So whats the big deal in 2 carbon threads? Many devices have 2 or more threads of the same roms.
nd regarding original development, yes it's not and the mods will move it. regarding your quote, kindly keep it personal to the dev.

do as u wish bro...but when there's 2 different threads of same rom its cuz it builded with different toolchain or mods are not exactly the same...there's "no big deal" bro and any problems...as i said, do as u wish then!

I had 3 problems after flashing this rom. First, the keyboard freezes and sticks on the screen when swiping. A temporary resolution was to uninstall the stock keyboard and download the Google keyboard from the play store. Second, sometimes the phone enters sleep mode and it doesn't turn back on. The menu and back keys light up when I try to turn the screen on but the screen stays blank. Third, the gallery shows blank content a few seconds after using it. Please look into these problems!

As was mentioned: gapps are probably to blame. If you're not using PA Gapps you should try those - mini modular package for example.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Second problem I haven't noticed - are you on stock kernel? I am using Alucard's as KT's is giving me problems with min/max values not sticking and getting stuck at a very low frequency on Carbon. Has great functionality like USB mass storage mode.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590246
Third problem not happening here either. You could try using Quickpic as an alternative, though. Best gallery available in my opinion.
Maybe try a clean flash with pa gapps and alucard kernel. That setup works like a charm for me.

I'm using stock kernel. I'm gonna try using the suggested gapps to see if everything will be resolved.
I also noticed the "adjust brightness using status bar" feature isn't on this rom. Will this be implemented any time soon?

awsome Rom
Been using Carbon Rom for a long time. This one is GREAT as usual.
Thank you for all the hard work.
Amazing rom. No issues at all so far which isn't to bad for an early nightly! Regarding GAPPS, I use the one from Broodplank's thread. Works perfectly.

Tested this morning and all seems to be working well. For some reason I was getting Google Keyboard FC but that's probably something to do with the GAPPS I flashed. There are so many versions floating around, I don't know which one to use day by day lol. But all in all this rom is sweet. Carbon was always one of my favorite roms on my Note II.
Seems like some of the carbon goodies are missing, but I'm sure they are on the way.
Try gapps 20140105.

Yea. 5/10 working good on my vzw M8. Data works. WiFi works but like all other AOSP ROMs, it does not always stick after a reboot. Everything else has been solid for the past 2 hours. Will test BT later.
Solid so far. Thanks for bringing it to us.
I have seen numerous posts in various forums about how 4.4.2 AOSP ROMs have radio issues with the M8. Out to dinner and here is my speed test on 4G running Carbon.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

I always use Philz, AFAIK recovery won't make a big difference over here. I might wait for others to post their issues and then make a fresh build
Re-flashed and checked again...

Re-flashed the ROM and checked again for the ringtone issue. It is not giving any ring for SIM 2 but it vibrates. If tried to check sim settings in Phone app menu's settings it FC the phone app. There is no application to play audio files also but video works smooth. Sound is working OK. It seems both Sim tool kit are also not working. SS attached...
Any way great work dev. If SIM 2 data works will always prefer this ROM till L comes...

Hello @DC07,
Please, would you tell me, if this ROM works with HTC One M7 dual-sim 802W (M7CDUG) Model? I'm disappointed with the lack of custom roms for it..
Alternatively, could I flash this kernel with the Carbon ROM for the M7?
Thanks
Regie
Can you read which device it is for?

Do not try it!!
It could brick your phone.
You can request a developer with your device to build it.

Validus
Kernel source code: kernel_apq8064
Thanks to the authors of this ROM's for free access to their source code.
Special thanks to airlessproject for his invaluable assistance.
P.S.
I collect these versions for my acquaintances, because currently, all these projects are already unavailable for our model.
Nice to see it here ^^ Are you going to try build Android M for Z?

I doubt, that this will happen soon.
Small tip - these all all Ground Zero Rom's, so you could update the thread title to be more specific (unless you plan on adding non GZR builds later of course).
Nice work.

Only Validus and Tesla are GZR
RR is not GZR [emoji6]
Also @BrateloSlava it seems you are doing daily builds
Is it for testing purposes are it will be like this way?
Whoops! Right you are sir
Sent from Xperia Z via Tapatalk
@BrateloSlava Thanks for the builds! How about a changelog for the changes you made.
I have no plans to release daily builds. I periodically review project files of this ROM's. If there is something interesting - I make the build. I also run a new build of project, if I introduced some interesting patches to the kernel/device tree.
For example, today I "spied" two patches, and introduced them to us. I hope that the first boot of today build RR/Tesla will make you happy.
It is also possible that the current build does not bring anything good.
thanks mate!
just tried your tesla build and using it now. feels great so far.
sounds like a good plan to do sporadic builds - go for it.
From today's build I've contradictory feelings. Seems bad.
Please, use previous build.

About changelog, new versions and others.
As I see, now only RR team have day-by-day updates, that they publish in they Git.
On this basis, I see a sense of releasing their versions more often. Though I like the Tesla, but I do not see any reason to use it. Validus, I don't even try to install. If you look at the number of downloads of my builds, the load of RR is three times higher than total number of downloads Tesla + Validus.
About changelogs. Anyone can visit the GitHUB of selected ROM and see a current list of patches. I see no reason to rewrite it.
I did a separate folder for kernel from my test branch. If anyone interested - they may install him via fastboot.
what are the important patches that are already in your test branch?
but: most likely my curiousity will win and i will try it anyway...
Good job. Tesla and Validus is best but, in Validus (top ROM) have two problems: 1. In titles icons icon Sync do not show (empty, only text). 2. Not running Kernel Audi... app for settings - after click in Settings no reaction.
keep updating tesla rom sir and please add notification tile :good:
Tesla - new build up.
Tesla developers not publish any recent updates. Therefore, in the my current build - only general updates (RIL, etc) and upgrades for the kernel.
Resurrection Remix - new build up.
Check RR git for list of new patches.
I'm not check RR/Valdus build myself, because I'm used Tesla. Please, send me info, if new build is incorrect.
Validus - new build up.
Validus developers not publish any recent updates. Therefore, in the my current build - only general updates (RIL, etc) and upgrades for the kernel.
