Introduction
Hey everyone! I've created this thread to be used as a reference point to all discussions regarding the LG L90. Collected information regarding our device will be available for everyone, and I'll continually update this post with details and such that we're informed of. Now, I'm going to need help regarding "lone wolf" threads that pop up from time to time. If you create a thread regarding something, provide a link to it on this thread, and I'll include it in the respective categories that I'm creating. Since this device is relatively new, there won't be much here to begin with - but since this device has an incredible price-to-quality ratio, I'm hoping that this thread will foster development and cooperation with our newly-found brothers and sisters here on xda.
The Optimus L90 is latest iteration of the L-series, being the third generation, it's the successor to the Optimus L9 II. The L90 is a feature-packed bang-for-your-buck device, with a quad-core processor, adequate camera, and sports LG's innovative "Knock-On" and "Guest Modes," all while running 4.4.2 KitKat, right out of the box.
There are four major known models of the L90.
D405 - International, no NFC.
D405n - International, NFC.
D410 - International, NFC (I believe)
D415 - America, NFC unknown (T-Mobile, Metro)

Visit this website, and download the .apk file to your device. Enable "Unknown Sources" (Settings -> Security) and open the file using a file manager. When it opens, tap install, and continue regardless of the "security warning" that Google brings up. Open up the application once installed, and tap the solitary button once. Wait a few seconds, and your device will reboot.
Next, install the most recent version of the SuperSU application. If the Play Store Version doesn't work, get the official version from Chainfire's site. Once SuperSU has been opened, tap Install and select the normal method. Congratulations on root!
KDZ Download Links -
Here is a guide on how to flash a KDZ file. These are officially packaged update files from LG themselves, and should be used in cases of emergency softbricks. A word of warning, these downloads aren't small. ( ~ 1 GB) If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to comment on the thread I've linked, or message me or @krchi. Best of luck! Be sure to have drivers installed. If you have yet to do so, you can pick up the Universal ADB Drivers here, credits to @Koush. If these methods don't work for you, head to the thread here by @creativetrendz. If all else fails, feel free to ask!

Recovery Mode -
We have access to custom recovery, thanks to @Quarx and the guys at 4pda.ru. If you speak Russian, I definitely recommend you check them out. Head to page 31 of this thread to find them attached in post 303! TWRP has a glitch where it won't recognize your touch input for a bit. Allow the screen to timeout, then unlock it and it will work fine. For me, and a few others, the recoveries aren't recognizing the internal or external memories - So, they're a bit useless, but some could make use of them. Can't hurt to try it out!
Tip - Going to TWRP Settings and settings the screen timeout to "15 seconds" (Or whatever the minimum amount is) will help alleviate you of some waiting time!

Tips -
- Use Google+ Photo's "Auto-Awesome" feature to remove/minimize the "fogginess" of some camera photos.
- Try using the "Knock-On" feature more, it's simple yet incredibly useful.
- Try settings the "Quick-Button" to your camera application, makes point/snap moments that much easier.
- Swipe left on the lockscreen clock to add widgets to it. Useful ones include Hangouts and Camera (accessed by swiping right)
- Set your "Plug and Pop" apps to include your music/audio/video apps when you connect earbuds (Play Music, Youtube)
- If you use a pattern lock, be sure to activate guest mode. Could come in handy.
- If you use a pattern lock, you can change the dot's "theme" in lockscreen settings.
- Swiping from the bottom center of the screen will reveal Google/Quickmemo shortcuts.
- Try alternate applications, such as Nova Launcher for your homescreen and Hangouts for your SMS.
- Tapatalk is an incredibly useful application, subscribing to threads notifies you of their updates.
- Set LG Backup to backup your personal data and apps every morning (2:00-4:00 AM) to external SD. Do it.
- Greenify is a must regardless of your root status.
- Disable the applications you don't use and clear their data. Carrier bloat is ewwy.
- Be sure to change your keyboard if you want a refresher, I recommend Google Keyboard.
If I've left anything out, or you want to see something that I should include, be sure to let me know. Looking forward to watching the community's development for this device continually grow.

The lovely 4X HD (P880 - Cyanogen JB) I bought in Taiwan last summer did that into a bucket of cleaning solution when I had to come back from overseas to clean up after the epic floods here in Colorado. It actually survived (lightning grab, rip back off, jerk out battery, let dry for a few days), but the power button never quite worked right after that. Otherwise, it was A-OK. Till it was crushed while working under a car...
Now on a perfect G2x that someone soft-bricked and sold on CL for $40. A few hours later it was rooted and 4.1.1 installed. The only OS that's open SSL vulnerable. Nice.
So want to do one of these L90's, but waiting till there's root access, then run to Bestbuy and snag one...

