Double Tap to unlock. - Sprint HTC One (M8)

I don't want this feature, I've disabled it in my rom, I've disabled it in widgetlocker, yet it is still there. Nova launcher does not even have the option to disable, could it be Nova that's causing this? I can't seem to disable it.

You could try using the Sense 6 Toolbox (Xposed module) and disabling it from there.

Oh, I doubt it then. That's probably the reason you're not able to disable it.

So I would have to flash back to a sense ROM to disable it?

I would only be guessing because I've only used Sense on this phone. I would think if you flash back to Sense you'd be able to control it. It may also be kernel related... What kernel are you using?

Linux kernel, (liquidsmooth).

I may be wrong, and I'm sure to be corrected if I am, but on AOSP I believe Double Tap to Wake is a feature that has to be enabled by the kernel. Try Trickster Mod and swipe all the way to the right. Should be a drop down box with the option to enable DT2W.
Its been awhile, and things could have changed. This is how I activated and deactivated when using my M5.

Follow this guy. Double Tap depends solely on the kernel developer.

Unless its been changed in the latest svns d3rp doesn't have this capability yet. I think viper is the only one actually.
Thanks for confirming this has been removed. It was driving me crazy looking for the setting. And I was so hoping to avoid romming this phone as long as possible.
i think it might be in dev options
I have the mod in my mod pack but it will replace settings.apk in your ROM, so you could lose tweaks from a custom ROM...I can add the option if u post Settings.apk from your ROM
If I open the Car app while charging the screen doesn't turn off. Straight stock unrooted.
i think you can accomplish this with tasker. no root needed.

Any pie control app work with the n6?

I don't like the factory software buttons for back, home, recent app list.
I miss having the full screen and being able to swipe in with pie control. Anyone have this implemented yet?
Does anyone know the build.prop tweak for nexus 6 to remove the stock nav buttons?
If you're rooted you can disable the nav bar with a build. Prop tweak, then use LMT launcher (not launcher replacement) for pie
I use PIE Control on Play. Works great, but requires root. It also asks for a bunch of permissions as you can control the entire device with it

@skripta, are you using the one by coolace? I was just using that one and it didn't work... I'm rooted, but never got a prompt to grant root privielage to it.

I think it only needs root of you have the 3 dot menu in pie and go to use it.

@skripta, I see the problem. I'm trying to use it from the bottom and not the sides. If I try the sides, it works fine... Odd
Perhaps cause I haven't deactivated the stock softbutton controls is why the bottom doesn't work?

Negative, copy paste. That flag tells Android that you have hardware keys, and therefore disable the Navbar.

Yeah i get that since this has been an option in almost all roms, but wondering what happens then if you do this on a phone with no physical buttons. Lol are you just stuck in whatever you go in?

Stuck a bit, you can still access settings via status bar.
You can always adb and change the build.prop by computer. SlimROM already has a toggle cooked in Settings to enable/disable navbar or change the size.

Nexus 6 Toggles

Is it possible to add more toggles to the pulldown panel? I'm looking to add the sound, sync, and NFC toggles.
Not without a custom ROM. ?

Not a feature available in stock or custom ROMs yet. Maybe in custom ROMs in the future.

Going to bump this because I too want an nfc toggle (just started using google wallet, so nifty). But I'm really and I mean really surprised no one talks about this or have even tried to implement custom toggles for the quick settings

If you don't want to change Roms only to do that you can also give XPosed Framework a try. I am running the Alpha 2 version at this moment with the Gravitybox module. Gravitybox is out for Lollipop for a week or 2 now. Just checked for you, I can add NFC, Sync and Volume toggles and lots more.
I use Power Toggles with the added bonus that the toggles are reachable from the lock screen.

I use Xposed Alpha 2 with Gravitybox LP and it works great for what you want.

I'm debating on doing this, but should I still do it or just wait for the 5.1 update then do this mod, because I do actually like staying stock this time around

Apart from being being rooted, I have stock.
Updating with official updates is fairly easy, though a bit more work.
It works by downloading the update images from the google nexus website. And following this guide (executing a few commands): http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/guide-flash-factory-images-nexus-6shamu-t2954008
Check under the header 'Method 2 : (Long, but works always)'. Just make sure you skip the step which flashes userdata.img. This will wipe your userdata which you do not want.
Flashing boot.img will make you lose root, but after you can reapply root for that update and it should all still work.
--- UPDATE ---
Nevermind. XPosed doesn't work on 5.1 yet. Developer said it might take some time. See his statement here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59370883&postcount=5
Just do whatever you like.

Double tap to wake

Hello,
I did a little searching but could not find anything specific to my setup. I'm going crazy trying to get double tap back on my phone. I know double tap to wake was working earlier in the day then I messed about in settings and I just can not find what I did that caused double tap to wake not to work, I'm running the Cataclysm rom on an otherwise stock 6.0.1. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy and haunt you all.
Thanks
See if you changed something in smart lock.
mikeprius said:
Download Kernal Auditor in googleplay and under one of the tweaks is a double tap to wake. I've tried a few different double tap to wake mods and none of them really work as well as Lollipop, but it's something. I noticed it only works when tapping the lower center like 1 sec between taps.

its not in any settings, as google disabled it before releasing the n6. however, it can be re-enabled, with root of course. it can be included in a custom rom or you can use this nexus 6 double tap to wake app to enable it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codechron.n6doubletapunlock

Go to Settings > Security and scroll down to Trust Agents. Within that page, turn on Smart Lock. Go back and you will find Smart Lock where expected. Just learned this last month.

Then I definatley borked something. Smart lock used to be there when I bought the phone. I bought it already modified from ECrispy, the developer here. He restored everything to stock then flashed Cataclysm 6.0.1 on it and shipped it out to me. Guess I did somehting to it

Bet your setting it to full screen arent you? Set it for half screen and it will stick. Its a bug the Dev doesnt care to fix. Has been reported hundreds of times.

I experienced it first hand. Took a lot of research to find out what was causing the problem. It certainly is not well publicized.
Note that you have to reboot after enabling animations, for UI manager to be accessible.
