After some long Google searching and typing in different stuff, I find out its Rogers. I have no clue what this guy is doing with a Canada phone in Michigan. Can't trust people now a days lol

That's a good thing! Pay a few bucks to sim unlock it, and you can unlock the bootloader too on moto's site.
As long as the radio bands are compatible with your carrier.

I actually told cellunlocker that my phone was att and then I realized it was Rogers, I tried the code still and it worked. I get LTE on T-Mobile.

Should I switch or not?

So I just moved to US and my brother got my the worst Sprint phone ever. I seriously want to upgrade. I had a look at the Sprint store and I am eligible for the upgrade in 2014 which sucks. I can buy a replacement phone from Sprint but they have super crazy prices over there.
So my next option was to buy a used one online. So I found some great deals for used ones and I am satisfied with them. But here comes the dilemma.
My friend told that I could get a TMobile Sim card for a $0.99 (http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/prepaid-phone/T-Mobile-Prepaid-SIM-Activation-Kit) and then use any GSM unlocked phone.
So the Question is whether I should switch to tmobile and go pre-paid OR buy a used one right now and then after 2 years be more happy!
What would you guys do?
Thanks

You can't use a T-Mobile SIM card in your Spirit phone so either way you need buy a used phone. (Whether it's a Sprint compatible one or a T-Mobile one). Personally, I hate CDMA phones. I'd go with T-Mobile.

Anyone get a C6906 from Nergi Eletronics?

Ordered this weekend and got my phone today, got it crazy fast, unfortunately get a prompt to enter a code because the phone is sim locked even though Nergi stated it was unlocked? They told me I have to wait a few days now for them to get the unlock code, very depressed. Phone seems amazing and I can't use it. Went to ATT and got a new SIM card and all, still wouldn't work.
Anyone find a way to get their phone unlocked quicker? I'd rather not wait the 2-3 days Nergi told me it would take.....
Does the one you got seem to be sim locked to a canadian carrier since that's the only country with c6906 officially? any carrier branding on it? Keep us updated on how it goes I was interested in buying from them as well since it's available cheap to the US.
I got a c6906 a day ago.purchased from an eBay seller.
I am using it on straight talk.
One thing I noticed is when I have to restart the phone, it would say "orange ". Guess that would be a network carrier for some country.
Not sure if I can remove that branding or not.

Orange is European - they don't operate up here in Canada.
Are you certain your phone is C6906 and not C6903?

The keyboard seems to want to default to Canadian English, so it seems to be sourced from there. Kind of annoyed they didn't have unlock codes ready. Now Nergi is telling me end of the week. Paid for overnight shipping too :crying:

[Q] Motorola MOTO X Developer Edition

i want to know if this Motorola X developer will work with att?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorola-MO...1144549540?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item2ed52640a4
I hope someone can help me out here.
Yes, but don't count on getting an LTE data connection. Voice and HSPA should work fine.

The GSM Dev Edition and GSM Unlocked (shps with T-Mobile or Net10 sim) are both the XT1053, and will work on ATT just fine.
Keep in mind the XT1053 is missing support for LTE Band 5, which ATT is now using in some areas. So if that is the only band ATT is using for LTE in your area you wont get LTE with the XT1053, but you will fall back to Hspa/Hspa+
The XT1053 is also missing support for LTE band 7 which supposedly isn't being used in the USA.
That being said, my sister-in-law is using a GSM Unlocked (XT1053) in south eastern PA on ATT just fine for everything, including LTE.

While your info is relevant, the phone linked in the OP is the VZW Dev editon. @blackviper71 's post was correct regarding that device. Moot-point though, because the device is already sold.

That's about two MB per second on a play store download and my S3 used to average around that much...can someone shed some light?

It may be both. I'll have to chat with AT&T and see what they say. It is maybe my phone? I read that the XT1053 is missing certain LTE bands that the XT1058 has. But then again like I said, my S3 had the same speeds.

Here's what I found from GSMarena... There's 850 for LTE missing it looks like... I think I'm reading that correctly? Lol

Haha I know how you feel.. I've got at&t too on my xt1053 but rarely around LTE so haven't noticed.. And welcome

I actually used to live in Cleveland, but moved back to the DC area about a year ago. I remember getting two to three times the speeds you're getting on LTE, but then again, I was using an iPhone 5 back then.
Bought a Moto X Developer Edition XT1053 and have been getting strong LTE coverage so far within the DC metro area.

From what I've read the Verizon model is locked down, just like the AT&T model.

where did you read the information that big red's z2 is locked down?...
Im trying to decide to purchase, if bootloader is unlockable. On this forum, I've seen a couple of members confirm that At&t is locked down, but haven't read anything about vzw.
Thanks.

I wouldn't think there would be a difference between buying a Verizon branded phone from Motorola or Verizon. Who knows though. I'm currently waiting for the down payment I made on the att one to be refunded so I can buy and unlock a T-Mobile variant. I think I actually prefer the gray to the black anyway.
