentioned a to z in my xda threads again asking same question about the one which I already mentioned in my threads doesn't make any sense?
Hope everyone understand !
Regards
Raghu Varma
Well, if I'm using some other GSI ( Descendant X ). What did you do to fix the bluetooth audio ?
Can we implement it in other GSIs ? Or can you release a seperate fix zip file for that if possible ?
Thanks.

What's the proper way to update (dirty flash) from the previous version to the latest one?
Unfortunately, flashing the new ROM, switching the active slot and restarting is a NO-GO. The phone wont boot at all.
Hi
Is there a Derpfest ROM based on Android 11 for the Nokia 7 plus? I checked on the images posted here nokia-sdm660.github.io but the link to the Derpfest 11 community alpha for the 7 plus goes to a broken link on gitlabs website.
Any pointers? Please let me know.
Thanks

Notes:
- Formatting data and clean flash are required if you come from android 12. Please do not update through OTA if you are on android 12.
- Partition scheme has been switched to retrofit dynamic partitioning because polaris is running out of system partition space. No actual re-partition is involved. Instead, the physical system and vendor partition is mapped together to form a logical "super" partition. The size of super partition equals the sum of the physical system and vendor partitions. After that, logical system and vendor partitions are created on top of this super partition. In this way, we are essentially redistributing space between the physical system and vendor partition to accommodate for the increase in size of system libraries and prebuilt apps.
- Encryption is enabled.
- The firmware is included with a different keymaster.img from perseus. DO NOT flash your own firmware.
- Formatting data and flashing with EvoX is verified and recommended by me. The latest release of OrangeFox recovery for dynamic partitions may work as well. If you encountered issue using OrangeFox, please contact OrangeFox maintainer for support.
- To switch to other ROMs, format data in EvoX recovery first, and then install another recovery. You may need to re-flash the required firmware, if the ROM you are going to flash does not include one.

It has OTA support so it technically should work
This rom is great ... Good battery life like pixel ROM and lots of features
Does anyone have any comparison of this rom to stock miui in SOT? If I have had an unlocked bootloader I would have installed this rom but this time I want to be sure since I can't relock it.

Why can't you relock it? Xiaomi's flash tool allows you to fastboot flash MIUI and then lock bootloader again.
Also asking other users for SOT is not really helpful, because everybody uses their differently.

Thank you, great ROM. Everything working fine, great battery life.
I have only one issue: after closing phone app I have a notification about an ongoing call for the next 3-4 seconds. Not always. Any ideas?

Better battery than PE or LOS. Still have plenty of juice left in the evening.
Hey @jjpprrrr! Coming from LineageOS Android 9, I'm kinda used to set the "Preferred network type" under Network and Internet > Mobile network > Preferred network type and having all options there. Can I enable it, instead of setting it using *#*#4636#*#* like in the second image?

I don't think so. That might be a move on Google's side.

There is no "official" tag for this rom. And it's not required anyway. I have mentioned "unofficial" in title just to avoid confusion for people who think this is same as Los official..

Read "installation instruction".. while updating from previous version i usually wipe system vendor and cache, then flash rom and Gapps.
Hei hk96
Many thx for this lovely Rom. I have installed it yesterday and it really work very smooth.
I updated it from Lineage OS 16 - I know, once I like a Rom I like to leave the phone. Never change a working phone
However, I struggled a bit with the installation: After flashing the Rom and Nik GApps, the phone always rebooted into TWRP again.
Only flashing the Rom then Lineage OS has started normally. So I tried to figure it out where the problem came from. Even with another GApps (open GApps), I had the same problem.
I could finally solved it after installing Rom and GApps, then make a Factory Reset on TWRP. Afterwards, the phone started as expected. Not sure if this is the usual case as I don't flash often. But if anyone struggling as well, this may help.
Thx again and enjoy it.

If you are coming from other ROM, it is mostly required to perform a clean flash (FORMAT Data partition), then flash.
Enjoy the ROM