^ Here's to hoping a developer will take notice and help put an end to our plights!

Of course they are selling here quite successfully, which puts them in direct competition with Xperia M2 (~$337) and Galaxy Grand 2 (~$317) but the thing is that the L90 is cheaper at around $270 and it is an international variant

Nice! The T-mobile with encrypted/locked bootloader is 170USD here, cheaper, but not worth it since it's locked and not int'l. Last cell I bought in India was a Lava phone. Overheated just sitting on the table and burned out the display not much over a month after buying it...

Hey there, recently bought my LG L90 and happened to stumble upon this thread. Just a quick question about the Google keyboard you recommend: it seems I can't download it from the Play Store, it just doesn't come up in the search results. Am I supposed to download it off of somewhere else or is it just incompatible completely for some reason?

That's odd, you should be able to.

It just says it's incompatible, no details whatsoever.
EDIT: maybe it has something to do with country restrictions. Though that seems a bit strange...
Anyway, with a bit of research I downloaded an APK and installed it successfully.

Battling a locked bootloader on an L9 (P769) for the last few weeks has made me VERY weary of attempting the same on anything newer (like the L90), but I do want to try the L90 out. For my budget now (off and on out of work), it seems the best bang for the buck, but that's only if we can unlock it (and in a more reliable fashion than other bootloader hurdles...)

That's completely normal. Android keeps necessary services running in the background.
If you want to stop apps from starting (Like the totally useless CarHome), you can download programs from the market and "freeze" them.
You should not use Task Killer apps, as Android is designed to be dealing with tasks in the background on its own.

hmm okay, but if i dun have lg pc suite and i cant download through phone, even with wifi and all, what do i do ?
You can go to LG Mobile site and download PC Suite...xD
LG England said the update was released so at the very least its available in UK
i cant download pc suite since im on mac ! haha
Where did you hear that from? Just in case, I'm backing up my phone (I don't trust the LG software), and will see if an update is available for me.
Edit: I checked, and no update is available

Well LG Blog just tweeted me and said " Hi, there's been a few in the last month. Check - http://bit.ly/diMnoC "
So, basically a fob off and I'm sure there wont be an update when I get home.
Would like to be proved wrong though.
Hmm, well as you saw, I just tried, and it thinks that 10D is the most recent version. Just to check, I'm having a not very useful conversation with LG support via Livechat. . . progress so far. .
Mobile Phone Support: Hello, Ed . Can I help you with anything today?
Ed : Hi, I have an LG Optimus 2X with Software version 10D, and it's still
crashing, and having a black screen of death. When will the update that fixes
it be available?
Mobile Phone Support: Hi my name is Dave. How can I help you?
Ed : Hi, I have an LG Optimus 2X with Software version 10D, and it's still
crashing, and having a black screen of death. When will the update that fixes
it be available?
Mobile Phone Support: All Androids updates can be found online www.lg.com
Ed : That isn't answering my question.
Ed : Please can you tell me WHEN the update will be available? LG has
publicly announced that the fix has been released
Mobile Phone Support: So is the phone constantly crashing~?>
Ed : Not every day, but every week
Ed : It also randomly reboots
Ed : So does my wife's (who also has an Optimus 2X)
Ed : Hi, Dave, are you still there?
Mobile Phone Support: It sounds as though it may be a software error
and might need to be repaired
Ed : But LG has said that it has released a software update that fixes
it - e.g. see http://www.techradar.com/news/phone...ptimus-2x-black-screen-of-death-claims-955294
Mobile Phone Support: What country are u based in?
Ed : I'm in England, UK
Mobile Phone Support: Have you downloaded the PC suite and usb drivers?
Ed : Yup
Ed : http://imageshack.us/f/40/lgupdate.png/
Ed : And on your facebook page, when I posted the question. . .
Ed : LG UK – Life’s Good Hi Ed - thanks for your feedback. We have
determined the cause of the problem and have developed a software
maintenance update to remedy this. If you follow the link below
and follow the instructions, then this should sort the problem
out. Sorry for the inconvenience, and hope you enjoy the
phone's new lease of life

