I must have done something wrong because my touchscreen is not working. I'll try again tomorrow and post the results.

Thanks for the hard work. I've been holding off on trying Tizen as I wanted a way to come back to Android if not happy.

Been patiently waiting for a downgrader as the last one didn't work. Glad to see someone got it working.
Hopefully touch works with this one.

I did exact as it says and touch didn't work.
After flashing a 2nd time and NOT going to recovery menu and letting it reboot both times i did get touch working.
THANKS
So yes this IS a working downgrader.

It works. I flashed 3 times, until touch worked. Thank you!

I reflashed but every time I tried to get to recovery it would go in to an infinite reboot sequence. Finally flashed TWRP and it booted in to recovery, now it works. So the key is to flash again if touch doesn't work the first time.

For flash the .tar file I must be in download mode, right?
Thanks for your big job
I'm sorry for my bad english, I'm Italian

I wonder how hard it would be of at all possible to alter the original android gc1 rom to support the gc2 hardware and using the downgrade to clone such a proccess to install android instead of tizen... in term of hardware they are more then close.. and both run on linux kernel at base level, but my knowledge of the intricate details of such a task are limited so I am not even sure how possible my technically lacking thought are in practice... or if it is, a near impossibility/very hard/or close to easy..?!

hi ,
i wanted to see for myself if i could flashback .( Tizen to Android).??
Followed OP post, Jijonhyuni (exactly as set out in his instructions .in post #1)
No problem .!
touch working etc ..
Thank you Jijonhyuni ( for alternatives o/s choices !)
Post note
... about Tizen experience..?
Samsung wants you to upgrade/bully you to Tizen ?
but overall no alternative apps ( very, very limited ) ,o/s is smooth ,battery ..ok.
So to me untill they start providing worthwile apps etc ,
i will in the meantime enjoy the Android experience and sideload all my favourite apps !!
Only when i start reading in these forums positves (!! )
i will flash back to Tizen
Good luck to all.
further post note..
Landed back on MK7( ?).. and flashed back to latest Android... NC1
Good to hear my "Caynax hourly time "
(voice time app )announcing time for me without me looking at watch..
Played around and set Watchstyler watchface. etc
One diffs i notice again..is that the Android quality of watchfaces overall ,
seems to be so much clear /better than Tizens ?

While I don't currently have any intention of using this (I'm loving tizen), it's is great to know this exists as a safety net for those holding off on trying the other OS...
Thanks for your hard work and congratulations on cracking this nut!

Thanks, I will try

Many thanks for all your hard work, got my gear the way I like it, and with the ability to use watch styler my favourite app, with all the great themes posted on xda.
When tizen is a little more established I might swap again.

Feel free to stay on Android forever. When Samsung moved to Tizen for the Gear 2's they could have left the GG1 on Android with no future updates. And if abandoned, existing third party apps would eventually die from neglect and no new one's would ever be written. There's hope for the latter with the move to Tizen. I thought for sure GG1 owners would be screwed when it was confirmed the Gear 2's were Tizen. In all my time following Samsung this is the first where they actually gave a crap about owners of earlier devices when they (Samsung) shifted strategy. They deserve applause for what they did with the GG1, not *****ing. If people are pissed about the strategic decision to move to Tizen that's very different from Samsung ensuring that their wearables early adopters (us) weren't thrown under the bus.

Finally I can get back to android now, thanksss.
I have one problem, my windows explorer not show my gear drive, anyone have same issue?

For some reason after I flash this ROM w Phil's cwm it won't allow access to custom recovery after booting. Even powering down and button combo simply reboot device onto OS rather than recovery. Strange. I really don't see anything that was debloated. All the Sammy apps are there with no option to leave them out in aroma. I even flash Phil's through Odin again and reflashed rom to make sure I didn't accidentally bypass an option in aroma. That's as far as I've gotten so far. I went to flash supersu but cannot get back to recovery so time to flash through Odin again. I'm getting damn good with Odin using this tab by the way!

