[Q] Razr I stuck in a boot loop (Not the static red logo) - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My Razr I got stuck at the Red boot animation a few days ago. Its the animation of the red logo and intel logo and not the static M logo that comes at the start.
In detail, the phone shows the M animation where the waves are shown, sometimes it even shows the the intel animation and then returns to the animated M logo (Please note that it does not reboot and the static red logo does not appear). The phone keeps on doing this until I turn off the phone using the fastboot menu. Sometimes the phone passes the boot animation and turns on for about a couple of minutes until it starts happening again.
The phone has a locked boot-loader and is unrooted. Its on Stock 4.1.2 unrooted rom. Previously the phone used to have the problem of being stuck at the static M logo but @skupi20 found a workaround which was to use RSD lite and the stock rom and flash the system_signed file by editing the xml file. This used to fix the problem whenever it occurred. but flashing system_signed does not fix this problem. I have even tried flashing everything except for the erase_userdata phrase(I do not want to lose the data). The link to the previous problem's solution is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420032
I think the problem is not in the system files anymore thats why flashing it does not work. And as the phone does work sometimes it means something is causing the system to be stuck at the animation most of the time.
I would also like to mention that the phone has also booted to safemode a few times but it kept on saying Homescreen has stopped working so I couldn't do anything. I tried opening the settings and it said Sattings stopped working and closed it too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would be really thankful. Ihave tried to explain everything in detail but ask me if there is any other question.

Can anybody maybe help me understand what each of the partitions are for in the stock rom's xml file. Or maybe direct me to another thread where it is already explained. Thanks.

Since nobody said anything. I erased userdata(So had to lose all data) as well and it works fine now. I flashed a complete stock version of the Rom.

Was on vacation, so i would not reply to it. But the userdata erase was the only solution

Okay then you can take a pass since you were on vacation.

hmm, i am wondering, do u have a xt890. This device doesn't have a droid eye But it has a red motorola logo or a unlcok message.
Anyway, can u access fastboot? Do u have an unlocked bootloader? If u can access fastboot, can u boot in recovery.

[Q] Boot loop stock

Hello, folks!
I have a Milestone with stock android (2.1 I guess, after an OTA update from the provider) that was in the drawer for ca. 2 years because the POWER/VOL/CAM flat cable was bad. I changed the cable, was able to boot normally one or twice.
Now the phone freezes with the white motorola symbol.
When I turn it on with PWR + D-pad UP, I get into the bootloader v. 90.73.
Werid thing is that when I try to boot into recovery (PWR + CAMERA), I still get into the bootloader, so I can't get into recovery to try installing another rom to circumbent the boot lock-up.
Ideas to solve this?
Thanks!
It seems like your bootloader is corrupted.
If i were you, i would upgrade it to the latest version (90.78) and try with it.
(Also you should consider using CM7 or even CM10.)
Thanks!
How can I upgrade the bootloader? Is there a zip or an img file somewhere to push?
I dont know exactly, i didnt have to do it before.
I'm pretty sure, you can brick your device with this if something goes wrong.
I think you will need the following:
-Drivers
-RSDLite
-proper SBF file from here
But i dont know if you need to boot into bootloader mode or something.
Please, be very-very careful, maybe you should wait if someone with more knowledge gives you any advice.

Well, thanks anyway.
Did you manage to get the Device manage to take the new boot loader via usb?
If it did load the SBL try loading the vulnerable recovery sbf then put open recovery on to your SD card. If you can get that fair then I'd imagine you could load a new OS on to it without much issue. Lots of guides out there.

Phone does not boot

recently after i flashed a rom, i press reboot, then the screen shows nothing, not even the HTC logo (it might have booted, just not showing anything, i hear it vibrate), i wait for 20 mins but screen still doesn't show anything, tried flashing different roms but still the same! Any idea why?
also the bootloader doesn't show up on the screen, i have to guess whether recovery might be selected and only recovery shows up..

[Q] Bricked my phone... but weirdly.

Hello... I seem to have bricked my phone but it's a weird brick. I tried a new ROM since I was having problems with my old one, and it got stuck on a reboot loop. I just didn't know what to do and (very stupidly, in retrospective...) just wiped the system partition. Now of course I can't access xRecovery (to be fair, they warned against doing that) and I don't remember if I had CWM installed at the time.
The phone was rooted, stock kernel.
Now, I can boot the phone and get stuck on Sony Ericsson logo... so far so good. But when I try to get it into flash mode, it won't boot. Is there anything I can do to un-brick it?
I tried Flashtool, PCC and SEUS. But since I can't boot into flash mode, it doesn't work.
If there's any more info I can provide please tell me and I will.
Thanks a lot.
Have you tried with flashtool as described in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35338935&postcount=2 ?

Yes, I tried Flashtool, SEUS and PCC. I un-bricked it from soft bricks quite a few times. But I can't now because I can't boot on flash mode.

Dude looks like it just a soft brick ... u can download the official firmware for this model and try to flash it from flashtool..power off phone, hold back button key left on right side and connect the USB to PC at the same time,... PC will detect your phone and turns to blue light..
In my case i totally ****ed up when i tried to unlock the bootloader. Now my phone is totally dead.. can't go to falshmode, phone won't start at all... but in your case at least your phone is turning on in sony ericsson logo which means its just a soft brick ...

if you have unlocked bootloader.
try this. it should go into flash mode this way.
launch flashtool. select some kernel. alfs or nAa.
take the phone battery out. connect the usb and then put in the battery immediately.
it should start flashing the kernel. then you can use the cwm integrated in the kernel

I imagined xD. I just tried with that too.
With flashtool, it gets stuck on "Reading device information" (I wanted to post edit and post this but the forum didn't let me xD). I'll let it try a little bit longer, but it's been a while.

This recovery working for you? Others stated the one in the op works just fine, but since I do not have this device to test personally I can only go off of what users say.
it's working for me, after i flash the ROM i think my phone got bootloop that's why i boot again to download mode but when i tried to flash stock rom it gives a fail. now my phone stuck on led blue light and "Recovery Booting (Blue text color) and "Set Warranty Bit: Recovery" (Yellow Text Color). i need to wait to drain the battery and try if i can boot to download mode again.. i'm afraid if i can't access download mode again or recovery.
You guys are remembering to format data on a new twrp install or a new os version install? 6-7,7-8 get it? These roms or recoverys will not brick the devices I made them for kinda impossible.
You do know a brick right? Brick = no power nothing just a pricey paperweight.
how about my problem "Recovery Booting (Blue text color) and "Set Warranty Bit: Recovery" (Yellow Text Color) and it keeps restarting i can't access recovery either download mode

it won't my phone to unlock bootloader everytime i run CROM it closes automatically. until now i can't believe my phone was bricked and i don't have any idea to fix this without download mode. even if i bring this to service center i think they will not to accept my phone because my warranty is already void.

Hello! first of all thank you for this thread. I've been reading since the first thread that sir Travis has created.
I just can't unlock my bootloader, I think it is the reason why I am having bootloops after installing the rom , and even I install the rom in this thread I am still having the bloated one after installing.
I tried installing different CROM Services from every other sources that I found, but still no luck. CROM service has stopped -error I get when opening after installing it on my phone.
I also tried factory resetting my phone then install CROM but still same error occurs.
I hope you can help me guys. Thank you in advance!
