MIUI V6 Kitkat - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
Will there ever be a MIUI V6 v4.4.2? I mean the kernel and the MI3 ROM is available, but not the 4.4.2 version. Is this a problem and what cons are there when flashing to this ROM?

Don't Post a Question in General section please.
The latest MIUI ROM is V5 which seems exactly 4.4.
You can download the latest version from here.http://en.miui.com/download-117.html
There are some bugs in it so flash it at your own risk.

First of all, every custom rom (based on custom kernel) requires an unlocked bootloader and as the bootloader unlock breaks the camera that functionality will be lost in each and every custom rom until Sony fixes the issue.

Yeah there are a few, under android development section that only require root.
monxDIFIED has been one of my fav's since Xperia Z
Bump, same question as topic.
My wifes z1c has camera and battery issues, i need a rom that just works, no bells or wistless, just that it works, all of it. Besides that, battery is the second most important thing.
Any advice on ROM, kernel, mods etc?

[Q] Help with ROM choosing

Hi everybody.
As the title says, I'm looking for help with choosing custom ROM. I do know that such thing as a best rom is quite subjective, but may be there are only few (or may be even one) ROM which will suit my needs. So I'm looking for custom pre-rooted ROM based on stock 4.3.1, most finished (doesn't need in future updates) stable, fast, optimized which only exists. The only two basic apps I need are Walkman and GAPPS So far I've found RomAur v12.1 ROM which is quite nice but it's based on KitKat. So is there anything similar, but only for 4.3.1? Any help is appreciated.
P.S. Sorry for the grammer mistakes, I might make.

+1 Tried several kit kat roms, all are glitchy, buggy, just don't seem right. So I've also decided to downgrade... If anyone can link me with 4.3 stock deodexed it would be great.

Yep, this link works fine, thanks installation manual is the same that is for V12, right? 4.2.2 root + recovery => wipe/factory => install ROM => flash 101 kernel via flashtool. Am I right (I have locked bootloader if it's matter)?

stock kernel will be included in the rom itself no need of flashing seperately
just wipe/factory, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache

Downloaded everything just fine and have allready tried to install it, but when flashing is finished it just goes to infinite bootloop. Keeps rebooting after the Xperia logo. Is there any chance that this ROM for unlocked bootloaders only? May be the real reason is that I should flash RomAur v11 from 4.3 stock, but not from 4.2.2. Going to check it out. Will report on results then.

I wiped it several times, but still, while I was flashing from 4.2.2 I got a bootloops everytime. I guess the ROM was designed for flashing from 4.3 I came to this thought after read through similar ROM for ZL:
1 - FOR C6506, INSTALLED JB 4.3 FW

Perhaps I've 2 persons interested onto, my problem before show it to them is : WHAT ROM FLASH ?
I've tried all the roms released this year. Baaaaaa, terrible. Every rom is a disaster, lag, slow, bugs... I've to return in the past ! But where in the past ? I've to flash a rom that who'll buy my phone may use. No excuse on this, an usable rom. I've to flash simply a JB 4.3 ? What kind ? What rom ? Or I've to go beyond, 4.2.2 ? Or even 4.0.x ? And the same, what kind of rom ?
Please, help me to flash a rom that is able to make my phone "normal", "standard", "usable", it doesn't matter what rom is, just 4.x.x :highfive:

Make sure you have a full backup of your device before doing anything else.
If you head over to the TWRP thread you will find a step by step installation guide to get TWRP installed, plus other important information.
You can flash any lollipop rom you like through TWRP just place the rom and gapps on your sdcard and follow the instructions provided in the roms thread.

If your ringtone resets after a reboot move the file to your internal SD card and set your ringtone again.

This could be caused by the FauxSound Control I added in the last build, I personally use Viper4android which improves both the volume and quality immensely.
I can try reverting the FauxSound Control in the next build to see if that helps.

If you are downgrading from 5.1 and having issues I would recommend a full wipe so format system, factory reset then flash the rom and gapps.

Search for the viper4android thread it has all the info there to get it installed.
You could try disabling NuPlayer in Developer Options to see if that helps with music playback, I disable it so viper4android can work correctly, I haven't experienced any issues with music stopping.

Umm, since the new update is out..wouldn't this mean you can fix the problem where you cant hear the other person when talking on the phone? or has this bug been fixed? Also, since lollipop stock rom is out wouldn't it help developers like you to improve the newer builds and make it more stable?
Also, are the unofficial builds still in testing or can it be used as a daily driver? Please reply ASAP because I have been itching to get lollipop for SOO long and am currently on cm 11 nightlies waiting for a stable cm12 builds to start rolling out..Thanks!

Call bug was fixed ages ago, as far as I am concerned this rom is stable for use as a daily driver.
Once Sony releases Lollipop for the c6603 and the kernel and blobs are available then developers far more capable then myself will begin upgrading our device to take advantage of the new release.

This release is not on the CyanogenMod website because it is an unofficial release as clearly stated in the OP, you asked if the rom was stable for daily driver use which I replied it was.
You can quite easily find details of device maintainers for most roms on their respective websites or by looking for their official thread here on xda.

I can't, you should read the comments, my bl unlock allowed: no.
There are basically two good LBL roms for Xperia SP: One running Android 4.4.2 and one running 5.0. The first one is just right - it doesn't hang up once per every hour, has no problem with switching from WiFi to mobile data and is basically perfect for a daily driver. Unlike te 5.0 one. Everything works and it's quite snap as well, but random hangups while trying to unlock the screen and problem with mobile data make it worse than 4.4.2 one.
4.4.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735841
5.0: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/xperiasp-locked-bootloader-lbl-t2947194
BTW: At 5.0, mobile data start to work again after switching airplane mode on and off and I'm not sure whether the hangups could be caused by my overclocking settings (rather not).

Oh, sorry, this is the 5.0 ROM I was talking about:

But check the other one as well, looks promising.