Ed : What I'd really like is two phones that work, without
having to fight with Carphone Warehouse (the retailer
I bought my phone from), so if you could arrange with
them to swap my two handsets, for two working ones,
I would then be a happy customer
Ed : Hello?
Ed : Are you still there Dave?
Mobile Phone Support: Sorry about that . We are having
some system problems on this side.
Ed : That's ok - did all of my messages get through?
Mobile Phone Support: I'm just catchinh up now. be with u
in amin
Ed : Ok, no worries
Mobile Phone Support: We will need to get the handset
booked in for the repair sir?
Ed : I don't understand, LG has stated that it's a software
problem, and that a release
has been fixed - my wife and I don't have spare mobile
phones to use whilst these handsets go in for repair. I
realise that you're in a difficult situation, having to deal
with irate customers, so please can you escalate this on
my behalf?
Mobile Phone Support: One moment please
Ed : Thank you
Mobile Phone Support: If the phone keeps on crashing it
would need to be booked in for repair. No escalation
can take place.
Ed : I'm shocked at the poor support LG is giving its
customers. It was me who passed the story to David Gilbert
at Trusted Reviews, and was then picked up by others including
Engadget. Obviously, as a customer, all I can do is complain
loudly, and not buy LG products again.
Ed : Unfortunately, I'm being driven to do both in this instance
Ed : If I book it in for repair, who pays for the shipping etc?
Will I have a mobile phone for the duration it's away?
Mobile Phone Support: What country are u based in?
Ed : England, UK
Mobile Phone Support: how old is the phone
Ed : I bought it in April 2011
Mobile Phone Support: We send out a bag with is prepaid.
Ed : But Carphone Warehouse are refusing to replace
the handset unless they see the fault, but as it's not
constant, it's impossible to make it happen in-store
Mobile Phone Support: 7-10 day official turn around,
but its normally quicker than that
Ed : And will I have to pay for a mobile phone to use
whilst mine is away for repair?
Mobile Phone Support: We do not supply spare handsets
Ed : So, I'm going to have to buy another mobile phone,
so I have one whilst mine is being repaired?
Mobile Phone Support: That is your choice sir
Ed : It's not much of a choice. Would you be happy?
Ed : If you bought an expensive mobile phone, only to
find out it (along with hundreds, if not thousands) was
defective, and you'd have to pay to get it repaired, and
still have a mobile phone.
Mobile Phone Support: I understand that you are not happy
and do symphise. However we can only give general
technical advice. Any personal comments should be
made in writing to LG Customer services
PO Box 645HuntingdonPE29 6YUAll comments are
taken seriously
Ed : Thank you, I will indeed contact them.
Mobile Phone Support: Do you require help with any other query?
Ed : How do I receive a prepaid bag for shipping?

No, the update to solve these issues, which are currently being tested by carriers, wont be out untill week 23-24 and it will then be available for all countries at the same time.
The support centres dont have this information and will allways just give a general answer of sending in for repair.

[Conspiracy Theory] - VZN "so called leak"

I'm a firm believer that VZN and LG both couldn't get figure out a method to properly secure KK. I think the final OTA will have some method to ruin someone's day. My opinion, VZN is having fits over the old bootstack booting the ROM. I also figure they wanted the root method from ioroot to try to close it as well. Talk amongst yourselves ?
I just can't buy that there was an accidental slip up by both companies. Seems they setup a situation and decompile everything the devs post.

Definitely a possible... Tho our devs have skills that border on the magical, and the power of collective knowledge is a wonderful thing haha.
But as far as VZW's predicament, I have no doubt that someone watches these forums, and curses over the extra dollars they'll have to spend on keeping their big red fingers locked tightly around our phones. As to whether it actually delays their official OTA, I'm sure they have deadlines to meet (esp. where the bloatware vendors are concerned), but it would be anyone's guess.
I'm just thrilled we have these leaks period. Even if the official OTA seals up security holes, this leak means a big boost to VS980 custom development!
The new KK leak seems odd, especially when some of its not even working correctly. I'm kinda stuck now. Device can get into Download mode but it just locks there.