The Tab 3lite is your Tab SM-T110, so is this The right one for you.
Minor wifi issues
Hi, thanks for this ROM. :good: It seems to be 'mostly' working fine. However, I find the WIFI a bit buggy. If the 'tab' is in sleep mode, when you start using it again the wifi doesn't always wake-up.
I often have to turn off/on the wifi to get it working again.
No major problem but possibly something to fix for next release.
thanks
@xXWeresXx.
Most important feature we need for this tablet is a loud volume mod. The volume is so low that I watch movies on my s4 instead of the tablet bcuz I cant hear it on the tablet. Will definitely try this rom tonight
Thanks for making the rom. Really glad we got a couple people building for the t110 now
Are you watching videos strapped to the bottom of a train or something? I can lay my tablet on top of my blanket and I hear it crystal clear. This is probably one of the best ROMs for this tablet, stop *****ing about one mod, people mentioned it a few times already if he wants to add it he will. If not add it yourself but don't keep *****ing and cause him to stop doing this ROM.

Hey girl what's the point of your response? If myself and many other people say we can't hear sound from the speaker than why would we make it up. If I ask a dev for a sound mod why do I need a non dev to tell Me it's Loud enough. If u have nothing helpful to post than just Dont post

Because posting it multiple times is badgering and doesn't do anything but annoy devs. Did you trouble shoot the problem by doing a factory wipe and install like instructed to? Or just simply assume its broke and needs a mod

No we have 3 Rom threads for the t110. So yes I posted once in each that we needed a volume mod. Nothing is broke. Like I said the volume is extraordinarily low. The Speaker is capable of putting out a lot more sound than it does.
And why would I do a wipe to get my volume up. Nothing is wrong with my device. I dont see a point in talking with you. I know my ****. Ive been rooting and running roms on devices since the original galaxy s all the way to the s4 currently. Im not a dev and neither are you. But I'll feel free to request mods whenever I feel the need to.
Thats what xda is all about
Followed steps wisely.
Stuck in boot animation (different color lines appearing and disappearing) for about 5 minutes. Nothing else happens.
Soft brick, mabye? How can I bring my tablet back to life?

New in v2.1:

2- Download Odin 3.09
3- in AP field select the ROM file;
4- Press start and wait till finish..
DOWNLOAD
HOWTO:
In order to use all the customization options you need to use sdb:
1- enable USB debug in the watch settings;
2- connect the watch to the PC and open a shell
3- navigate to the folder where u put the sdb binary and then:
Code:

Code:
setup-folder.sh
...this script create some folders on your gear mass-memory, accessible from windows or linux, just copy your ringtones, alarms, alerts, fonts into the relative folders.
- The custom boot and shutdown animations must be copy into the root and must be renamed to poweron.edj and poweroff.edj
- The icons must be renamed like the ones u find in the simple theme attached at this post ( take care of the size);
...then do these commands to install your stuff:
Code:
install-ringtones.sh
Code:
install-alarms.sh
Code:
install-alert.sh
Code:
install-shutdownanimation.sh
Code:
install-bootanimation.sh
Code:
install-theme.sh
Code:
install-fonts.sh
To adjust the cpu max freq and governor:
Code:
set-cpu-governor
Code:
set-cpu-maxfreq
.. a textual menu will be showed, select a number and press enter. The settings will stick over reboot.
Suggest are welcome.

Tnx... i'm working on this.
Other than themeing what other features are you planning?
What kind of control do we have over the device, can we mod the kernel and enable oc/uv, etc?
Could we finally extend the camera record time with full resolution?
Or are we limited to changes that can already be made with stock Rom and root?
This seems like a good start and I would be glad to see custom Tizen roms with added features.

Basically all the custom ROM based on stock firmware don't have anything more that you can do also with only root.
Said this, we can have a custom kernel also if I personally don't feel the need of over clock or undervolting. This doesn't mean that this will never be done.
BTW you gave me nice suggestion and I thank you for this

Not going to jump way off topic here, but..well, maybe a bit. Have you been happy with your G3? Mine is sluggish it seems. Mainly in the menus, draw and keyboard at times just stops for a good 5-10 seconds before I see the rest of my text I entered show up. Been contemplating returning it to t-mobile before my 14 days runs out. I tried it stock for a couple days, then tried both custom ROMs that are available for it all with the same results. Pretty sure it will be fixed with updates but when is my concern.

