[Q] n7000 - n8000

Galaxy note 10.1 has same : proccessor , Gps radio , resolution .... well battery is 2 as big but ... would it be possible to port it's rom to note phone ? Oh hell who am I kidding ? By the time 10.1 comes out we will have android 5 running on the phone .
wtf, you asked a question and answered by yourself?

This. Hahah!
Mh well I suppose it'd be possible, but that Tablet isn't a real phone, and probably isn't exactly the same as the N7000.
With some work it could work, but we'll just have to wait and see.
n7000 - n8000
pretty similar specs . You can compare them on pdadb dot net

[Q] ROMs for the P7510?

Does anyone know where I can find roms for the 10.1 wifi-only P7510? All the roms listed seem to be for gsm/cmda or for the smaller (7") wifi model. I had an old ICS build at one point for my tablet, but I can't seem to find that one anymore either.
Alternately, does anyone know if I can use other roms on the P7510?
Thanks!

Dude, your in wrong forum.
If you want 10.1 roms go to the 10.1 forum. This is the P1000 forum (first 7" tab) and is a completely different device.
given the name of the forums...
Samsung Galaxy Tab -->Galaxy Tab General --> [Q] ROMs for the P7510?
That's completely misleading.
Thanks though.

How is it completely misleading? Its you who is completely confused.
The P1000 was the first Galaxy Tab, It was/is just called "Galaxy Tab".
What you have is a newer model called "Galaxy Tab 10.1" which is a completely different device. Also, you obviously didn't even bother to look properly or you would have seen the other Tab forums.
There is more then one Galaxy Tab so obviously there is going to be more then one Galaxy Tab forum, pretty much common sense really.

CM for Tab S2 T710 compatible with T715?

Hi there. I hope someone in this subforum can help me out.
I noticed that a CyanogenMod port for the Galaxy Tab S2 T710 (WiFi) started. But the developer mentioned that it will be unlikely to have a CM port for the T715 (LTE) in the future.
But I'm wondering if it will be possible to use the T710 ROM for the T715 version (and than only lose the LTE capability)?
I ask because for some reasons they dont sell the T710 WiFi version in Germany. So I could either buy the LTE version and hope it will work with CM or I could import a WiFi version which would be a bit more complicated.
Thanks
Hi there,
I would also be highly interested in a T715N-solution.
Is there a way we can promote this?
Thanks in adavance.
If you live close to the border of Belgium or Holland, you can buy a T710 there.
Do you really think I would seriously ask for a T715-solution, if I would not already own one?
Did you open this thread? If so, you got me confused with your 2 usernames.
My answer was in response to his question.

Looking to upgrade Nexus 7 to s2 710

How is development on the S2 8" 710? I'm looking for a newer tab just for media, browsing ,rooting/roms and xposed.
I don't want bigger just newer/ faster.
Any help is appreciated.

Development in general for tablets are pretty slow compared to phones. Tab S2 has decent development going on, but it will not be as good as Nexus 7.
For better development, Nexus 9 is still an option, but not as good a hardware as S2.
That link you quoted, the rom in Nougat, and there are some good developers involved in that project. There are other aosp roms available.
I have researched long before purchasing my S2, and I am pretty sure there is no other tablet with decent hardware that has as much development ongoing.
For more future proofing, you can get the s2 713 snapdragon version, or if your budget permits, wait for S3.

713 most likely gonna get a Nougat update from Samsung, while 710 being a year older have very slim chances. If you are okay with aosp roms, 710 is not a bad option...

There's a AOSP Oreo roms for Note 5, like Lineage OS, Resurrection Remix and AOSP Extended, bit if u talking about Samsung Experience, wait for A8 2016 get Oreo, port for N5, S6E+, S6E and S6 maybe in 2 weeks after A8 2016 get Oreo official.
Nobody develop Note FE/S7 Edge OREO port for Note 5..............
to start working on Oreo port we need SM-A810 Oreo firmware first - that A8 2016 has same cpu and gpu and a lot more in common with N5

I am happy to hear that there is still a hope for OREO port.
I agree with that thanks to developers for make that posible.
So the A8 oreo is out since 24th July. Is there any hope for oreo port to note 5 and s6 edge+? If yes, how long will it take for developers to port it.
And also considering same chipset, will we receive officail oreo?
Please reply.
waiting for release of kernel sources by Samsung btw to fulfill the dream of keeping development for other Exynos 7420 devices alive.

I'm currently happy with what we have, but I wouldn't say no to Oreo TW
Thanks for people working hard to bring us these experiences
Let's all hope Samsung doesn't take long for that

I actually have S6 Edge+ G928T. But I posted in Note 5 forums because S6 Edge+ forums are pretty much dead. Please let me know if S6 Edge+ gets something.

At the moment it's just S6 flat (G920I/F) is getting love with Oreo, then it's going to follow the S6 Edge and the Note 5, I do not know anything for the S6 Edge+
A8 2016 (A810S) port booted in a Note 5

If Note 5 gets it then I think s6 edge+ should get it too. Because pretty much everything is same. And also most of the roms for note 5 works perfectly fine on S6 edge+, but the thing is it requires kernel. If you could please port it to S6 Edge +, it would be a great favour.
FYI Oreo is running smoothly but still bugs to fix and spen features to add, from FE or N8, probably N9