You ever think maybe they release it so devices get bricked and they gotta pay for new ones?
Well, if we're tossing out ideas...what if it got leaked so vzw could track who has 4.4 installed? Then they can red flag the rooters.
Today, I called to get a replacement. Speaker stoped working... she asked me if it was the original one I bought. I said Ya, then asked if I traded it or rooted it. I was Like, root? Lol...anyways, something on her end was flagging the phone. Of course, at the time of calling my phone was 100% stock. But I DID have 4.4 installed..replacement is in its way but still..more complicated then I expected

I don't really believe it, but I've seen some say VZW knows what apps you've installed. I saw a user once say they told him exactly what root apps he currently had. If that's true, some root app you've installed at some point may have flagged it. Or she was a liar. Lol. To be honest...once it was confirmed that you could downgrade and keep Loki on the other variants, I'm surprised LG didn't pull the Sprint rollout.
When the KK kernel source was "accidentally" leaked early after the devs were having problems with trying to create a zip rom from the KK leak and needed that info, that's is when my eyebrows were raised....lol. I was like, that's too much of a coincident. Somebody" was reading and listening to our cries....lmao. Nevertheless, thank you to whoever it was.
Tinfoil hat, anyone?

Lol, well she was definitely not lying. I didn't want to pry to much on what the issue was. Playing ignorant is sometimes the best rout but my guess is the Mac ids or sns from the day I bought the phone to now changed. She just kept saying "something is preventing me from sending you a replacement, are you sure you didn't trade phones with a friend or something?"

Serial number is hardware level. Not possible unless you actually were swapped. They don't check it until old one is sent back, which is why you are given a purchase clause on returns. I'll assume your account was a bit jacked up if she wasn't lying, otherwise, liar.
Maybe Verizon wanted to wait for the knock code update to release KK instead of releasing it and then putting out another update right away for knock code.

You said in the other thread that you wiped your Rom in recovery, not really conspiracy related just an accidental goof on your part.happens to the best of us.

I don't know if it was necessarily a leak; I pulled it off their servers and published the link here one xda like a week back. It took us a few days but @xdabbeb found a way to trick our devices into taking that OTA. One thing I find suspicious is that it hasn't been taken down yet, which means it *might* be our official, it just hasn't had the green light yet. Also, the kernel source is still alive (direct link download) it just has the link removed.
Agreed. At the very least I think it was intended to be the official release. Whether they're holding off on pushing it to everyone because of a last minute issue they found or internal delays is anyone's guess. I tend to believe it's the latter.

Liar? About what lol what is there to lie about. It was just an interesting conversation that kind of applied to this thread. And by the way, when I said serial number I was referring to the IMEI which, like the mac address is supposed to be unchangeable and yet there have been cases where they changed. But like I said, I don't know what the issue was. And obviously wasn't that big of a deal because my new phone is on its way

When I quit working for VZW a couple years ago, the systems we used listed all the software/update/PRL version info of the software you had installed on your phone. It seemed that a lot of that info was based on the updates your phone pulled from the servers, and I never saw anything that actually indicated root status. However, they are constantly updating their capabilities so I wouldn't put it past em. I am of the opinion that most manufacturers don't check all that closely for root, at least if the phone is on a stock rom. I have never actually heard or read online of a VZW customer whose phone got rejected purely because it was rooted.

I don't think it was rooting but maybe my update status. Example, my warranty date on the phone 2/4/2014. This is located in hardware information, hardware not software. I'll assume the warranty date is assigned the day you buy your phone. Now, it's changed. Point is, if that's changed what else could have changed

The LG gPad 7 V400 Lollipop 5.0.2 is out!! !!

I just checked and it's there
Yes man!
I just received the OTA notification 20 minutes ago and I installed it immediately! Now the tablet is updating apps, still a few minutes..
I have LG G Pad 7 WiFi only..
I can confirm, I've installed update yesterday. The only problem is the lack of space on the device (I had to uninstall many apps and clear temp files for update to proceed to the end), but this is minor issue, and i knew about this (change to ART). I was really hoping for OTA to at least 5.0, so i'm very happy with my choice right now (other option for me was Dell Venue).
Yeppa! Update completed, Lollipop on board!
First (negative) thing I noticed is an issue that also appears on LG G2 (I updated it 2 days ago): clearing Recent apps requires quite a second.. I can clearly see the round progress bar in that second.. Don't know why but I hope they'll fix..
A question to who is still on KK: how much physical space does System Data take? You can see it from Settings / Storage / Misc. Lollipop takes 4.20 GB, but I don't remember how much did KitKat..
Thanks guys..

can someone dump system from Lollipop 5.0.2 and upload it somewhere?

why not? I did, and it was one of the reason why I bought it! LG always said that the entire G Pad tablet line would have received Lollipop, and they keep their promise!
Funny for me was that usually I always read OTA / firmware update online and then receive it or manually flash (just like for example Nexus 7, LG G2, OnePlus One, all the Samsung Galaxy line etc): this is maybe the first time (except the Froyo/Gingerbread days) the OTA notif really surprised me!! Funny!