Mine is updated to 10g and goes quite well. I put animation scale to 0.5x and installed nova launcher. Stock keyboard don't work well, at least with the prediction, so i use android L keyboard.

I have rooted my G3 and using SphinX ROM. It's a lot less laggy than Stock. I think we just need to wait for bootloader unlock and we will ave developers jumping in with ROMs.

I run tizen on a g3, same as Skin1980 and I have almost everything working on the gear. I imagine it would be the same with you running cm vs tw. I prefer aosp builds but unfortunately they are not available yet for the g3 so I can't be of assistance with that for certain.
Great one! Waiting for theming.
can't wait to try this ROM, although i already get great battery life with Tizen and the Oneplus One.
Maybe we can have a longer video recording time??

Great work! Now we need a "Galaxy Gear Tizen Development" sub forum to start. I did send lilstevie (kernel dev from Android) a link to your thread as I'm hoping he is interested in deving up a kernel....fingers crossed. I'm also downloading and if you don't mind, i'm going to pick through the rom sort of like a base I guess. I'm still figuring out Tizen and appreciate what you shared. Thanks again. Looking forward to loading up new versions...

OK, for now you can disable the screen timeout completely. The bug isn't on my part and out of my scope, seems to be some incompatibility with mediatek framebuffer and this recovery. Google is open sourcing all the stuff slowly so things might take time to stabilize and be compatible with this new platform.
Flashed it and using it.. Till now no bug. Thanks for this recovery
This is a great. Phil's recovery available for us. Great work Varun.
@all: Can you clarify my queries. I have been using samsung and new to bootloader stuff.
1. When you unlock bootloader, does it notify of updated pushed by Google?
2. Does unlocked bootloader shows a tampering icon, samsung devices does?
Thanks

1. There isn't any change to the ability to receive updates.
2. No tampering icon. The bootloader splash screen will show the text "=> OEM unlocked" in white at the lower left of the display.
Appreciable Work!
As compared to CWM, it is working smoothly without any bugs and hats off,

Hi, I did not find any issue with it.. I can wake it up by simply pressing power button once.. Did it more than 5 times..
BUG - this recovery doesn't format SD ext even if it is present and thus skips the formatting of sd-ext

Yes,this recovery works on all three android one devices.Infact all threads in this section are compatible with the three devices
hi.
i managed to backup my entire rom.
without rooting or unlocking the boot loader.
and the only bug i found with this recovery is that once the device enters into sleep mode there is no way to wake it up i had to disible screen timeout but rest all works properly.
now my last question for now.
in my backup folder there are files like.
.android_secure.vfat.tar, .android_secure.vfat.tar.a, boot.img, cache.ext4.tar, cache.ext4.tar.a, data.ext4.tar, data.ext4.tar.a, data.ext4.tar.b, nandroid.md5, recovery.img, recovery.log, system.ext4.tar and system.ext4.tar.a
1. has it backuped all the partitions?
2. why do some files have .a and .b extensions is this normal?
3. what is the process of restoring the backup?
4. thanks a lot for making this recovery

Stuck! 4real!
Okay so i installed the ROM , but i always got the error processor.media stopped working , i could not enter Play Store or Music or Photos , or even download anything even if i connect the USB with my computer it showed a grayed :E Disk and when i double click on it it shows "Please enter your Disk." So i attempted to root my phone with iRoot and with MTK Droid Tools so i could use the Mobile Uncle Tools .apk cause for some reason it would not go to CWM when i press power+up volume and when it was installing iRoot or something it rebooted it self looks like it wiped the OS along with it and it got stuck on boot screen , from this point i attempted to flash kitkat ROM 4.jan.2015. but FlashTools does not detect my phone. So i cant do anything at all. If somebody has a idea on how can i fix this?
PS : Also CWM cant mount anything.

They are still struggling with 7.0 release while others have released 7.1. There is nothing to be proud about for Oneplus.

Or you could be a decent human being and not harass the dev team that already does more for their users than most other OEMs. Don't be a prick.
