[Q] SuperUser MOD on KitKat 4.4.2 - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, I tried doing SuperUser mod for my phone to use this theme but it doesn't seem to be working, I followed DavidMKD's guide, tried using one from a custom rom and Serajr Xposed module but doesn't seem to work. Is there any other file that has to be modified in the new Android KitKat to get it working?

[Q] Xposed Tweaks for L90

To customize the L90 by Xposed, lower the Instaler Xposed Xposed G2 and it works very well in this model, and can customize the way you want your device. Root required for this. I even tested it.

I use 3c toolbox and xblast tools modules with xposed.

Do you know someone how install Xposed framework without using TWRP or CWM recovery? I have LG L90 D405n and run Lollipop 5.0.2 with root access. Thanks.

You need recovery for this. No other method unfortunatelly.
I am looking some other solution without recovery install. Thanks anyway.
You'll have to check xposed installation pack (script) and try to repeat it manually... But why no recovery? You can revert to stock recovery after installing xposed framework

Deodexing 5.1.1

Could someone explain me how to properly deodex Stock Sony Lollipop 5.1.1? I have tried the same method used on 5.0.2 but framework folder is giving me bootloops.
Yes same poblem here
How we can deodex 5.1.1 on xperia z ?
@IaguCool @serajr
Don't know why you're having such a problem, I've already deodexed 5.1.1 for Z to port some apps to my Z1. Didn't have any problems.

Deodex framework also, use JoelDroid:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and.../script-app-joeldroid-lollipop-batch-t2980857
But replace its "tools/oat2dex.jar" with this oat2dex.jar:
https://github.com/testwhat/SmaliEx/blob/master/smaliex-bin/oat2dex.jar
This will prevent the mistakes in services.jar and framework.jar.
Also you should decompile services.jar and replace the compareSignature function just in case. ("Super user mod")

Dear you mean:
I download oat2dex.jar from this link:
https://github.com/testwhat/SmaliEx/blob/master/smaliex-bin/oat2dex.jar
and replace here ( tools/oat2dex.jar ) with joeldroid-lollipop-batch
then try to deodex 5.1.1 and finally when finished , make superuser mod .yes?
is it any thing more?
thanks

Their oat2dex might be outdated, and that causes deodexing mistakes in services.jar and framework.jar. Try my method.

Yup, that's what happening, if you only replace files from app and priv-app you won't get any bootloop (maybe a phone fc when answring a call), but go with framework folder and it'll go bootloop all the way around
Mail me a Xperia Z device and I might be able to help XD
Anyways, I'm using Z1 with 5.1.1 fully deodexed and highly customized by me (modified many system apps). Works damn perfect...

[Theme][flashable] Dark stock 118

Needed:
- Superuser mod
- SeLinux permissive
Features:
- Dark notifications
- Dark framework
- Dark settings
- No teal, mostly replaced with flat blue
Issues:
- Some black-on-black icons, (I don't care so much about it, but maybe I'll get around to fixing at some point.
- Some apps with light theme will create pop-ups and menus with black-on-black or white-on-white. Can be fixed by modding the app apk, or choosing dark mode, (if an option), or modding primary text in framework to be visible on light or dark, or being an expert who knows just how to code the files properly to deal with it, (I'm not).
Instructions:
- Flash zip
Revert:
- Best idea is to make 2 copies of the zip, and before you flash it, rename one of the copies to 'revert' or something, and delete the 'Settings', 'SystemUI', and 'SemcSettings' folders, as well as the framework-res.apk, and replace them all with your current ones. Then flash the theme, and when you want to go back, just flash 'revert'.
- Or, backup everything first, and restore it if you want to.

I spent some time today porting smali files and replacing public ids, and I was able to get it to compile and boot fine, but still not showing option to select it. I ported in all files having to do with 'xperialoops clock', which is what the widget is called, but I think it might require also replacing clock view and other smali. Id/smali work is pretty time-consuming. Maybe I'll try more at some point..

I got it working. You can try my SystemUI, and test. I have also ported many files from eXistenZ rom, so I don't know for sure if it will work without some of those files also, but let me know, (make a backup first).