I bought it on sale and I watched good reviews, so I didn't buy it expecting an update.
Also, since day 1 it felt like a second line: there was the Pad 8.3 and 10.1, which were "famous", and then this 7.0 popped up with no publicity at all. Not really available almost anywhere (Spain), not many news or forums about it, so I didn't expect to have an update for a non-famous product.
And finally, it works soooooo good I didn't need an update. But of course, I can't resist an update, even less if it's Lollipop (the reason I bought my Nexus 5).
I check once a month anyway, and I googled V400 lollipop an hour ago just "for fun" and I saw this thread, and I was like :cyclops:
Anyway I'm really glad LG kept supporting it!

Hey. Just download LG PC Suite (used Windows) and click Check Updates on the pc suite with the tablet connected. The Suite will show you the update after a few minutes and will update via usb.
It's updating apps on bootup now, but it's lollipop and doesn't seem to have wiped (based on the number of apps being updated).
Good luck

just like me, same history.. except that on November (or maybe October??) I read news about LG explaining which phones and tablet would have been update.. the G Pad 7 was there!!
I have to admit that I never loved LG beforethe last 2 years: then I bought the G2 and I started to reconsider the thing.. the G2 is a superb device! Then LG released G3 G Flex 2, G Pad 8.3 and a few entry level phones.. What I still like is the fact that all the LG smartphones look totally different from the competitors ones, even the Bello, Joy entry entry entry entry level devices! And that narrowed bezel on the G2? Amazing!!
And so, this is the story about I started to lie LG!
And when two months ago we decided to buy a new tablet choices were he Asus MeMoPad, Asus FonePad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite and G Pad 7. It was not a real matc, no way! G Pad 7 won!

Since I just use it to read some news in bed and not so much, didn't keep updated on it, as I do with the phone.
But I agree with you. I had the LG Optimus Black and after it didn't love LG. Looked cheap and bad. But these last couple of years they are doing great. These tablets and the G3 generation is just awesome. I fell in love with the G3S (G3 mini) although for update matters I ended up with the Nexus (which is LG lol...)
Lollipop for LG7 V400
Great I got lollipop by flashing the firmware again because of root in Android Kitkat but now I lost my root and powelroot doesn't work in Lollipop .
Anyone has a solution????????????????
Thanks Guys for your help

Samsung is permanently crippling the Note 7 in the U.S.

You knew it was coming in the USA and it looks like December 19 is the day.

What's to stop people from not accepting this update just like the previous one? Unless it's a forced update it won't really change anything

When you reboot the device it will do the updates on one of the reboots. This is true even if you "delayed" the update.
There is a way to prevent the previous update (you can see on this forum). Unless they found a way around that work around good chances that the same work around would work for this update. I would recommend doing the work around now and before this update.
The work around for previous update. Hope this will work for this update too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-note-7/how-to/updated-limited-to-60-heres-fix-t3495293
I read someplace today that Samsung made a request to the makers of all package disablers on the Playstore to block the Note 7 from being able to take advantage of this... I'll try and find the article.
The one i found isnt supported by the playstore and still has the update packages. Look at the link JaguarXT posted
I highly doubt all the apps are getting on board. I used titanium to block a lot of samsung crap before this and I never got the last update and I won't get this update either.
According to what I read, T-Mobile will be pushing the update on December 27th, that's what CNET is reporting. It also mentions the dates for AT&T as well as Sprint.
Yep I got text from tmobile says starting 27 phone won't be able to charge so turn it in.
Looking like it's time to find a replacement, sadly nothing seems up to par
It will seem like a bold change from what I know and am used to but I'm considering the Honor 8. The specs don't seem to bad for the price point. But it's definitely not a Note 7. I was thinking about going back to the Note 5 but I don't even see it available on the T-Mobile website anymore.

