+1...waiting for an answer on this before I flash.
If the ElementalX kernel is included this must be a GPe based rom...but it's safer to wait for dev to respond...

This is because Google does not allow to build Gapps into a Rom even in GPE´s sounds strange, but thats it

All devices which are able to run the stock Gpe (which apparently are only GSM versions i think) can run this Rom. So youre right

That's what I figured but seeing aosp and having to flash gapps gave me hope
Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

There´s a little Bug concerning sweep2Sleep. it will not work directly after flashing (i have to figure out why). If you want to have S2s please flash the ElementalX Kernel, which you can find in the OTA Center, again

How long does this rom take to install? I have been waiting for about 5 Mins. I'm redownloading the zip file again to be sure. Though I didn't do an MD5 Check.

We maintain a current release record and change-log on our website: http://www.teamoctos.com
-Do Not Mirror our files without talking to us. We can do that ourselves should we desire to.-
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat
ADB Logcat tutorial here: How to create a logcat log
Bugs:
Let us know if you run into bugs. Get Syslog from the Android Market, if you don't already have it. No logs and we can only try to recreate the event off of vague descriptions. Please also include what you were doing when it FCed or failed. Logs can be emailed to: [email protected]
Basic Instructions:
Download ROM .zip file
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Three-Finger or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
Flash ROM and GApps .zip files
Reboot
A Note about the Team OctOs GApps
We in Team OctOs believe in choices. We believe in leaving the fundamental decisions about your phone to you.
In that spirit, Team OctOs gives you options for your GApps experiences. While any GApps package should work, we offer you the choice of using some of the same GApps packages that we use ourselves, and leave the choice up to you.
The Dalvik-Enhanced packages are NOT ART compatible. If you plan to run ART, don't use those.

Thanks for providing excellent source to build on top of.
4.4 kicked us back to square one with the additional settings and everything. It was like the ICS to JB and GB to ICS before that. I had expected a simple update. That's what I get for expecting anything of the sort. :good:

They are supposed to be.
The idea is that you can have an almost 100% AOSP experience unless you choose not to. It's why out of the box you don't even have a Reboot option.

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE
** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **
DIRECTIONS
Boot to Recovery
BACKUP
Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Profit!
°°For those flashing custom kernels°°
Be aware- Vanir includes a script that enables their own kernel tweaks. This script does not play well with flashing custom kernels. The solution!
Flash ROM
Navigate to- /system/etc/init.d/
Delete the file- 00kernelcompat
Reboot to recovery
Flash kernel
Profit!
You can also open the ROM zip on your PC before flashing and remove the file from the same directory then flash the ROM and you're good to flash the kernel.
**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**
That said, a clean flash is always recommended

BTW, I'm running it with the latest KT 1/5 build and comadose, and also getting really great battery life.
Sorry for the link mixup everyone. Updated! happy flashing!

Also, before someone asks, the Commotio builds are basically the same with some slight theme/tweak differences.

Awesome sauce. Glad to see an official thread. Put xposed framework, gravity box, xiu mod, killjoy tweaks and KT's smooth azz kernel with this and its one amazing experience. Thnx for a super snappy Rom dev team.

I'm not in a place to test so I can't say with complete certainty, but, I know that in recent previous builds it was indeed working.

Hello and welcome to Fusion rom!
@coachcrey is the maintainer for m8.
Go and thank him for bringing our great rom to your device!!!
Our android based project started out as a private project for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Now a few years later we've gained much more experience and are proud to release it to the public.
Fusion rom is based on Android Lollipop and is built for a more user friendly environment and many fixes and improvements to the source code.
This results in a fast, battery friendly rom for your phone including many features for everybody to enjoy and customize the rom to their own likings.
This is not a single person project.
It's the work of many different people spending time to make Android better.

No I used the regular TWRP 2.8.7.0 and it flashed fine for me.
Flashed and booted right up for me. TWRP 2.8.7.0 and ATT One M8
UPDATE: As far as booting and flashing all is good. I do want to note that the custom color options for the notifications, QS tiles, and status bar header are causing issues. I ran into this problem on Carbon ROM, and no matter what I do themes will not theme properly with the correct colors. Even if I individually go into to every color and reset to Android default, still no go. Some themes theme correct with white, some with black, some with neither. I would ask that you possibly look into taking all the custom color options out. Another option would be to allow a global switch to disable all custom colors, or individually, whichever is easier. Also, until something is done, maybe some troubleshooting can be done to see what is the global default colors that will allow any theme to color properly like on CM12.1 or other ROMs without custom color options.
Thank you very much! Besides that issue, it is a very feature rich ROM and still runs very smooth! Keep up the great work!

AICPAICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
The development of this rom not stopped, I just need time to get my stuff back, for now no more updates
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!.STATUS: Stable!
In the beginning we would like to thank:

SlimBean rom team
CarbonRom team
LiquidSmooth rom team
Omni rom team
DU team
Community
Only Zenfone's A501CG-A500CG full support, Zenfone's A600CG & A601CG Have partial support
NOTE: Even supporting these models, ASUS sometimes ships different devices with same models, that's why there's unresolved bugs like No Camera after Unlocking Bootloader. If you have this bug, probably I will not be able to help you at all with the issues you find as my device is different from yours.
Installation Guide
Install the Intel USB Driver for Android Devices
Download all the required files
Extract the system 7z archive with 7-Zip or Winrar
Turn off your device, boot on DroidBoot (bootloader) mode (Power + Volume Up)
Unlock your device with The Bootloader Tool
Flash the AicpBoot and AicpSystem images with fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash boot bootAICP-11.0-day.img
fastboot flash systemAicpSystem-day.img
Erase your data and cache: (don't report bugs if you skipped this step)
Code:
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
You can also erase cache,dalvik-cache and data in TWRP 3.0.2
Important:
Flash OpenGapps before the first boot or it will have a lot of ForceCloses!!
Bugs:
Video recorded in 1080p lags
Workaround: Record videos in 720p quality
GPS does not work
Workaround: Try using A-GPS/Mobile Location
FM Radio does not work
Workaround: Try using TuneIn Radio, a lot of local radios are already there
Recently fixed bugs
System UI glitches