That's because you had the good foresight to root, unlike some of us (pointing at myself). Samsung strong-armed all the package disabler devs on the Play Store to no longer block System apps! The way around it was then to purchase the new version anyway and obtain a license, uninstall, then side load an older version. But then in another update even that route was blocked by no longer granting licenses or something. Then someone provided another app independent of the Play Store to side load which is what is being referred to above. It's gotten nasty!!!! Our ranks will shrink further as those who are severely technically challenged fail to take measures to block this update. Personally, I can't help but wonder/worry if Sammy has some type of back door, but that's the conspiracy theorist in me, lol!

Why? You should have just kept the Note7 until the S8 came out... now you have an obsolete phone in 3 months.
I still have the Note 7, the s7 edge worked out in my favor actually. They gave me a Gear VR and now when the next phone drops I'll give my wife the s7 edge. She still has an S5 so it will be a nice upgrade for her.
I'm lost dude. So I have the second version of the Note 7, you know, the one that was supposed to not malfunction. Model # SM-N930T with T-Mobile. OK, so my phone did receive the forced update that make my battery charge to only 60%, I was able to use ODIN and put back the stock firmware, I installed PACKAGE DISABLER PRO and blocked the necessary items needed so I am now at 100% battery life. How is it that we know that is still not enough to block this new update that is coming to cripple the Note 7??? Maybe we are still safe, or is it FACT that it WILL still be forced even though we have the updates and tmobile and Samsung items blocked? Also, with what I have explained, can my phone still be rooted and install a custom ROM or am I too late or second version of Note 7 it was never possible???? Someone please help, I am not a noob, I have been installing custom ROMs since Galaxy S2, but at the same time I am no PRO. All info will help me and the community clarify this sticky situation. PLEASE HELP. AND THANK YOU ALL!!!!! I'm not 100% sure but the steps with package disabler that you've done should allow you to not have to worry about the new update coming through, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
As for rooting you're out of luck, only the original firmware that shipped with the phone was rootable. After that, this is as good as it gets for us firmware wise
Thnx

It works both ways around -
NO WAY..Im down to try anything to help. i got the 21 ultra tmobile unlocked
1st to be done is modify odin accordingly. it will need to be modified before hand to simplify the process for end users and reduce risk of fck ups. After that its simply implementing the code i already have.

All up to the latest, BL5. I need someone with an S22 to test it very soon. very likely this method will allow S22 BL unlock too. it seems quite universal according to some of the contributers on Github
Great news!
This is awesome news! Just figured I'd ask considering currently only up to v1 is available for unlock and I believe that's paid only so didn't want to get my hopes up with having up to the Feb update v5 and it only work for say v4 lol

This will be free, full stop. The process im working on uses Legit Samsung/Qualcomm Dev resources to unlock the BL without triggering knox/screwing up "Secure Apps" like Samsung pay etc, but is also the reason its taking so long to finish. Essentially trying to replicate the "factory process" the engineers use to unlock their BL's during R&D.
This is very promising and you guys are awesome for all the hard work you put in!
I've been kicking myself since realizing only v1 could be unlocked prior. Was actually about to sell off my current factory unlocked S21 ultra and jump ship to RedMagic/ROG. Only hold back for either was the OS on both.
Still may if after dumping samsung's bloatware this thing doesn't stop heating up. Not exactly happy being stuck tethered to a cord using a "phone cooler" to even watch a video (pnp) & use Amazon. Let alone the space the bloat I don't use takes up.

If your phone is overheating check out an app called "Alliance Sheild X" - use it to open some of the internal engineer apps in the "Device Keystring" app. Just be CAREFUL playing with options - look up some of the settings you find, i know for fact there's some in there related to battery/charging current/ display voltage etc. again, use with caution, but if your technically inclined you might find some options that will help you accomplish lowering your devices temps as well as increasing battery life.

Alliance Shield X uses a zero touch config with Knox Configure so device owner persists after factory reset, as well as reflashing firmware (nand erase included). The flash will appear to have been successful to the naked eye but alas, it will still be managed. The files exists in whichever part of the dynamic partition (A/B) is not in use, I wouldn't recommend using it. Looking forward to the BL unlock, awesome news to hear & appreciate your work immensely.

Not meaning in terms of flash, but simply to use hidden system processes to have more granular control of battery etc. lots of hidden features on these phones. I just simply prefer ASX to find said hidden features in Device keystring, RLZDebug, Google Partner Setup, PreConfig, etc. used in conjunction with a desktop program you can find here on XDA, or simply ADB shell, you can do quite a bit of manipulation.
Also, DEX seems to have some interesting hidden bits too.

What Dex hidden bits did you find? Could you post or DM a screenshot?
